第二节:完形填空(共15小题;每小题1分,共15分)

Years ago, if a teenager had some problems in his life, he might go home and write in his diary. Now, a teenager with 36 problems might go onto the Internet and write about them in a blog (博客). In many ways, a diary and a blog are very 37 .So, what makes blogging different from writing in 38 diary?
The biggest difference is that blogging is much more 39 than a diary. Usually, a teenager treats her diary like a book full of 40 that she does not want to 41 .
It’s interesting that someone who writes in a blog 42 a diary will probably write nearly the same information. I have a little sister, and sometimes I go online to read her 43 . She writes about things like waking up early for swimming practice and not studying enough for her chemistry test.
44 I was at her age, I wrote about the same things, but 45 in my diary. Then, after I had finished writing, I would hide my diary in a secret place because I was 46 that my sister might read it!
The biggest 47 with blogging is that anyone can read what you write. If I was angry with a friend during high school and wrote something 48 about her in my diary, she would never know.
49 , if my sister ever wrote something bad about a friend, that friend_50 read her blog and get angry.
There are also 51 to blogging, of course. If I was feeling sad one day and wrote in my diary, “Nobody cares about me.” 52 would know about it. However, if my sister wrote the same sentence in her blog, her best friends would 53 respond and tell her how much they 54 her. Blogs help people stay in 55 with their friends and to hear what the people around them are doing. 36.A. the same B. troublesome C. difficult D. daily 37.A. familiar B. special C. similar D. different 38.A. a personal B. an ordinary C. a common D. a traditional 39.A. attractive B. public C. convenient D. quick
40.A. thoughts B. puzzles C. mysteries D. secrets 41.A. tell B. share C. publish D. solve 42.A. instead of B. as well as C. in favor of D. in spite of 43.A. blog B. diary C. report D. web 44.A. Although B. Since C. When D. Because 45.A. only B. already C. still D. never 46.A. angry B. hopeless C. glad D. worried 47.A. problem B. doubt C. trouble D. mistake 48.A. hard B. wrong C. mean D. funny 49.A. Besides B. However C. Therefore D. Then 50.A. should B. will C. must D. might 51.A. reasons B. disadvantages C. shortcomings D. advantages 52.A. everyone B. no one C. anyone D. someone 53.A. happily B. especially C. quickly D. specially 54.A. like B. miss C. need D. help 55.A. friendship B. touch C. debate D. mind

Mark was walking home from school one day when he noticed the boy ahead of him had tripped and dropped all of the books he was carrying, along with two sweaters, a baseball bat, a glove and a small tape recorder. Mark knelt down and helped the boy pick up the scattered(零散的)articles.
Since they were going the same way, he helped to carry part of the burden. As they walked Mark discovered the boy’s name was Bill, that he loved video games, baseball and history, and that he was having lots of trouble with his other subjects and that he had just broken up with his girlfriend.

However, there are places in t he rocks of the earth’s crust where it isn’t strongly held together—where faults exist. Along the faults, one rock might push against another with great force. The timing of school holidays has always had a lot to do with when a family goes on vacation. For many kids, summer holidays mean spending time outdoors and heading toward water- the local swimming pool, a lake, or the beach.
What people wear to go swimming or sunbathing has changed a great deal since the early 1990s. Do you know what early swimsuits(游泳衣)looked like and what they were made of? The earliest swimsuits covered most of the body and were called “bathing clothes”. They were often made of wool, which made them scratchy(扎人的)and very heavy when they got wet. Newer materials made it possible to make lighter swimsuits. Over time, swimsuits covered less and less of the body. In 1946, the bikini became popular among women.
Summer holidays don’t just mean going to the water. They can also mean going for a bike ride, or a picnic. It all depends how you want to spend your summer days.
If you live or spend your holiday near the water, then fishing, diving and boating are all good possibilities. In summertime, lots of people enjoy playing, picnicking, and just going out with friends on a long summer day until the sun goes down.
A famous song called Summertime from the opera Porgy and Bess describes life’s more relaxed pace in this season, “Summertime...and the living is easy. Fish are jumping...” Ask your parents and older relatives about their summertime memories.

My Opinion on Cheating in Examinations
It is known to us all that some students cheat in examinations at school.
As students, we often take examinations at school, but sometimes we have too many examinations, which are too difficult for us. On the other hand, some of us are laz y and don’t work hard at our lessons. So when taking examinations, we sometimes cheat in order to get better results to please our parents and teachers.
In my opinion, it is wrong to cheat in examinations because it breaks the rules of schools. We students should be honest and try to get good results by studying hard instead of cheating in examinations. Wha t’s more, we should improve our study methods and get well prepared for examinations。
