该单元的课文情景是Lingling的行李箱坏了，Ms Smart要为她买一个新的，于是两个人一起去了百货商店。
Lingling看到一款黑色的提包，觉得它又大又好看，但Ms Smart 认为这个包对Lingling来说太重了；Ms Smart向Lingling推荐了一款绿色的提包，它不但很轻，而且有两个口袋，可以装雨伞，但Lingling觉得它太小；最后，Ms Smart看到一款蓝色的箱子，它又大又轻，还有四个轮子，用起来很方便。
Ms Smart最终给Lingling 买了这个蓝色的箱子，Lingling向Ms Smart表示感谢。

学生学情分析
本课的教学对象是五年级的学生，经过两年的英语学习，大部分学生有一定的英语基础，且这个年龄阶段的学生好奇心和求知欲都比较强。但是由于我们缺乏学习英语和运用英语的语言环境，孩子们在课堂上容易有“不知所云”的感觉，丧失了学习的主动性。同时，由于这一阶段的孩子的年龄特点，他们喜欢在玩中学习，喜欢进行活动、游戏。
