英语国旗下大学生演讲稿作文5篇1. The Significance of the National Flag to College Students Dear fellow students,As we gather here today, under the banner of the national flag, to commemorate our country’s independence and celebrate its achievements, we must ask ourselves: what does this symbol mean to us?For many of us, the answer may be simple – we were born into a nation that we love, and we display the flag to show our allegiance and pride. Yet, even as we wave our flags and sing our national anthem, we must remember that the flag is more than just a patriotic symbol. It is a sign of unity and common purpose, a rallying point for our country’s citizens in times of triumph and challenge. As college students, we must embrace this sense of unity and common purpose. We are the next generation of leaders, innovators, and problem solvers, and our actions will shape the future of our nation. We must strive to build bridges across our differences, to work together to solve problems, and to embrace our collective responsibility to make our country a better place. Let us remember the significance of the flag, and all that it represents. Let us honor it with our actions, and use it as a guidepost as we navigate the challenges and opportunities of the years ahead.Thank you.2. Celebrating the Colors of Our Flag: Red, White, and BlueDear fellow students,As we gather here today to celebrate our nation’s birthday, we are reminded of the colors that make up our flag – red, white, and blue. Each of these colors has its own unique meaning, and together they represent the ideals that have made our country great.Red, the color of courage and sacrifice. Our nation’s history is filled with stories of brave men and women who have risked everything to defend our freedoms and protect our way of life.White, the color of purity and innocence. Our country was founded on the principles of liberty and justice for all, and we must remain vigilant in our pursuit of these values, ensuring that they are not stained or corrupted by greed or prejudice.Blue, the color of loyalty and steadfastness. Our nation is a beacon of hope and progress in a world that is often divided and uncertain, and we must remain true to our principles and stand up for what we believe in.As college students, we have the power to carry these ideals forward and make them a reality. By working together, across our differences and backgrounds, we can build a stronger and more just society, one that reflects the true meaning of the red, white, and blue.So let us celebrate these colors today, and let us always remember the values they represent. May they guide us in the days and years ahead, as we work to make our country a better place for all.Thank you.3. Honoring Our Flag, Honoring Our DiversityDear fellow students,As we gather here today to honor our national flag, we must also celebrate the diversity of our nation’s people. Our country is a tapestry of different cultures, traditions, and perspectives, and it is this diversity that makes us strong and vibrant.Yet, even as we celebrate our differences and honor our unique identities, we must also embrace our commonality as Americans. We are bound together by our shared history, our shared values, and our shared interest in building a better future for all.As college students, we have a responsibility to lead the way in creating a more inclusive and just society. We must work to break down the barriers of discrimination and inequality, and to build bridges across our differences. So let us honor our flag today, and let us remember that it represents not only our nation’s history and ideals, but also our diversity and our shared humanity. Let us work together to build a better tomorrow for all Americans.Thank you.4. The American Flag and Our Shared FutureDear fellow students,As we gather here today to celebrate our nation’s birthday, we must reflect on the significance of the American flag. For many of us, the flag is a symbol of patriotism and national pride, a reminder of the sacrifices made by our fellow citizens in defense of our freedoms and our way of life.Yet, even as we wave our flags and sing our national anthem, we must also remember that the flag is a symbol of our shared future. As college students, we are the inheritors of a great legacy, but also the architects of a new and better tomorrow. We have the power to shape the direction of our country, to establish new values, and to create a more just, equitable, and sustainable society. So let us embrace our responsibility as citizens and as individuals. Let us work together, across our differences in race, gender, religion, and political persuasion, to build a stronger and more vibrant society, one that reflects the highest ideals of our nation.Thank you.5. The American Flag and Our Shared IdentityDear fellow students,As we gather here today to honor the American flag, we must also reflect on what it means to be American. For some of us, this identity is a matter of birthplace or ancestry, a tie to a particular region or culture. For others, it is a choice, a commitment to the values of liberty, democracy, and opportunity that define our nation.Yet, even as we embrace our individual identities and experiences, we must also recognize the importance of our shared identity as Americans. We are bound together by our history, our traditions, and our values, and it is this sense of community and commonality that gives us strength and resilience in the face of adversity. As college students, we have a responsibility to uphold this shared identity and to work to strengthen it for future generations. We must embrace our diversity and celebrate our differences, but also recognize the common values and aspirations that unite us as a people. So let us honor the American flag today, not simply as a symbol of our nation’s history and values, but also as a reminder of our shared identity and our common purpose. Let us work together, with humility and respect, to build a brighter future for all Americans.Thank you.。

it’s my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech—change the world, change ourselves。

it’s noticable that western holidays are becoming increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected。

not long before about 10 doctors in beijing university and qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and culture。

frankly speaking,i don’t quite agree with them。

indeed,we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as china boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions。

