Warming up, pre-reading and reading
一.学习目标
1.“热身”通过一段马克吐温德简介,要求学生谈谈所知道的马克吐温德作品,从而对马克吐温及其作品有个初步的了解。
2.“读前”中的两个问题将激发学生阅读下文《百万英镑》的兴趣,从而让学生欣赏这部戏剧。
二.阅读重难点
重点:了解戏剧(剧本)语言的特点,如舞台说明(stage directions)用一般现在时态,台词中有很多
省略句等。
难点:了解《百万英镑》及其作者马克·吐温的时代背景,提高学生的文学修养和培养学生的跨文化意识;
帮助学生树立正确的金钱观
三.背景知识
1.马克·吐温(1835—1910)现实主义文学的奠基人,马克·吐温是笔名,他原名是塞缪尔·朗荷恩·克列门斯,生于密苏里州的佛罗里达。
代表作品有《竞选州长》《高尔斯的朋友再度出洋》《镀金时代》《汤姆·索亚历险记》《哈克贝利·费恩历险记》《王子与贫儿》等。
2.有关戏剧的知识
戏剧是一种综合的舞台艺术。
戏剧的基本要素包括情感,欲望,争斗,妥协等。
戏剧离不开戏剧冲突,它表现在人物性格的冲突上,具体表现为一系列的动作。
戏剧语言包括人物语言(台词actor’s/actress”line)和舞台说明(stage directions)。
舞台说明是写在剧本每一幕的开端,结尾和对话中间的说明性文字,内容包括人物表、时间、地点、服装、道具、布景以及人物的表情、动作、上下场等,它具有增强舞台气氛、烘托人物心情,展示人物性格、推动情节展开等多种作用。
