One of my favorite local dishes is xiaolongbao, which are steamed soup dumplings filled with pork or other meats. They are delicious and a must-try for anyone
visiting Shanghai.
Another popular dish in Shanghai is shengjianbao, which are pan-fried pork buns. They are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and are often served for breakfast or as a snack. For those who prefer something sweet, there is also tangyuan, which are glutinous rice balls filled with sweet sesame paste or other fillings.
In terms of international cuisine, Shanghai has a lot to offer as well. There are many Japanese restaurants that
serve sushi and ramen, as well as Korean barbecue restaurants and Italian pizzerias. One of my favorite international restaurants in Shanghai is Din Tai Fung, which is a Taiwanese chain known for their xiaolongbao.
Overall, Shanghai's food scene is diverse and exciting, with something for everyone to enjoy.
