一、教学目标
1、学习词汇、词组、句型。
2、学习并掌握向他人提建议的句型。
3、能够熟练运用向他人提建议的句型。
二、教学重点
1、根据上下文及关键词了解录音的主要内容。
2、能够熟练运用向他人提建议的句型。
三、教学难点
学会如何听取细节,提炼信息。
四、教学过程
(一)Lead-in
1. Ask students to watch some pictures about matches and talk about these pictures.
①Do you like sports? Do you often watch basketball matches? Are you in the school basketball team?
②When and where do you usual do sports? Who do you do sports with? How often do you do sports?
2. Ask students to learn some new words and expressions about the basketball match: final, need your support, cheer for, Sports Centre.
(二)Presentation
Ask students to read the poster and answer some questions. (This is a basketball final. We are going to watch it, but I’m not sure of the time, the place and the cost of the trip. Would you please help me find the information?)
①What is the poster about?
②What about their basketball team?
③Where will it take place?
④When will it happen?
⑤What does it want the other students in Sunshine Secondary to do?
⑥What about the cost?
(三)Practice
1. Ask students to finish some parts of the table of A1 on P37.
2. Ask students to say how to do the listening better. Give them some suggestions on listening skills.
3. Ask students to listen to the tape twice and complete the A2 on P 37.
4. Check answers together and if necessary listen to the tape again.
5. Play the tape again, complete Part A3 on P38, and correct some information.
6. Ask students to read the listening materials as soon as possible and find out the Important information.
(四)Presentation
1. Ask some questions:
Do you often go to watch the matches with your friends?
Do you know how to invite your friends?
Daniel and Kitty are planning a day out for Linda. Please listen to the tape and tell me where they’ll go.
2. Play the tape and then answer the questions.
(五)Practice
1. Play the tape again and ask students to read after it.
2. Ask students to conclude the ways of giving advice. If necessary, the teacher adds some ways and writes them on the blackboard.
3. Work in pairs and ask students make a similar dialogue as the model.
(六)Conclusion and check out
Ask students to conclude the lesson and then finish the exercises.
