【注意】
①.如果名词以重读闭音节结尾，且词尾只有一个辅音字母，这时应双写词尾的辅音字母再+y 如：sun--sunny; fun--funny
②.少数以不发音的e结尾的名词变为形容词时，应去掉e再加-y。

如：noise—noisy, ice—icy
等。

方法三：名词加-ly构成形容词。

①friend （朋友）→friendly （友好的）
②love （爱）→lovely （可爱的）
③month （月份）→monthly （每月的）
④live （生活，居住）→lively （充满生气的）
⑤day （天）→daily （每日的）
⑥year（年）→yearly（每年的）
方法四：在某些名词后加-ous构成形容词。

①danger （危险）→dangerous （危险的）
②fame （名声，名望）→famous （著名的）[特别提醒：别忘了去掉e]
③humor→humorous
方法五：名词加-en构成形容词。

①wool （羊毛）→woolen （羊毛的）
②wood （木头）→wooden （木制的）
③gold （金子）→golden （金子般的）
方法六：名词加-en构成形容词。

①gold（金色；金子）→golden（金色的）
②wood（木材；树林）→wooden（木制的）
③wool（羊毛）→woolen（羊毛制的）
【注意】此变换方式多用于表示由某种物质形成，制成或生产的名词前
方法七：
在有些国名后加上-ese;-ish; -n或an构成形容词，表示“……国的”。

如：China--Chinese；Japan—Japanese, England—English, America—American, India—Indian, Australia —Australian(注意Canada—Canadian); Asia--Asian; Europe--European
【注意】此种变化方式多用于表示国籍，语种，宗教的名词。

名词变形容这一知识点的考查方式是词汇运用。
