Module 6 Unit 1 Does it eat meat? 教学设计

【设计思想】

本节课以听说训练为主线,通过看、听、说、读、写等一系列教学活动,引导学生掌握语言知识点,利用一般现在时(主语为第三人称单数)的一般疑问句的句型询问或回答有关动物的问题,并为他们运用目标语言创设了真实而多样的情境,让学生在快乐的活动中学习,促进彼此的情感交流,激发学生的学习兴趣。【教学内容分析】

本课内容为外研版七年级英语上册Module 6 Unit1,主要通过对动物的介绍展开听说读写活动,结合学生生活实际,让学生谈论自己最喜爱的动物以及它的居住地、生活习性等话题,融听、说、读、写训练于其中,引导学生掌握第三人称单数的一般现在时的一般疑问句的用法,培养学生综合运用语言的能力。

【教学目标分析】

1、To learn and master key words: bear, elephant, giraffe, lion, monkey, panda, tiger, zebra, zoo, guide, animal, such as

2、To enable students to understand and use the key sentences:

1)—Do lions eat meat? —Yes, they do

2)—Does it eat meat? —No, it doesn’t. It eats plants.

3)—Does the panda eat bamboo? —Yes, it does. It eats bamboo.

4)—Does the tiger come from Europe? —No, it doesn’t. It comes from Asi a.

3、To recognize the third person singular endings –s.

4. To enable students to talk about animals.

【教学过程设计】

Step 1 Lead-in

1) Show some pictures to ask and answer: What can you see?

2) Let students watch a video about animals ,and talk with students.

设计意图:通过展示动物图片进行师生间的简单对话互动,引出本课教学内容,利用多媒体课件视频,创设真实参观动物园的情境,增加学生的学习兴趣,让他们在轻松愉快的气氛中自然进入本课的学习。

Step 2 Presentation

1) Make students to talk about the animals they just watch.

2) Show some pictures of animals and describe them, in order to promote students to learn the new words and remember them.

3) Play a small game, choose the right picture they hear, first set an example, and then ask students to play with their partner.

设计意图:通过展示图片,降低学生学习新单词的难度,并使学生在欣赏图画的同时,产生学好这些单词的强烈欲望,激发学习兴趣;通过玩图片小游戏,适当调节学生的注意力,活跃课堂气氛,让学生在玩的过程中更好地掌握新单词,为后面的教学做好准备。

Step3 Listen and read

1) Play the recording through once while students just listen.

2) Listen again, and ask students to find out the main idea, then hands up to tell the whole class.

3) Make sure the students understand the listening materials, and check(√) the words which on the book. Then ask them to check their answers with a partner, at last, elicit from the whole class.

4) Let the students read the passage and complete the table in Activity 3. Call back the answer from the whole class and check the answer.

5) Let the students read after the tape, then explain the conversation.

Step 4 Listen and repeat

1) Play the recording once without stopping, and ask the whole class to repeat.

2) Ask the students to act out in a group and give the evaluation.

3) Practice the sounds in pairs.

设计意图:Step 3和Step 4通过听、说、读等一系列课堂活动,让学生学习细节听力技巧,并结合听力材料分组进行说的练习,听之前先给出一个简单的问题,让学生带着问题去听: What’s the name of the panda? 听第二遍时,再让学生做练习,这样带着目的去看和听,进一步提高学生听的能力,并在过程中强调学生注意语音语调,培养学生的基本语言技能。

Step 5 Practice

1) Ask the students to read through the passage,and underline the correct words.

2) Tell the students should pay attention to the third person singular endings –s.

3) Have a free talk: Work in pairs and make up a similar dialogue about your favorite animal.

A: What’s your favorite animal?

B: It is panda.

A: Does it eat plants?

B: Yes, it does. It eats bamboo.

A: Does the panda eat meat ?

B: No, it doesn't. It eats bamboo.

A: Does it come from China?

B: Yes, it does.

4) Group work: Let the students act out the dialogue, The visit to the zoo, and be sure to use the key sentences, they should be change their ideas with others to finish the group work.

设计意图:本活动根据所学内容,让学生把所学知识运用到实际生活中,通过同伴、小组合作进行对话交流,培养学生运用英语的能力,也营造了积极、轻松的学习氛围,培养了学生自主、合作学习的能力以及与他人分享的情操。