Not the supermarket, not the dustbin, not the place that is dealing with rubbish of course, but it is a place on our campus.Yes, it is the flea market.I have already sold my books and bags that I no longer need there, and have bought a lovely bottle there at a good price.I will show you four benefits by doing this according to my experience, but before that,I have to tell you that you should keep an open mind when going there. You may not come away with the things that were on your list, but thats the beauty of the hunt: you never know what youll find.If you didnt find a particular item this week, dont despair ,since youll have chance to find it next time. Now I will show you the four reasons that may help you to find a new way to deal with your waste things next time.Firstly, save money.By selling the things you no longer needs, you can cover some of the original cost which can be of great importance to those students who have not got their own income. And with the similar function and a much lower price, thefinancial difficulty that troubled many poor students can be solved much more easily. What’s more, experts estimated that if all textbooks in universities can be used once again, we can save about 100 million Yuan which can help you to travel to moon for one time.Secondly, develop a good habit.Selling the waste things in a flea market can help the sellers to cultivate a good habit of making full use of their belongings. Thus you will think twice before buying a new product next time.Thirdly, foster an intelligence to engage in business. You can learn to communicate with others and promote sale of your products to others at a proper price by doing this.Your practical ability can also improve a lot.Don’t forget the last one, environmental-friendly.According to the latest report, if a small-size city reuses the textbooks for one time, they can save 1.5 million in only a semester’s time.Anyway, a flea market is an interesting place to visit if you want to buy something or if you want to buy nothing.Dont be surprised if you find the very thing you have been looking for or come back home with your hands empty.Hope the fact I have presented to you will help you to make a wise choice next time when dealing with your waste things.大学生英语演讲2Never, Never Give UpWe often hear people say, “Never give up.” These can be encouraging words and words of determination. A person who believes in them will keep trying to reach his goal no matter how many times he fails. In my opinion, the quality of determination to succeed is an important one to have. Therefore, I believe that we should never give up.One reason is that if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieve anything. It is not unusual for us to fail in our first attempt at something new, so we should not feel discouraged and should try again. Besides, if we always give up when we fail, we will not be able to develop new skills and grow as people.Another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort. If we do not try again, the lesson we have learned is wasted. Finally, we should never give up because as we work to reach our goals, we develop confidence, and this confidence can help us succeed in other areas of our lives. If we never challenge ourselves, we will begin to doubt our abilities. In short, it is important that we do not give up when working for our goals. Whether we succeed in the end or not, we will learn something, and what we learn will help us to become better, more confident people. Furthermore, if we give up, we have non chance of attaining our goals, but if we keep trying, there is always a chance that we will succeed one day.Thank you !大学生英语演讲3Good afternoon everybody! Its my honor to speak here and I am very glad to share my topic with all of you. Today Id like to talk about “my dream”. I do not just have one dream, in fact, I have three. They are: a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country.I have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. They are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! How do they do that!? My grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves! I guess that is why they canremain healthy. More importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this:” I do not want to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be running around in my house”. I want to live a long, healthy and happy life just as they have.Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my birthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore. I am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much! I am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. They do! They love me with all their heart. I love my parents also; I want them to live a happy life as well.I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beauty of our country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great! I want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! I have a dream, that one day I can travel and see my country with my family and friends! If that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also. If I can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then God can take me away. I would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.Thank you everyone for listening to my dreams.I thank you!大学生英语演讲4first, i would like to say: to choose means to claim opportunities.i am a third-year english major. an important choice for me, of course, is what to do upon graduation. i can go to graduate school, at home or abroad. i can go to work as a teacher, atranslator, a journalist, an editor and a diplomat. actually, the system of mutual selection has allowed me to approach almost every career opportunity in china.indeed, this is not going to be an easy choice. i would love to work in such big cities as beijing or shanghai or shenzhen. i would also love to return to my hometown, which is intimate, though slightly lagging in development. i would love to stay in the coastal area where life is exciting and fast-paced. i would also love to put down roots in central and western china, which is underdeveloped, but holds reat potential.all of these sound good. but they are only possibilities. to those of us who are bewildered at the abundance of opportunities, i would like to say: to choose means to accept challenge.to us young people, challenge often emerges in the form of competition. in the next century, competition will not only come from other college graduates, but also from people of all ages and of all origins.with increasing international exchanges, we have to face growing competition from the whole outside world. this is calling for a higher level of our personal development.fifteen years ago, the knowledge of a foreign language or of computer operation was considered merely an advantage. but today, with wider educational opportunities, this same knowledge has become essential to everyone.given this situation, even our smallest choices will require great wisdom and personal determination.as we gain more initiative in choice making, the consequence of each choice also becomes more important.as we gain more initiative in choice making, the consequenceof each choice also becomes more important.nuclear power, for instance, may improve our quality of life. but it can also be used to damage the lives and possessions of millions.economic development has enriched our lives but brought with it serious harm to our air, water and health.to those of us who are blind to the consequences of their choices, i would like to say, to choose means to take responsibility. when we are making choices for ourselves, we cannot casually say: "its just my own business. " as policy makers of the next century, we cannot fail to see our responsibility to those who share the earth with us.the traditional chinese culture teaches us to study hard and work hard so as to honor our family. to me, however, this family is not just the five of us who quarreled over television programmes. rather, it is the whole of the human family. as i am making my choices, i will not forget the smile of my teacher when i correctly spelled out the word "china" for the first time, i will not forget the happy faces of the boys and girls we helped to send back to school in the mountains of jiangxi province. i will not forget the tearful eyes of women and children in bosnia, chechnya and somali, where millions are suffering from war, famine or poverty.all these people, known and unknown, make up our big human family. at different points, they came into my life and broaden my perspective. now as i am to make choices for myself, it is time to make efforts to improve their lives, because a world will benefit us all only if every one in it can lead a peacefandprosperous life.大学生英语演讲5I believe in our futureHonorable Judges, fellow students:Good afternoon!Recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. The college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education atextraordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country? The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The college students I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money. The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer. As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. I believe in all my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. We are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we havereceived to make our world a better place.I believein our future.。

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is my great honor to stand before you today and share my thoughts on a topic that is both crucial and timely: the power of youth. As college students, we find ourselves at a unique juncture in our lives, where we are not yet fully adults, yet we possess the potential to make significant impacts on society. Today, I will discuss the importance of embracing change and taking responsibility, as we navigate through the complexities of the modern world.Firstly, let us acknowledge the power of youth. As young individuals, we are often perceived as energetic, innovative, and eager to explore new ideas. This perception is not without merit. We are the generation that has grown up in the digital age, where information is readily accessible and technology advances at a rapid pace. This exposure has equipped us with a unique set of skills and perspectives that can be invaluable in addressing the challenges of our time. One of the most significant powers of youth is our ability to adapt. In a world that is constantly evolving, change is inevitable. However, itis not always easy to embrace change, especially when it comes to our personal lives or our careers. As college students, we are faced withthe daunting task of making decisions that will shape our future. By embracing change, we can open ourselves up to new opportunities and experiences that we may not have considered before.Consider, for instance, the recent global pandemic. It has disrupted the lives of millions, forcing us to adapt to remote learning and work-from-home arrangements. For many, this was a challenging transition, but for young people, it presented an opportunity to showcase our resilience and adaptability. We have learned to navigate the digital landscape, develop new skills, and collaborate with peers from different parts of the world. This experience has not only enriched our lives but has also prepared us for the uncertainties that lie ahead.Another crucial aspect of the power of youth is our capacity for innovation. History has shown us that young people have been at the forefront of groundbreaking advancements. From the invention of theinternet to the development of renewable energy sources, youngindividuals have played a vital role in shaping the world we live in. As college students, we have the advantage of being surrounded by diverse perspectives and ideas, which can inspire us to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions to the problems we face. However, with great power comes great responsibility. As young leadersof tomorrow, it is our duty to use our skills and talents for the betterment of society. This means taking responsibility for our actions and making conscious choices that contribute to a sustainable and equitable world. Here are a few ways in which we can fulfill this responsibility:1. Education: As students, we have a responsibility to acquire knowledge and skills that will enable us to make informed decisions and contribute meaningfully to society. We must also be lifelong learners, staying abreast of the latest developments in our fields and seeking to expand our horizons.2. Environmental stewardship: The world is facing a climate crisis, and it is up to us to take action. We can reduce our carbon footprint, support sustainable practices, and advocate for policies that protectour planet.3. Social justice: We must be aware of the inequalities that exist inour society and work to dismantle systemic barriers. This includes promoting diversity and inclusivity, standing up against discrimination, and supporting marginalized communities.4. Leadership: As young leaders, we have the power to inspire and motivate others. We must lead by example, demonstrating integrity, compassion, and resilience. In conclusion, the power of youth lies in our ability to adapt, innovate, and take responsibility. As college students, we are at a pivotal moment in our lives, where we can make a real difference. By embracing change, using our unique skills and perspectives, and taking responsibility for our actions, we can contribute to a brighter future for all.Thank you for your attention, and let us all strive to be the change we wish to see in the world.[The end]。

