【基础知识】
考点1：让步状语从句
让步状语从句的引导词有though / although，even though / if等。

注意：though / although与but不能同时出现在一个句子里。

如：Though he is in poor health, he works hard.虽然他身体不好，但是他工作很努力。

考点2：结果状语从句
结果状语从句的引导词有so / such … that … 等。

（1）区分两种句式：
① so+adj./ adv.+that …
②such+(a / an)+adj.+n.+that …
如：Tom is so clever that he learns Chinese well.
=Tom is such a clever boy that he learns Chinese well.
汤姆如此聪明，语文学得很好。

（2）注意：当名词前有much，many，little，few等词修饰时，只能用so。

如：You can’t spend so much time on computer games.你不能花这么多时间在网络游戏上。

考点3：目的状语从句
目的状语从句的引导词有so that，in order that等。

如：He stood up so that / in order that he could see the blackboard clearly.
他站起来，以便能清楚地看到黑板。

注意：目的状语从句中一般都含有表示可能性的词语，如coule, will, would, can等。

考点一：让步状语从句
例1．（2021·内蒙古·扎兰屯市教育教学研究培训中心八年级期末）Tom knows a lot ________ he is only five years old.

句意：汤姆虽然只有五岁，但是他知道很多。

考查连词辨析。

but“但是”，表示转折关系；because“因为”，引导原因状语从句；though“虽然”，表示让步；while“当……时候”，引导时间状语从句。

“Tom knows a lot”
与“he is only five years old”是让步关系，故选C。

例2．（2021·山东·兰陵县教学研究室八年级期中）Although she is wrong, ________ it’s not a big deal. A．but B．/ C．so

句意：虽然她错了，但也没什么大不了的。

考查连词的用法。

but但是；so因此。

根据“Although she is wrong, ...it’s not a big deal.”可知，前后句表示转折关系，前半句已有Although，后半句不加but。

故选B。

考点二：结果状语从句
例3．（2021·辽宁·凌源市教师进修学校八年级期末）It was ________ lovely weather ________ we decided to spend the day on the beach.
A．such; that B．such a; that C．such; as D．so; that

句意：天气很好，我们决定在海滩上度过一天。

考查结果状语从句。

so修饰形容词；such修饰名词。

前半句中心词weather是不可数名词，用such修饰，此句用such…that引导结果状语从句，故选A。

例4．（2020·吉林·长春市宽城区教师进修学校八年级单元测试）The mountain are________ big ________ it takes a long time to walk to the other side.
A．so; that B．so; much C．very; that D．too; that

句意：山太大了，以至于走到另一边花了很长时间。

考查连词。

分析句子可知，此句缺少连词引导结果状语从句；分析选项可知，只有选项A可引导结果状语从句，意为“如此……以至于……”。

考点三：目的状语从句例5．（2021·广西·陆川县教研室八年级期中）She lent me an umbrella ________ I wouldn’t get wet in the rain.
A．so that B．for C．in order to D．such that

句意：她借给我一把伞，这样我就不会被雨淋湿了。

考查短语辨析。

so that以便；for为了；in order to为了；such that到这样的程度。

根据“I wouldn’t get wet in the rain”可知借给我伞的目的是不让我淋湿，用so that引导目的状语从句。

故选A。
