篇1
Don't Litter
Littering is a bad habit that many people have. It not only makes our environment dirty and unattractive, but it also harms animals and pollutes the earth. As responsible citizens, we should all make an effort to reduce littering and keep our surroundings clean.
First of all, when we litter, we are creating unsightly messes that can damage the beauty of our neighborhood. Trash on the streets, in the parks, or on the beaches can make these places unappealing and unwelcoming. Nobody wants to live in or visit a place that is full of garbage. By picking up after ourselves and properly disposing of our trash, we can help make our communities more attractive and pleasant for everyone.
Secondly, littering can be harmful to animals. Animals may eat trash that is lying around, mistaking it for food, and this can make them sick or even cause them to die. Plastic bags, for example, can be mistaken for jellyfish by sea turtles, leading to
choking or blockages in their digestive systems. By throwing our trash in the right place, we can prevent harm to our furry and feathered friends.
Furthermore, littering can have negative effects on the environment. When trash is left on the ground, it can wash into water sources and pollute them. This can harm aquatic life, contaminate drinking water, and disrupt ecosystems. Additionally, some types of litter, like plastic bags and bottles, can take hundreds of years to break down, creating long-term environmental damage. By properly disposing of our trash, we can help protect the planet for future generations.
In conclusion, littering is a harmful and irresponsible behavior that we all must work to eliminate. By taking responsibility for our own trash and encouraging others to do the same, we can help create a cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful world. Let's all do our part to keep our environment clean and free of litter. Remember: don't litter!

Don't Litter
Littering is a bad habit that many people have. It not only makes our surroundings look messy, but it also harms the
environment. As responsible citizens, we should all do our part to keep our streets, parks, and beaches clean by not littering.
When we throw trash on the ground, it can be blown by the wind or carried by rainwater into our waterways. This can pollute our rivers, lakes, and oceans, harming the plants and animals that live there. Litter can also attract pests like rats and insects, spreading diseases and causing a health hazard for humans.
Littering is also harmful to wildlife. Animals can get trapped in or eat plastic bags, bottles, and other garbage, leading to injuries or even death. By throwing our garbage in the proper bins, we can help protect the animals that share our planet.
Not only does littering harm the environment and wildlife, but it also costs a lot of money to clean up. Governments spend millions of dollars each year on litter removal and waste management. This money could be better spent on education, healthcare, and other important services if people simply disposed of their trash properly.
As individuals, we can make a difference by taking simple actions to reduce littering. Always carry a trash bag with you when you go out, and dispose of your trash in designated bins. Encourage your friends and family to do the same, and lead by
example by picking up litter when you see it, even if it's not your own.
By working together, we can create a cleaner, healthier environment for ourselves and future generations. Let's all do our part and say no to littering!

Title: Don't litter - A Message from Fourth Graders
As fourth graders, we have learned about the importance of taking care of the environment. One way we can do this is by not littering. Littering is when we throw trash on the ground instead of putting it in the proper place, like a trash can. When we litter, it can harm plants, animals, and even our own health.
One reason why we should not litter is because it can harm animals. Animals, like birds and fish, can mistake litter for food and eat it. This can make them sick or even cause them to die. Litter can also get tangled in animals' fur or fins, making it hard for them to move or breathe. This is not fair to the animals who call the environment their home.
Another reason why we should not litter is because it can harm plants. Litter can block sunlight and prevent plants from growing. It can also release harmful chemicals into the soil, which
can make it difficult for plants to survive. This can disrupt the balance of the ecosystem and harm the environment as a whole.
Furthermore, littering can also harm our health. Litter can attract pests, like rats and flies, which can spread diseases to humans. It can also pollute the air and water, making it unsafe for us to breathe or drink. By not littering, we can help keep ourselves and our communities healthy.
In conclusion, as fourth graders, we want to remind everyone to not litter. Instead, we should always put our trash in the proper place, like a trash can or recycling bin. By doing this, we can protect the environment, animals, and ourselves. Remember, every little bit helps, so let's all do our part to keep our world clean and beautiful. Thank you for listening.。