american, in whose symbolic shadow we stand signed the emancipation proclamation. this momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. it came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of captivity.but one hundred years later, we must face the tragic fact that the negro is still not free. one hundred years later, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. one hundred years later, the negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. one hundred years later, the negro is still languishing in the corners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land. so we have come here today to dramatize an appalling condition.in a sense we have come to our nation's capital to cash a check. when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.it is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check which has come back marked "insufficient funds." but we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. we refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation.so we have come to cash this check -- a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.we have also come to this hallowed spot to remind america of the fierce urgency of now. this is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. now is the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of god's children. now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.it would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of the negro. this sweltering summer of the negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning.those who hope that the negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. there will be neither rest nor tranquility in america until the negro is granted his citizenship rights. the whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.but there is something that i must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. in the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.we must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. we must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.the marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the negro community must not lead us to distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.we cannot walk alone.and as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall march ahead. we cannot turn back. there are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "when will you be satisfied?" we can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. we cannot be satisfied as long as the negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. we can never be satisfied as long as a negro in mississippi cannot vote and a negro in new york believes he has nothing for which to vote. no, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.Learn How to Say NoWe've all been taught that we should help people. It is the right thing to do and will make us popular with others. It may even win us favors in return. However, we must be realistic. We can't say yes to every request. If we did, we would fail or go crazy for sure. Sometimes we simply don't have the time to help. In this case, we must know how to say no politely. When we need to say no, here is one method we can try. First, we should tell the truth. If we really can't do something, we should just say so. Second, we should remember to refuse requests politely. We must communicate clearly, but must also be sincere and sympathetic. A true friend will understand. Finally, we must not feel guilty about saying no. Sometimes refusing others is the right thing to do. It can save ourselves, and them, a lot of trouble. In short, we cannot please everyone all the time. Refusing favors is a part of life.Never, Never Give UpWe often hear people say, “Never give up.” These can be encouraging words and words of determination. Besides, if we always give up when we fail, we will not be able to develop new skills and grow as people. Another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort. Furthermore, if we give up, we have non chance of attaining our goals, but if we keep trying, there is always a chance that we will succeed one day.good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! The poet said: spring flowers to the door pushed open 。

But now I have to set several alarm clocks to make myself could hear them in the morning otherwise I would miss my class. And then even worse there would be nobody remind me except my teacher! So the differences are everywhere and I could easily find them. The change of life is great and its wonderful: I have more timeof my own and the rights to decide how I live. My campus activities are rich and ning English has become a habit to me cause I plan to study abroad in next few years.Playing Guzheng is my favorite activity. I have kept on practising it since I was a little girl and I wish to win more competitions in my campus life. Our university has the first level equipments and the most experienced teachers, also has the best students(laugh). I consider it to be a honor that Ive got a chance to study here and I sincerely hope that we could live wonderful lives in our campus!我的大学生活英语演讲稿作文(5)I think every student in junior high school or even a new term the first class meeting is a new semester new plan, the University did not expect to have such a ban would be the same. However, every freshman to the University of strange environments such as exploration in the dark. However, an early goal set for myself in the dark, lit as a beacon, a constant reminder to guide us forward.Sister school seniors who passed before the exchange of experience, we can avoid detours. But everyone there is a separate individual, the experience can not be completelycopied, should have its own general plan. College life includes learning, work and life. Following on from the three aspects I came to my planning.About Learning: As long as we still a student, the total should be on learning more important position.Said freshman should be laid and compacted in the high number of basic English. Therefore, in this two subjects put more effort is acceptable. Last week the high number may be,I do feel a certain degree of difficulty, the preview before class and after school consolidation exercise is important. Hope that through their practical learning in high numbers on the Do not hang Division. Morning Reading soon began to organize, which is learning English, the best opportunity to practice oral English.Indeed difficult to get up early, but I, as a member of the Department of Learning, I not only have to set an example for other students should have acquired in the Morning Reading in. We have classes two nights a week only, the night a lot of time should be fully utilized. Go to the library, participate in various activities that can harvest a lot of lectures!Other courses I would like to attend a lecture class, examtake notes, exams should be no problem.About work:every freshmen want to get a job at the university to exercise their own. I was no exception, experiencing a lot of job interviews, into the three departments. Will certainly be a little tired, a little busy, but I am full, know a lot of people, make more friends, learned a great deal of knowledge not in books. Learning to do the work of the best things correct.About life: as born in Wuhan, is the first time I came to the University of fully independent living. From open water to the laundry to wash, to organize the House ... Everything seemed very used to. Without the help of parents and care, even nagging, autonomy back to me. More were free, were less constrained; more hard copies, far fewer care; more were lazy, far fewer urge ... but bedroom, the students have the help and concern, I also feel the general home warmth.I believe in learning, work, find the balance between three aspects of life, go hand in hand, college life will be our life a perfect memory!Thank you! The end of my speech!我的大学生活英语演讲稿作文5篇。

