1.能初步会听、说、读单词:a doll, a ball,a robot
2.能初步听懂、会读、会运用句型:What’s this/that?并会用It’s a...来回答。
3.能初步听懂、会读、会说、会运用句型This is for you./It’s for you. 来相互赠与礼物
4.学会新年节日祝福:Happy New Year!并会表达谢意:Thank you.
5.明白中西方新年文化差异。

1.句型:What's this/that? It's ... This is for you.
2.词汇: Happy, new, year, for, doll, ball, robot
三、教学难点
1.日常用于: What's this/that?的语序。
2.词汇: Happy, new, year, doll, ball, robot等词的读音。

Step 2 Presentation
1T: Well done, boys and girls.
So what can we do in New Year?
(You can tell us in Chinese if you want.)
S: 唱歌跳舞/ 拜年/ 吃大餐。
T: Good. We can do many interesting things in New Year. First, people always greet to each others like this (师动作示范)Happy New Year!
教读Happy New Year !师生操练,生生操练。
2T:We also eat many nice food. Look, here are so many nice food here

5 通过听音,猜形状,相继引出新单词a robot , a doll的学习。
Step 3 Learn the story.
1T: Look, it is New Year. Someone is visiting Mike’s family. Who is he? Do you know? (学生观看卡通。
)
S: Uncle John.
(教授Uncle John并把头像贴在黑板上。
)
2T: Uncle comes to visit Mike’s family today.
What presents does he give? Let’s watch the cartoon.
(教授单词ball, robot, doll并把图片贴在黑板上。
)
3T: Who are they for? Please read the story by yourselves.
学生带着问题读课文。
T: Who can match the presents with the children?
请学生上黑板连一连
T: Now, let’s try to act. If you are Uncle John, please try to say ‘This is for you.’ (板书并带全班读句子This is for you.)
T: Who wants to be Mike/ Helen?

T: Who wants to be Uncle John?
You can say
T: Here’s the doll. Who can try?

4T: Now, let’s learn the story. Please listen and repeat.
(学生逐句听录音跟读课文。
)
(1)读到第三幅图How nice.的时候。
T: When you get a present. Remember to open the box immediately and say ‘Wow thank you’, ‘How nice.’ and something else. OK?
S: OK.
T: But what else can we say S: .. (教师及时板书相关语句。
)
T: Well. These are what we can say when we get presents.
(2)读到第五幅图时
T: Look, Helen is far away from the box. So what does she say?
S: What’s that?
此时板书并带读这个句子
T: What’s that?
S: It’s a balloon.

教师出示3,5两幅图
T: Now, look at the pictures. I’m Helen. Who wants to be Mike?
(教师和学生示范表演3,5两幅图。
)
T: Can you act them out in pairs?
S: Yes.
(学生小组表演这两幅图。
)
T: Who can try?
(请一组学生上来展示,教师用Can he stand here and say ‘What’s that?’来给学生纠错。
)
(4)读到第六幅图时教授It’s a robot. It’s for Tim.
Step 4 Consolidation
1T: Now please try to read the story fluently. You can read in roles. Or act out the story without the help of your English book.
(学生小组读课文。
)
T: Who wants to come here and act out the story?

T: Well, let’s act out the story together in the cartoon.
2 Let’s retell the story.中间穿插中西方文化差异的比较。
Step 4 Task
1T: Now, let’s imagine, when Tim comes back, what will Tim and Uncle John say?生自由操练,上前表演。
2Enjoy . 欣赏各国人民怎样欢度新年的图片。
从而总结出To give is happier than to take forever.
3试着给家人准备一份新年礼物,并角色扮演,表演对话。
Homework:
1 Listen and read this story after class, pay attention to imitate the intonation.
2 Act out in groups.
3. Learn the song<Happy New Year>.。
