and和or是用得最多的并列连词，可以连接：
1. 两个名词、形容词，以及两个并列的动词等。

如：

2. 两个并列的短语。

如：
The man entered his house and took off his coat.
3. 两个并列的分句。

如：
I said it and I meant it.
注意：
or连接分句还可表示“否则”。

如：

but表示意思的转折。