写一篇大学第一次演讲的英语作文

写一篇大学第一次演讲的英语作文

写一篇大学第一次演讲的英语作文全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1My First Big Speech at UniversityHi! My name is Tommy and I am going to tell you all about the first time I had to give a speech in front of a huge crowd at university. It was super duper nerve-wracking but I'll explain everything that happened. It was my first year at Capital City University and I was taking this class called "Public Speaking 101". The professor's name was Dr. Roberts and he was kind of an intimidating guy with a really deep voice. On the first day of class, he explained that we would all have to get up and give a big 10 minute speech in front of the whole class at the end of the semester. I gulped when I heard that because just the thought of talking in front of so many people made my palms get all sweaty.Over the next few months, Dr. Roberts taught us tips for being a good public speaker. He said things like "Project your voice from your diaphragm" and "Make eye contact with people in the audience" and "Don't say 'umm' and 'uhh' too much". Wealso had to give some shorter 2-3 minute speeches to practice, but those didn't feel too bad because they went by really fast. Finally, it was time for the dreaded big 10 minute speech at the end of the term. A whole week before, Dr. Roberts asked us what topics we wanted to do our speeches on. I really like science and fossils, so I decided to do mine on dinosaurs. I spent a ton of time researching all the different types of dinosaurs, making sure I knew how to pronounce all their goofy names like "Tyrannosaurus Rex" and "Triceratops". I also found some funny dinosaur jokes to try and make the audience laugh. The night before the speech, I practiced giving the whole thing to myself about a million times in my dorm room mirror. My roommate Billy made fun of me for it, but I didn't care because I needed all the practice I could get! I laid out my nice shirt and pants for the next day, set about 15 alarms on my phone so I wouldn't oversleep, and tried to get some sleep (though I tossed and turned a lot from nervousness). When the big day arrived, my stomach felt like it had a billion butterflies fluttering around in it. I forced down a little breakfast, took a million deeeep breaths, and walked to the classroom. As I entered, I could see that all the chairs were arranged in a huge semicircle facing the front. There was apodium and microphone set up at the front of the room too. I picked a seat near the back, hoping maybe I would have to go last and could mentally prepare more.Nope, no such luck! Dr. Roberts called my name to go first. With shaky legs, I walked up to the front of the massive room and stepped up to the podium. I could see probably 200 people looking at me, which made me feel super duper nervous and small. I had printed out my whole speech on some notecards in case I got stuck, and they were shaking along with my hands. I gave the audience a weak smile, excitement the microphone, and began:"Hhhi everyone...my nhname is Tommy and I'll be ttalking about ddinosaurs today..." My voice was so quiet and squeaky! I tried to clear my throat and project more from my diaphragm. "Dinosaurs roamed the Earth between 230-650 million years ago during a period called the 'Mesozoic Era'..." As I continued, I could feel myself getting more comfortable. I made sure to scan the audience and make eye contact with people in different sections. Whenever I told one of the dinosaur jokes, some kind people would laugh which boosted my confidence.About halfway through, I started having more fun with it and putting emphasis and expression into my voice. "The ferociousT-Rex was one of the most fearsome predators, with massive powerful jaws and razor sharp teeth as long as a human forearm!" I could see people looking interested and engaged instead of bored. I pointed at the dinosaur skeleton model that the AV club had brought in for my speech and joked "As you can see from this model, we actually know that dinosaurs loved to dress up in tiny tan colored wigs and bright red ties." That got a good laugh. Before I knew it, I had reached the end and wrapped up my conclusion. "...which is why some scientists believe that a huge asteroid strike is what ultimately made dinosaurs go extinct. Thank you all for listening!" I was greeted with a solid round of polite applause. As I walked back to my seat, Dr. Roberts gave me a thumbs up and a warm smile. Phewwww, I had survived! The rest of the speeches went by in a blur.Giving that first big speech ended up being not nearly as scary as I thought. It was actually kind of fun in the end! I felt really proud of myself and confident. Since then, any time I've had to get up and speak in front of people really doesn't bother me much at all. I'm just glad I faced my fears about public speaking head on. Now I'm getting excited to take even morespeech classes so I can become a super confident public speaker! Maybe I'll even join the debate club. Thanks for reading, byeeee!篇2My First Big Speech at CollegeHiya! My name is Tommy and I'm 8 years old. I'm in 3rd grade and I really like gym class, recess, and eating chicken nuggets for lunch. Today I want to tell you all about the first big speech I had to give when I went to college. Yeah, I know I'm just a kid but you gotta listen up because this is a really cool story! So there I was, just a little kid starting my first year at Harvard University. I was finally out of elementary school and getting ready for the big leagues of higher education. On the very first day, my professor Dr. Stevenson told us we'd all have to get up in front of the whole class and give a 20 minute speech. Can you believe that?! A 20 whole minute speech for a kid like me who can barely sit still for 5 minutes at a time. This was gonna be super hard!I spent weeks and weeks getting ready for my big moment. I worked on my speaking skills by practicing my times tables out loud. I wrote down all my thoughts and ideas in my diary with my favorite Hulk pencil. I even did mock speeches in front of mystuffed animals so I could get used to having an audience. Mr. Fluffkins the bear was a pretty tough crowd though - he kept yawning when I talked about photosynthesis. Finally, speech day arrived and I was sooo nervous. My stomach felt like it had a billion butterflies flapping around in it. My hands were getting all sweaty and gross. But I kept telling myself "You're a tough kid Tommy! You got this!" I looked around the big college lecture hall and saw about 300 students watching me. They were all these big high school and college kids, but I wasn't scared of them. I knew I was smarter than all of them combined!I got up to the podium, adjusted the microphone down to my level, and began my speech entitled "Why Velcro is the Greatest Human Invention Ever." I started off by giving the class a little Velcro history lesson. Did you know the first Velcro was inspired by sticky burrs that kept getting stuck to a Swiss inventor's dog fur and socks? Wild, right?!Then I spent like 10 whole minutes going over all the amazing real world applications of Velcro. It's not just for your shoes anymore! Velcro is used in everything - NASA spacecraft, bulletproof vests, even some fancyєuro dresses. If we didn't haveVelcro, the whole world would literally fall apart. Okay maybe that's a little overdramatic, but you get my point! To wrap up, I explained how Velcro represents the pinnacle of human ingenuity and curiosity. That Swiss guy saw a problem (stuff getting stuck to his dog's fur) and invented an awesome solution that changed the world forever. Who knows how many other amazing inventions are out there just waiting to be thought up by observant, creative people? When I finished my speech, I got a standing ovation from the whole auditorium! Well, some people were probably just stretching after sitting for 20 minutes. But a bunch of people were definitely clapping and cheering super loud. I felt like a real grown up genius! Even Professor Stevenson came up and shook my hand, saying it was one of the most informative and engaging speeches she'd ever heard. I just smiled big with my missing front teeth and said "Aw shucks, it was no big deal!"From that day on, everybody at Harvard treated me with a lot of respect. I basically became the smartest kid on campus. Sometimes students would stop me and ask for my autograph or beg me to explain theorems and philosophies to them. My head literally grew three sizes from getting so inflated with pride and knowledge! In conclusion, giving my first speech at college was pretty much the coolest, most important thing I've done in my whole 8 years of life so far. It helped me get over my fear of public speaking in a bigly way. It showed me that even though I'm just a kid, I can achieve huge things if I work hard, believe in myself, and utilize Velcro. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be the President or an astronaut or whatever other awesome grown up job there is. But I'll always remember my velcro speech as the moment little Tommy became a Harvard legend!篇3My First Big Speech at CollegeHi! My name is Jamie and I'm in 5th grade. I want to tell you about the first time I had to give a really big speech at college. It was super scary but also really cool! So, last year my family went on a trip to visit my big cousin Alex who goes to State University. He's studying to be a teacher and he had this huge class where he had to get up in front of like 200 people and give a presentation on how to teach math to kids. Can you imagine?? 