1.设问方式灵活。
主要体现在:①设问的语境化。
②设问使用同义转述。
③设问点改变。
2.选项设计干扰性强。
材料设计构思巧妙,关键信息点合理分布,给题目设问的灵活性和选项的干扰性提供了条件。
每一道题的选择不仅要求考生听清原文,而且要求考生透彻理解题干,准确捕捉关键信息。
3.事实细节类题目与推理判断类题目比重相当。
事实性的具体信息是理解、把握对话或独白主旨必不可少的内容,也常常是听力部分的重点考查项目。
话语发生的场合、说话者之间的关系等,也是听力测试所要考查的重点项目。
无论对话或独白,设题很少从材料中直接获取,而是更多地要求考生对所听内容进行分析、归纳、总结,并能理解谈话者的言外之意,揣摩谈话者的态度及观点。
PETS-2听力设题的灵活性增加和选项的干扰性增强符合新课标的要求,是PETS-2听力发展的趋势。
采用符合考试要求的材料和试题,学生能听懂并能选出正确的选项,是日常训练的基本目标。
二、具体分析
Text 1
W: Hi Jack.Could you help me carry these books?
M: I’d love to, Mary.But I need to meet Professor Johnson in his office immediately.
1.What is Jack going to do?

[B]Meet Professor Johnson.
[C]Help Mary carry the books.
【解析】考查考生获取事实性信息的能力。
此题从男士的话“I’d love to, Mary. But I need to meet Professor Johnson in his office immediately.”可知,他乐意帮忙,但是,他需要马上去约翰逊教授的办公室和他见面,言外之意就是他不能给她提供帮助。
此题需要考生抓住关键词“but”,一般来讲,当话语中的话题一转,出现but时,就要特别注意but后的内容。

此题材料比较灵活,但从选项来看,B、C选项干扰性不大,相对容易。

W: Good evening, and welcome to Young Writers of the Year. At only 19, this Oxford student has already published a novel. He is a student in Physics, but has a special interest in English writing. As you probably know, his novel is based on his childhood experience. And he is particularly popular among college students. Now, we’re very happy to have Simon with us tonight. Simon, welcome to the program!
M: Thanks. It’s a pleasure to be here. I was lucky, I suppose. Here I am now with a published novel on my first attempt.
W: So could you tell us more about your novel?
M: Well, it’s called My Diary, and it’s kind of an everyday story of my life and schooling in South Africa. You know, my father is a news reporter, and I stayed there with him for three years. M: Hello, everyone. Today I’m here to share with you a study we’ve done recently. In the study, we find children gain weight during the summer. We discover that hot weather, unhealthy food and playing without a good plan all play a role. What happens to our children during the summer? Before we are able to answer this question, we have to know something about our children at school. During the school year, children have to follow school rules. For example, they must have regular meal times. But this is no longer true in the summer. As far as I know, a lot of children don’t have breakfast and lunch. They just have one huge meal in the middle of the afternoon. This sort of eating behavior surely leads to weight gain. And also, unhealthy food is everywhere. It’s at schools, homes and offices. In addition, when parents go to work, children are often left by themselves. They can choose to go outside to play, or do some reading at home. But most of them just play computer games. I also want to point out that children’s being overweight has a lot to do with the parents. I advise all parents to watch their own habits. In America, almost 65% of our population is overweight. And two thirds of our children are being raised by overweight parents.

三、特点详述
总体而言,本次考试延续以往二级考试独有的风格,透过熟悉的话题,巧妙的试题来考查对语言的综合运用能力。
选项和材料内容的普遍干扰,语言的口语化,使得少数题目学生即使听懂了材料,也有可能选不对答案,所以学生在平时的训练中要选用符合二级考试标准的材料与试题进行训练。
纵观二级考试真题,我们发现听力考试越来越重视对学生真实听力水平以及日常交际能力的考查。
建议如下:
(1)广泛接触各种日常话题和各方面的题材,精听泛听双管齐下,熟悉生活场景词汇及表达,练习相关的英文口语表达,以促进听力能力水平的提升;
(2)加强基础知识的学习,如理解字、词、句的准确含义及言外之意,掌握句子结构,选择信息点丰富,题目灵活,选项干扰性强,话题与长度符合考试要求的资料有针对性的进行训练。
学生要多听多练,真正理解材料,熟悉设问点,训练思维。
(3)老师需要从整体上熟悉和揣摩二级听力的话题特点、设问方式及选项特点,甄别好的练习材料,训练学生听力答题思维,并增加各方面日常话题的练习,鼓励学生留心观察生活,积累素材。
(4)平时训练时尽量听与正常语速接近的材料。
可多看些美剧及原版电影,体验真实的对话场景,训练时候采用不同的录音主播,提高自己的适应能力,以不变应万变,做到能真正听懂外国人的交谈。
