allow动词，意为“允许”，常用短语: 意为“允许某人做某事”；意思是“允许做某事”。

【辨析】spend，take, cost与pay
spend 主语必须是人，常用结构：spend time/money on sth. 某人花
费时间（金钱）在某物; spend time/money (in) doing sth. 某人花费时间（金钱）做某事
take 后面常跟双宾语，结构：It takes sb. ＋时间＋to do sth. 做某事花了某人多少时间
cost 主语是物，常用结构：sth. costs +金钱，某物价值多少元；sth. costs (sb.) ＋金钱,某物花了（某人）多少钱。

pay 意为“付款”，结构：sb. pay money for sth. 某人买某物支付多少钱,