200 people is like my whole elementary school watching you talk!Alex was really nervous about it for weeks before. He kept practicing his speech over and over in his dorm room. Sometimes he'd make me sit and listen so he could get used to talking in front of people. His roommates said he was driving them crazy going over his slideshow like a million times. Finally the day came for Alex's big presentation. We got to the giant lecture hall where his class meets and I couldn't believe how huge it was! The room had these massively tall ceilings and there were rows and rows of seats that just went on forever. At the front there was a podium and a big screen for Alex to show his slideshow. As we were finding seats, I saw some of the other students setting up their laptops and notes for their own speeches. They all looked just as nervous as Alex did. Some were sitting by themselves running through their notecards over and over again.A few were standing in the aisles kind of rocking back and forth looking terrified. I'm so glad I didn't have to do that!Soon the professor came in and got the class started. First she had them watch this reallyyyy long video about speech techniques that I got pretty bored during. But then it was time for the first few students to go up and give their presentations. The first guy was so shaky! You could hear his hands trembling as he messed with the microphone. And when he started talking his voice was all squeaky and rushed. The professor had to keep reminding him to slow down and project more. I felt really bad for him because he seemed so freaked out. Definitely not off to a great start!A few more students went and they were just okay. Nothing too memorable really. But then it was Alex's turn and I was on the edge of my seat!He walked up with his clicker for the slides looking pretty confident. He did some deep breaths and looked out at the audience saying篇4My First College SpeechHiya! My name is Jimmy and I'm gonna tell you all about the first time I had to give a speech in front of my whole college class. It was super nerve-wracking but I'll get to that part later. It all started at the very beginning of my freshman year. I was finally at college after waiting my whole life to go! On the first day, I had this class called "Public Speaking 101" on my schedule.I didn't really know what it meant but I figured it would be abouttalking in front of people since that's what "public speaking" sounds like. The professor was this older lady with gray hair named Mrs. Robertson. On the first day, she explained that over the semester we'd all have to get up and give speeches in front of the whole class. My stomach did a little flip when she said that! I've never been a big fan of getting up in front of a bunch of people, even if it's just to read a book report or something. Now I was going to have to actually give a speech? And not just once but like five or six times? I started sweating just thinking about it.After class, I called my mom to complain about the speech assignments. I told her there was no way I could possibly get up and talk in front of all those people without puking everywhere. She said something like "Jimmy, take a deep breath. You're going to college now which means you have to start doing grown-up things, even if they're scary at first. Just take it one step at a time and I know you can do it." Hearing her say that made me feel a little bit better, but only a little. The first speech wasn't until about a month into the semester so I had some time to mentally prepare myself. But that month went by wayyyy too fast. Before I knew it, Mrs. Robertson announced that our informative speeches would be happeningover the next few class periods. My speech date was coming up soon and I still had no clue what I was going to talk about! At this point, I was freaking out big time. I couldn't concentrate on anything else because the speech was constantly on my mind. I had terrible visions of freezing up at the podium and having a total meltdown in front of everybody. My roommate Billy noticed how anxious I was and asked what was wrong. As soon as I told him about the speech, he was like "Dude, just talk about your favorite video game, that'll be easy!" Billy's suggestion was actually a pretty good idea.I ended up deciding to give a speech all about the Battlefield video game series, especially the latest one that had just come out called Battlefield 2042. It's a game I've played a ton so it would be easy to talk about all the weapons, maps, graphics, etc. Making that decision instantly made me feel a little better since I'd have something familiar to talk about rather than a random topic.Once I had my speech topic figured out, the only thing left to worry about was actually giving the speech itself when the day came. I spent hours practicing and preparing, going over my notecards, timing myself, and doing practice runs in front of amirror. Despite all that practice though, my heart was still racing like crazy when the day finally arrived.I remember sitting in the back row of the classroom while speech after speech happened. Each person looked more and more terrified as their name was called by Mrs. Robertson. When she finally called out "Jimmy Brown," I thought I might actually puke right there. My legs felt like jelly as I shakily made my way to the podium at the front of the room. I could feel my cheeks burning up from being so nervous. After taking a big, deep breath, I looked out at the sea of faces staring back at me and began my speech about Battlefield 2042. Surprisingly, once I actually started talking, I didn't feel quite as scared anymore. The key things I remember were trying not to go too fast, maintaining eye contact, and not relying on my notecards too much. About halfway through, I finally started to feel a bit more comfortable and relaxed. When I wrapped up my speech, there was a pretty decent smattering of applause from the class. Relief washed over me like a huge wave - I had actually done it without puking or fainting or anything! As I walked back to my seat, I couldn't stop smiling from ear to ear. It turned out that giving a speech wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be.The next time I had to speak, I was still a bit nervous but nowhere near as much since I knew I could handle it. By the end of the semester, giving speeches had become old hat for me. I learned that as long as you prepare properly and don't psyche yourself out too much beforehand, public speaking isn't that scary after all. I'm actually kinda looking forward to having to do more of it in future classes now that I've gotten over that first hurdle. So that's the whole story about my very first college speech!I went from being absolutely terrified to feeling like a public speaking pro, all in one semester. It just goes to show that no matter how nervous you might be about something, doing it for the first time is always the hardest part. Once you get that first experience under your belt, it's not so bad after all. I'm sure glad I had to take that class!篇5My First Big Speech at CollegeHi friends! I want to tell you about the super cool thing that happened to me last week. I had to give a speech in front of my whole college class! It was scary at first, but also really fun and exciting. Let me tell you all about it.It all started a few weeks ago when my professor, Mr. Jenkins, told us we would each have to pick a topic and give a presentation speech about it. He said public speaking is an important skill we all need to learn. I wasn't sure what to talk about at first. My big sister Sarah suggested I do my speech about my favorite dinosaur, the Velociraptor. But then I remembered how cool it was when I went camping with my family last summer, so I decided to talk about that instead.I spent a long time getting ready for my speech. First, I had to make some notes about everything I wanted to say. I wrote down all the funny stories from the camping trip, like when my dad fell into the lake trying to fish! I also looked up some interesting facts about the forest we camped in and the animals that live there.Next, I had to practice giving the speech out loud. I pretended my stuffed animals were the audience. I stood up tall at my little desk and used a loud voice like they teach you in speech class. My baby brother Michael just laughed at me, but Mom said I was doing a great job. I kept practicing over and over so I would feel ready. Finally, it was speech day! I got dressed up in my nice red polo shirt and combed my hair. In class, the students all tookturns going up to the front of the room to give their speeches. Some people's hands were shaking and you could tell they were really nervous. A few kids just read off a piece of paper the whole time without looking up.When it was my turn, I walked up to the podium feeling a mixture of excited and scared. I looked out at all the faces staring back at me and took a deep breath. Then I started speaking nice and slowly like I had practiced."Good morning class. My name is Michael, and I'm going to tell you all about the awesome camping trip I went on with my family last summer..."As I gave my speech, I told them all the fun stories and cool facts I had prepared. I showed them pictures I had printed out of me roasting marshmallows, my dad catching a huge fish, and our family's tent set up in the woods. I even did an impression of the sound a raccoon makes at night that had some people laughing. About halfway through, I wasn't nervous anymore - I was just having fun up there! When I got to the end and said "Thank you," everyone clapped and cheered. I did it! I gave my first big speech in college and it went great. On my way back to my seat, Mr. Jenkins gaveme a high-five and said "Excellent job, Michael! You're a natural public speaker." That made me feel so proud and confident.Giving a speech in front of a lot of people seems scary at first, but if you just prepare ahead of time and stay calm, it can actually be really fun. I'm so glad I didn't back out of doing it. Now I'm excited for the next time I'll get to speak in front of a group! Maybe I'll join the debate club or something. Who knows, maybe I'll end up being a famous public speaker when I grow up. For now though, I'm just happy I conquered my first big college speech. Let me know if you ever have to give one - I'll tell you all my tips!。

