Unit 3 My Week
Period one
Teaching target: What day is it today? -It’s Monday.
What do you do on Monday? I play the violin on Monday. Teaching key: vocabularies (the seven day of a week),sounds and words ”ay” /ei/ Step 1: Warming up
(口语练习前先进行学生分组)
Oral practice: Show a picture to the students, let Ss ask some questions according to the picture, then answer the questions. (In order to review the words and sentences we learned before.)
Step 2: Presentation 1
1.Lead in: T: What day is it today? (show the Chinese meaning on the PPT)
Ss: 星期六( T guide Ss to say out “Saturday”).
T: Today we will learn the seven days of a week.
2.To explain the meaning of “day” and ”week”.
3.T: How many days are there in a week? Ss: There are 7.
4.Put the word cards on the blackboard and have Ss read after the recorder: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, week.(板书词卡,一边板书一边教学生读)
5.Read the new words several times.
6.Let Ss share their ways to memorize these words.
7.Game: Put the days into a right order.
8.Practice the sentence pattern: What day is it today? - It’s _________.
Step 3: Presentation 2
1.T: What do you do every day? We can do many things in a day. Let’s review some phrases.
2.Review phrases: play basketball, play ping pong, play soccer, play tennis, play baseball, play the piano, play the violin.
3.Look and say - to practice sentence pattern:
What do you do on _____? - I _____ on _____.
Step 4: Consolidation
1.Read the new words and phrases together.
4.Practice: let’s make sentence.
Step 5: Homework
1. 课本P22 Practice
2.(按实际回答问题,写在书上);
2. 课本P24 Activity 2.(组合单词,写在书上);
3. 口语练习:看图(课本P18);
4. 大声朗读Unit3的内容15分钟。
