If you are the kind of tourist who likes to visit places with outstanding landscapes and multicultural cities, then Asia is the place to go.Take a cruise(乘船游览) to Asia and you will not be disappointed.
The Finest Asian Cruise Explorations
Tourists who want to visit several Asian countries understand that cruising there is the best alternative. You can decide to take a two-week cruise, starting from Sri Lanka to Thailand. There’s also a three-week cruise that starts off in China all the way to Japan.A most popular voyage is one that starts from China to Singapore.
The Best Time to Travel
When touring Asia,it’s best to understand that different cruise lines have different travelling timelines. You can be caught in the rain during your tour(October to December in Malaysia and December to February in Indonesia). Most cruises take place from December to the end of March.
Booking Cruise-ship Tours
Given that you’ll probably be taking long flights to get to South Asia and the Far East, the budget will be large, especially if you are visiting as a family. In addition, many people tour this region,so it would be best if you book early when the prices are more appealing.
Activities
There are so many ports in Asia and this might bring a challenge if you want to get somewhere in time.Make sure you plan your day-trips in advance and follow the cruise line tours to avoid missing the boats.Apart from visiting the cities, you could also go to Borneo,Indonesia to see the orang-utans(猩猩).You can also hop across several islands from Bali, appreciate the colorful floats as well as the cherry blossoms in Japan and visit the floating fish farms in Vietnam.

I left home to support my sister in her efforts to present a music festival. She lives on the other side of the world, and I went to visit her,not wanting to leave and feeling like I was leaving home against my will. However,I wanted to show her my support because she is my only sister.
So I boarded the plane in mid-August,and hated the long flight.I arrived, tired and hungry.I had left my husband of 2 years, alone,in our old New Orleans house.
I was all set and ready to perform for my sister for the music festival on Sunday morning when I received a call from Chicago. The hurricane was predicted to hit our city, and many people had already evacuated, but my husband chose to stay behind. He could not get a call to me on the other side of the world, but he could call his cousin in Chicago. He gave his cousin a message for me that he would be just fine, and he told me not to worry.
As the day wore on,I finally took the stage in front of hundreds of Europeans, and I realized, thanks to CNN,that New Orleans was under water.
I performed, hoping that my husband would survive. And I performed perfectly. The audience stood and applauded.I left the stage and went straight to the TV.I saw the street sign near my home,of Humanity Street, but nothing below it,except water.
In the days that followed,I found out that my house,my car,my clothes,my furniture, everything that I’d left behind was gone...but not my husband. He survived
by riding on the rear bumper(后保险杠) of a VW bus, holding on to the overhead luggage rack,in the pouring rain, down the highway from New Orleans,half-way to Baton Rouge. The rest of the journey was a long walk, but he survived.
By the first week of September,I flew back to the Baton Rouge airport, and hugged my husband.Since then, our relationship has grown deeper;we have completely rebuilt our house, bought a new car, bought new furniture and new clothes and joined an inspirational,spirit-filled community.

Some people think if you are happy, you are blind to reality. But when we research it,happiness actually raises every single business and educational outcome for the brain. How did we miss this? Why do we have these social misunderstandings about happiness?Because we assumed you were average. When we study people, scientists are often interested in what the average is.
Many people think happiness is genetic. That’s only half the story, because the average person does not fight their genes. When we stop studying the average and begin
researching positive outliers—people who are above average for a positive aspect like optimism or intelligence—a wildly different picture appears. Our daily decisions and habits have a huge impact upon both our levels of happiness and success.
Scientifically, happiness is a choice. It is a choice about where your single processor brain will devote its limited resources as you process the world. If you scan for the negative first, your brain really has no resources left over to see the things you are grateful for or the meaning embedded(嵌入) in your work. But if you scan the world for the positive, you start to acquire an amazing advantage.
I wrote the cover story for the Harvard Business Review magazine on “Happiness Leads to Profits”.Based on my article called “Positive Intelligence” and my research in The Happiness Advantage,I summarized our researched conclusion:the single greatest advantage in the modern economy is a happy and busy workforce.
A decade of research in the business world proves that happiness raises nearly every business and educational outcome:increasing sales by 37%,productivity by 31%,and accuracy on tasks by 19%,as well as a number of health and quality-of-life improvements.

Taking photographs at a birthday or a wedding has become as natural as blowing out candles or cutting the cake. But our obsession with recording every detail of our happiest moments could be damaging our ability to remember them, according to a new research.A study has shown that taking pictures rather than concentrating fully on the events in front of us prevents memories taking hold.
Dr.Linda Henkel, from Fairfield University,Connecticut, described it as the “photo-taking impairment effect”.She said,“People often pull out their cameras almost mindlessly to capture a moment,to the point where they are missing what is happening right in front of them. When people rely on technology to remember for them—counting on the camera to record the event and thus not needing to attend to it fully themselves—it can have a negative impact on how well they remember their experiences.”
Dr.Henkel and her team carried out an experiment in a museum to learn if taking pictures of the exhibits was hindering the ability of visitors to remember what they had seen.
A group of university students were led on a tour at the Bellarmine Museum of Art at Fairfield University and were asked to either photograph or try and remember objects on display. The next day their memory was tested. The results showed that people were less accurate in recognizing the objects they had photographed than those they had only looked at.It was found that their memory for the details of the objects they had photographed was poorer.
Henkel’s lab is currently investigating whether the content of a photo, such as whether you are in it,affects memory. She is also researching whether actively choosing what to photograph might influence what we remember.
Previous research suggests that reviewing photos we have taken does help us remember objects, but only if we take the time.
“Research has suggested that the sheer volume and lack of organization of digital photos for personal memories discourages many people from accessing and recalling them.In order to remember,we have to access and interact with the photos, rather than just collect them,” said Dr.Henkel.

No matter what problem we’re facing,we always find solutions.36If you need a boost of happiness to help you through the day,be sure to remember these things:
1.Accept it.
Although it may seem challenging to accept a negative situation,it’s your best bet in moving toward a resolution.37What you can do is only focus on how to improve the circumstances now.
2.Don’t waste time considering it.
Working on a problem a long time can only make it bigger than it already is.Not only will you feel worse in the long run,but also you’ll lose valuable time when you could be working toward a solution.38
3.Don’t compare yourself to others.
When you’re struggling through a tough situation, comparing yourself is the last thing you should be doing.39Therefore,instead of comparing, you should look at the happiness within yourself.
4.Make a plan of action.
40If you don’t like the way something is,do what you can in your power to change it.In financial situations, you can work on a budget and prioritize your costs. In a fight with a loved one,you can take some time to cool down and improve things by talking it out.
A.You can’t change what already happened.
B.Keep an optimistic mind towards what you can’t get.
C.Don’t let a bad situation get the best of you—take steps to let it go.
D.You have no idea what struggles another person could be going through.