英语演讲比赛稿作文5篇1. The Importance of Diversity in Today's SocietyLadies and gentlemen,Good afternoon. Today, I would like to talk to you about diversity and its importance in today's society.First and foremost, diversity means understanding, respecting, and accepting differences among people in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, economic status, and more. With the world becoming increasingly globalized, diversity has become a crucial aspect of our lives. It brings a range of perspectives, experiences, and ideas together, which leads to innovation, creativity, and problem-solving in society. For example, research shows that diverse teams in companies tend to perform better as they bring different background and knowledge to the table. This diversity of thought helps to identify new opportunities, increase productivity, and improve decision-making. Similarly, in education, having a diverse student body brings an open-minded and enriched learning experience that better prepares students for the real world. Moreover, diversity creates a more inclusive and equitable society. People who feel valued and respected are more likely to contribute positively to their communities and societies. It increases social cohesion and reduces social inequalities, leading to a more peaceful, just, and harmonious world. However, despite the benefits of diversity, there are still many challenges to overcome, such as discrimination, prejudice, stereotypes, and biases. We need to be proactive in promoting diversity and inclusion, rather than just tolerating it. We need to celebrate our differences, learn from them, and embrace them.In conclusion, diversity is an integral part of our modern society. It provides opportunities for growth and change, and allows us to create solutions to some of the world's most pressing issues. By valuing diversity in all aspects of our lives, we can create a better society that treats everyone with respect and inclusion.Thank you.2. The Impact of Technology on EducationLadies and gentlemen,Good evening. Today, I would like to discuss the role of technology in education and its impact on our lives.Technology has transformed the world, and with its integration into education, it has revolutionized the way we learn and acquire knowledge. With the help of technological advancements like computers, the internet, and mobile devices, students can access a plethora of information at their fingertips. One of the most significant impacts of technology on education is the ability to personalize and customize learning for students. Students can learn at their own pace, on their own time, and intheir own way. Technology helps educators deliver lessons that cater to the individual needs of each student, which improves learning outcomes and student engagement. Moreover, technology makes learning more interactive, engaging, and collaborative. With technological tools such as online discussion forums, video conferencing, and virtual classrooms, students can share ideas, collaborate on projects, and work together on assignments regardless of their location. This helps foster a sense of community and belonging, which is essential in creating a positive learning environment. However, with advances in technology, concerns about its impact on students have arisen. For example, too much screen time can lead to health problems such as eye strain, headaches, and sleep deprivation. Additionally, there are concerns about online safety, privacy, and access to inappropriate content. To address these concerns, we must strive to use technology in a responsible and balanced manner. This means setting limits on screen time, promoting digital literacy, and ensuring online safety and privacy for all students. In conclusion, technology has the potential to improve education and transform the way we learn. With its ability to personalize learning, increase engagement, and promote collaboration, it has become an essential tool in education. However, we need to be aware of its potential hazards and use it responsibly and judiciously.Thank you.3. The Impact of Social Media on SocietyLadies and gentlemen,Good afternoon. Today, I would like to discuss the impact of social media on our lives and society.Social media has become an undeniable part of our daily lives, with people spending hours scrolling through their feeds each day. It has brought people closer together, allowed for greater communication with loved ones, and enabled us to connect with people from all over the world. One of the most significant impacts of social media on society isits ability to be a platform for social change. Social media can amplify voices and bring attention to social injustices that may have gone unnoticed otherwise. It has been used to organize political movements, raise awareness about important global issues, and effect change in policy.Additionally, social media has greatly impacted the way we consume news and information. With so many news sources available online and on social media, people can access news and information from multiple perspectives. This has led to an increased awareness of global issues and affairs, as well as a greater understanding and tolerance of diverse viewpoints. However, with its increasing use, concerns have arisen about theimpact of social media on mental health. Studies have shown that excessive use of social media can lead to feelings of isolation, depression, and anxiety. Additionally, the constant comparison to others online can lead to low self-esteem and a negative body image.Overall, social media has had a profound impact on our society. It has brought people closer together, amplified voices for social change, and provided unprecedented access to news and information. However, we must be mindful of the negative impact of excessive social media use and take steps to promote healthy and responsible social media usage.Thank you.4. The Importance of Mental Health AwarenessLadies and gentlemen,Good evening. Today, I would like to talk to you about the importance of mental health awareness.Mental health is an essential part of our overall well-being. It affects how we feel, think, and behave, and it influences our ability to function in our daily lives. Despite its impact, mental health is often disregarded and stigmatized in society. One of the most significant reasons for this is a lack of awareness and understanding about mental health. Many people do not realize the severity of mental illness or understand the steps that can betaken to prevent it. Additionally, the stigma surrounding mental illness can prevent people from seeking proper treatment, leading to further negative consequences. To address this, we must promote mental health awareness and understanding. This means educating people about the warning signs of mental illness, how to cope with stress and anxiety, and the importance of seeking help when needed.Additionally, we must work towards reducing the stigma surrounding mental health. The negative stereotypes and attitudes surrounding mental illness can make it difficult for people to seek help without fear of judgment or discrimination. By reducing the stigma, we can create a safer and more welcoming environment for those struggling with mental illness. In conclusion, mental health awareness is a crucial part of our overall well-being. By promoting understanding, reducing stigma, and increasing access to resources, we can create a more supportive society for everyone.Thank you.5. 英文演讲稿优秀作文1as you slowly open your eyes, look around, notice where the light comes into your room; listen carefully, see if there are new sounds you can recognize; feel with your body and spirit, and see if you can sense the freshness in the air.yes, yes, yes, it‟s a new day, it‟s a different day, and it‟s a bright day! and most importantly, it‟s a new beginning for your life, a beginning where you are going to make new decisions, take new actions, make new friends, and take your life to a totally unprecedented level.in your mind’s eye, you can see clearly the things you want to have, the paces you intend to go, the relationships you desire to develop, and the positions you aspire to reach.you can hear your laughters of joy and happiness on the day when everything happens as you dream. you can see the smiles on the people around you when the magic moment strikes. you can feel your face is getting red, your heart is beating fast, and your blood is rushing all over your body, to every single corner of your being!you know all this is real as long as you are confident, passionate and committed! and you are confident, you are passionate, you are committed!you will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial expressions, using your body in new ways, approachingnew people, and asking new questions.you will live every single day of your life with absolute passion, and you will show your passion through the words you speak and the actions you take.you will focus all your time and effort on the most important goals of your life. you will never succumb to challenges of hardships.you will never waver in your pursuit of excellence. after all, you are the best, and you deserve the best!