In terms of government effectiveness, however, the CASS report shows a slight decline in the past few years. China has ranked just 25th in the world in terms of government effectiveness, lagging behind its international peers such as Singapore and the United States. The report finds that the overall effectiveness of government policies and regulations is still not fully implemented, and the lack of transparency in government decision-making has led to a lack of trust among citizens.
In terms of social development, Chinese citizens have seen an improvement in their living standards in recent years. The CASS report finds that China ranks in the top 20 in the world in terms of social development, which is higher than the world average. The report finds that the average life expectancy of Chinese citizens is now 76.4 years, 1 year higher than the world average, and the poverty rate has been reduced to 6.5%, which is lower than the world average of 9.5%.
The CASS report finds that the business environment in China has improved significantly in recent years, ranking 15th in the world.
