2、proper /ˈprɒpə/ adj.

1) real, satisfactory, suitable, or correct 适合的；适当的；恰当的；正确的

例句：She likes everything to be in its proper place.

例句：In those days it was considered not quite proper for young ladies to be seen talking to men in public.

1) more than average, but less than very 相当地；一定地