英文演讲稿优秀作文2People often wonder why historians go to so much trouble to preserve millions of books, documents and records. Why do we have libraries? What good are these documents and history books? Why do we record and save the actions of men, the negotiations1 of government officials and the events during wars?We do it because, sometimes, the voice of experience can cause us to stop, look and listen. Sometimes, past records, when understood in the right way, can help us decide what to do and what not to do. If we are ever to create lasting peace, we must seek its origins in human experience and in the records of human history. From the stories of courage and devotion of men and women, we create the inspirations of youth. History records the suffering, the self-denial2, the devotion, and the heroic deeds of people in the past. These records can help us when we are confused and when we really need peace. The main purpose of history is to create a better world. History gives a warning to those who promote war, and inspiration to those who seek peace. In short, history helps us learn. Yesterday’s records can keep us from repeating yesterday’s mistakes. And from the pieces of mosaic4 assembled5 by historians come the great murals6 which represent the progress of mankind.英文演讲稿优秀作文3The chief problem we should face to is our atitude towards stress .People usually say they can not live in the sun except they escape from stress . It's unwelcome ! Yes , however , very necessary . Just image a world where stress does not exist and people lead their life in a very comfortable way . But is this kind of living condition as perfect as we hope ? Without stress , they may feel very satisfied with the current life but lack of power to discover new things . Too much satisfaction result in nothing except a countermarch of the society . No stress , no development . So a certain amount of stress is good . It can stimulate us and increase our level of alertness .And our answer to stress is another vital problem . How to do with ourselves when stress suddenly break into our life ? To wave the white flag and admit our unability , to give up to our ideality , or worstly , just to suicide as to put an end to everything. Of cause not . The principle is to tackle with stress gentlely and harmoniously. We should try our best to release ourselves . Such as to do some exercise , to linsen to traditional Chinese music or classical music to ease our minds and to learn to view these changes of life as challenges .It's no use crying over spilt milk . Only to accept what has happened can solve the problem .Ok , I think I was under large stress 3 minutes before , but now I am here and have finished my speech . Here is the last thingI want to add to my topic ,face to it and overcome it ,stress is alsoa piece of cake .That is all . Thank you very much.英文演讲稿优秀作文4and some of us who have already begun to break the silence of the night have found that the calling to speak is often a vocation of agony, but we must speak. we must speak with all the humility that is appropriate to our limited vision, but we must speak. and we must rejoice as well, for surely this is the first time in our nation's history that a significant number of its religious leaders have chosen to move beyond the prophesying of smooth patriotism to the high grounds of a firm dissent based upon the mandates of conscience and the reading of history. perhaps a new spirit is rising among us. if it is, let us trace its movements and pray that our own inner being may be sensitive to its guidance, for we are deeply in need of a new way beyond the darkness that seems so close around us.over the past two years, as i have moved to break the betrayal of my own silences and to speak from the burnings of my own heart, as i have called for radical departures from the destruction of vietnam, many persons have questioned me about the wisdom of my path. at the heart of their concerns this query has often loomed large and loud: "why are you speaking about the war, dr. king?" "why are you joining the voices of dissent?" "peace and civil rights don't mix," they say. "aren't you hurting the cause of your people," they ask? and when i hear them, though i often understand the source of their concern, i am nevertheless greatly saddened, for such questions mean that the inquirers have not really known me, my commitment or my calling. indeed, their questions suggest that they do not know the world in which they live.in the light of such tragic misunderstanding, i deem it ofsignal importance to try to state clearly, and i trust concisely, why i believe that the path from dexter avenue baptist church -- the church in montgomery, alabama, where i began my pastorate -- leads clearly to this sanctuary tonight.英文演讲稿优秀作文5Students, guests , teachers and Honorable JudgesGood morning !my great pleasure to share my dream with you today. my dream is to becom#e a teacher....As the whole world has its boundaries, limits and freedom coexist in our life. English as a Tool for Global Communication in University: My First Semester Experience As a fresh English major student in university, myfirst semester was an eye-opening journey that introduced me to the vast world of the language. English, often described as the lingua franca of the globe, plays apivotal role in bridging cultural divides and fostering understanding among people from diverse backgrounds. During my first semester, I realized that English is not just a subject to study but a powerful tool for communication and personal growth.Embarking on this academic journey, I was initially intimidated by the rigors of the English curriculum. The transition from high school to university-level studies was challenging, especially with the added complexity of academic writing and critical thinking skills. However, I quickly realized that the key to success was not just memorizing grammar rules or vocabulary but understanding how English is used in real-world contexts. My professors emphasized the importance of active listening and critical reading skills. They encouraged usto engage with the material, asking questions, and discussing our interpretations with peers. This interactive approach to learning was a stark contrast to the passive memorization I had become accustomed to in previous years. It was a refreshing change that fostered a deeper understanding of the subject matter. One of the most significant aspects of my firstsemester was the emphasis on public speaking. I had always been apprehensive about speaking in front of groups, fearing that I would stutter or forget what I wanted to say. However, through a series of presentations and speeches, I learned to overcome my fears and develop confidence in my ability to communicate effectively. These speaking opportunities not only helped me improve my language skills but also taught me about the importanceof nonverbal communication. Learning to maintain eye contact, speak clearly, and vary my tone and pitch helpedme convey my ideas more effectively. I also realized that public speaking is not just about saying the right wordsbut about connecting with the audience and fostering a shared understanding.Another valuable aspect of my first semester was the exposure to different cultural perspectives. As an English major, I had the opportunity to study literary works from various parts of the world, giving me a window into different cultures and ways of thinking. This cultural diversity broadened my horizons and made me more aware of the complexities of the global community. Moreover, the opportunity to engage with native English speakers from different countries was a great asset. Conversations with them helped me understand the nuances of the language and how it varies across different regions. This experience was invaluable in helping me improve my language proficiency and prepare me for future professional endeavors. In conclusion, my first semester as an English major in university was a transformative experience. It taught me that English is not just a subject to study but a powerful tool for communication and personal growth. Through active learning, public speaking opportunities, and exposure to different cultural perspectives, I have gained confidencein my ability to use English effectively in variouscontexts. This journey has been enriching and has laid a solid foundation for my future academic and professional pursuits.**英语作为全球交流工具在大学的第一学期体验** 作为一名大学新生英语专业学生,我的第一学期是一段令人大开眼界的旅程,让我深入了解了英语的广阔世界。

