China. S.H.E. appeared on the Mando-pop scene in 2001.
The three girls - Selina, Hebe and Ella - are an average of 20-
year-old. They called their band after the first letter of each
of their English names. "It sounds like we are one of your
friends, and that's our hope," said Hebe.

Close your eyes. Make a wish. What is it? You may want to have a cool schoolbag or do well in school work. Some teenagers in Beijing have a different wish. They want a peaceful world. In it, everyone can live happily.
There is an environment group, Roots and Shoots in Beijing. And, it had something for the teenagers to do on Sundays. It asked the teenagers to make a wish for World Peace Day. So, the young people got together to sing peace songs. They also "flew" some peace doves outside. That white bird means peace and love around the world.
The large doves were not real doves. They were made out of pieces of cloth. Students took them outside. Many countries do things like this for World Peace Day every year.
