摘要：A stimulatory effect estimation device and sleep depth estimation device equipped with a stimulus generator (3) that applies a stimulus to a back seat passenger, an electroencephalogram (2) that measures the brain waves of the back seat passenger, memory (4), and an ECU (5) for specifying the brain wave indexes of stimulatory effects that manifest in response to the stimuli both when the passenger is awake and when the passenger is asleep from among the brain waves measured by the electroencephalogram (2) when stimulus is applied by the stimulus generator (3) while the passenger is awake and the brain waves measured by the electroencephalogram (2) when stimulus is applied by the stimulus generator (3) while the passenger is asleep. Therein, the ECU (5) utilizes a conversion model for converting stimulatory effects when the passenger is asleep and stimulatory effects when the passenger is awake, said model being created on the basis of the indexes from when the same stimulus is applied when the passenger is awake and when the passenger asleep, estimates stimulatory effects for when the passenger is asleep from the stimulatory effects of when the passenger is awake, and selects what stimulus to apply to the back seat passenger on the basis of the relationship between the stimulatory effects and the changes in sleep depth.
