小学五年级英语作文《日程安排》
My Daily Schedule
Hello! My name is Sam and I'm a 5th grade student. Today I wanted to tell you all about my typical daily schedule during the school week. I hope you find it interesting!
Every morning, my annoying alarm clock wakes me up at 6:30am. I don't like getting up that early, but I have to be ready for school. The first thing I do is get dressed for the day. I put on my school uniform - a white collared shirt, navy blue pants, and black shoes. Then I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and comb my hair.
At 7:00am, I go downstairs for breakfast. My mom always makes me something yummy like pancakes, oatmeal, or eggs and toast. While I'm eating, I pack up my backpack to make sure I have everything I need for the school day - my books, notebooks, pencils, calculator, snacks, water bottle, and anything else I might need that day.
Once I'm all ready, my dad drives me to school. We have to leave by 7:45am so I can get there on time. The drive takes about 15 minutes. I always look out the window and watch for my friend James' house so I can wave to him as we pass by. When we
get to school, my dad drops me off at the front entrance at
8:00am and I head inside to my 5th grade classroom.
My first class starts at 8:15am. It's usually math or
reading/writing. I really like math because I'm good at it and I enjoy working with numbers. Reading is okay too, especially if we're reading an exciting story. Writing can be hard though because it's not easy to come up with good ideas and make them sound good on paper.
At 9:30am we have a 15 minute snack and recess break. I eat my snack really fast so I can go play on the playground with my friends. We love racing around, playing on the swings and monkey bars, and making up fun games. Recess is definitely my favorite part of the day!
After recess, we have science class from 9:45 to 10:30am. Science is awesome because we get to do a lot of cool experiments. Last week we made little volcanos out of baking soda and vinegar and watched them "erupt". It was so much fun and kind of messy too which made it even better!
From 10:30 to 11:15am we have social studies where we learn about history, geography, government, and other cultures around the world. I find social studies really interesting,
especially when we get to learn about ancient civilizations like the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans.
At 11:15am we head off to lunch and recess. Lunch is probably my second favorite part of the day because I get to eat and then play again with my friends. The school lunch isn't too bad - usually a sandwich or chicken nuggets with some fruits and veggies on the side. After eating, we get to play outside for 45 minutes before heading back to class.
In the afternoon from 12:30 to 2:00pm, we have our "special" classes. These change each day, rotating between art, music, gym, computer lab, and library time. Art class lets me be creative through drawing, painting, clay sculpting, and other fun projects. Music is cool because we sing songs and learn to play instruments like the recorder. Gym class is awesome for getting out tons of energy by playing games and sports. Computer lab lets me practice typing and learn about technology. And library time gives me a chance to check out new books to read.
After our special class, we head back to our main classroom for our last two classes of the day. From 2:00 to 2:45pm we usually have language arts where we work on spelling, grammar, and writing assignments. I find writing pretty tough but I'm
getting better at it. Then our final class from 2:45 to 3:30pm could be more math, reading, science, or social studies.
At 3:30pm, it's finally time to go home! My dad picks me up and we head home, talking about how my day went on the drive. Once I'm home, I get to relax for a little bit and have an
after-school snack while watching a show or playing outside if the weather is nice.
Around 5:00pm, it's time to start my homework. I try to get as much of it done as I can before dinner at 6:30pm. My mom and dad really want me to get good grades so they make sure I don't spend too much time playing video games or watching TV until my homework is all finished. After dinner, if I still have homework left, I'll finish it up before getting ready for bed around 8:30pm.
I take a shower, put on my pajamas, brush my teeth, and then read for a little while before going to sleep at 9:00pm. I'm always exhausted after a long day at school! Then I wake up the next morning and repeat the whole schedule again. Some days can be tough with all the schoolwork, but I have a lot of fun with my friends and like learning new things.
