Possible version 1
Last Monday afternoon, we had an activity of Sino-America cultural exchange in our classroom.
At 1:30, when the American friends came to our class, all of us stood up and clapped our hands to welcome them. Shortly afterwards, I introduced our important festival—the Spring Festival to them while an American friend shared the knowledge of Christmas. After that, we showed them how to make paper cuts and taught them some Chinese charact ers, such as “节日”(festival). In the end, we exchanged gifts and had a group photo taken to mark the memorable occasion.
Through this activity, we not only learned some culture from each other but also promoted our understanding and friendship. I hope we can have more of these in the future.

附:听力材料
M: What kind of juice do you want? Tomato or V8.
W: Well, you know how I feel abo ut Tomato. It’s really not my thing.
M: I’ve heard Ben is forming his own band.
W: Yeah, a rock and roll band. H e’s a very good guitarist. Fancy joining it too? M: You bet! I can play drums and the violin, remember?
W: Hello, Bob. Have you got your work done for today?
M: No. But maybe our dear John won't ask for it.
W: No such luck. Last time he forgot to collect our homework because he came down with the flu. He's in better shape now. And he hates lazy students.
Text 4
W: Hello, Jim, is everything going well?
M: Not so good. I feel helpless.
W: What is the matter?
M: You know I’m a green hand as a dentist. Few patients dare to be cured by me. Text 5
W: Excuse me. Do you need any help?
M: Nah, I…I'm just looking…Uh, well, actually…yeah. Um…I want to go to the science museum, but I can't make heads or tails of these machines.
W: Ah, well, just press this button. And from here, it's a dollar fifty. Then, get on the train at platform number 4.
Text 6
M: Would you like to have a piece of cake?
W: No, thank you. I'm on a diet.
M: Why? You're not fat.
W: I'm considering entering a beauty contest this summer, so I must have a slimmer figure.
M: Women of all shapes would be beautiful if they are self-confident.
W: I'm afraid the judges do not think so. All the beauty contests are for slim girls only.
M: Well. There's a beauty contest in Thailand in July just for fat beauties.
W: How much do they weigh?
M: All the beauties who enter the contest are supposed to be over 80kg.
W: But I'm not fat enough to enter that contest.
Text 7
W: Well, what do you think about the last candidate? Do you think we should hire her?
M: She had a very impressive resume, but she seemed to lack the confidence that a go od manager needs.
W: What made you think that she wasn't very confident?
M: Did you notice the way she avoided making eye contact with us while she talked? W: She was a bit nervous, I guess. What else?
M: When she first walked into the room to greet us, she didn't shake our hands or introduce herself to us at all. I thought that was a bit unprofessiona l.
W: You're right.
M: Did you also notice her horrible posture in the chair during most of the interview?
On top of all of that, she didn't seem to have any sense about people's personal space. She didn't keep enough distance between us during the meeting.
W: That's true. I guess we'll have to keep looking for a manager then.