With time goes by, it becomes a bit hard for me to remember everything about myself at the first day of my college life. However, there was one thing for sure that I did feel quite excited and curious about my university. There is no doubt that students like me have struggled for a long time so that can be permitted to enter the university.随着时间的消失,记得在我的第一天大学生活对我来说变得有点艰难了。

然而,有一点是确定的,我对大学真的感到很兴奋很奇怪。

毫无疑问,许多像我这样努力了很长期才可以进入大学的学生。

Bringing with expectation,I got into Zhejiang Gongshang University. Generally speaking, its an interesting and fantastic place for us to study and live in. Every day a series of outgoing people get into my eyesight. Curious and out of politeness, Id talk to them heartto heart. Here I makefriends with my new classmates from everywhere around China.Whats more, time and weather permitting, I will enjoy jogging or playing basketball with my classmates on the playground, tired but happy. When staying indormitory, I choose to read news online and sometimes watch a film for relaxing. However, a good student can never leave his study behind. When it comes to study, hard problems never upset me, instead they arouse me. Rather than ignoring it, Id think carefully for a while and ask my classmates for help.带着期盼,我进入了浙江工商大学。

大学生英语演讲作文(1)Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of abook, whose pages are infinite”. I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’vealways liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it tobe. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reapa good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. Toanswer it,first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youthis not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshness of thedeep spring of life.A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wildflower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Severaldays ago, I had a chance to listen to a lecture. I learnt a lot there. I’d liketo share it with all of you. Let’s show our right palms. We can see three linesthat show how our er and life is. I have a short line of life. What about yours?I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, let’s makea fist.Where is our future? Where is our love, career, and life? Tell , it is in ourhands. It is held in ourselves. We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can gobetter itself. Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From thepast, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. We’ve learnt thatwe can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. Failure doesn’tmean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way.Failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder. As what I said at the beginning,“we are reading the first verse of thefirst chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothingwe do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what wegive to the world, the world will give to us. And from today on, let’s be theowners of ourselves, and speak out “We are the world, we are the future.”大学生英语演讲作文(2)Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, today i am so happy to stand here to giveyou a speech。

Or rather, a real story of mine。

Though with time going by,i can still remember what you once told me。

Youshould be a brave girl。

Smiling,you looked into my eyes。

Year in,year out, nearlymost of my memories are fading little by little。

But only this simple sentenceremained, without being forgotten in my life。

Again and again,i can not stop myself from thinking about it。

Soordinary, but so impressive,so moving, just like the brightest sunshine,it helpsme go through the darkest night。

I am such a sensitive girl in your heart。

Yousaid,my sorroful facial expression made feel so distersssed。

However, there is onething i never tell you, that is ,i am being a big girl gradually with your wordsand smiles。

I never tell you about it,for i believe oneday, you can see the greatchanges of mine for yourself。

That is what i want to do in return。

As i know, thatwill be the best gift for you。

I suddenly think of a song named MY HEART WILL GO ON。

There is a beautifulsentence going like this。

You are safe in my heart。

More than once,i was moved totears by it。

I know ,i am also safe in your heart。

i have already forgotten when itold you i was going to leave for Australia this summer holiday。

You just smiledas usual,gently speaking。

Whatever you decide to do,i will be in favor of it,but, just onething, remember, when you fell lonely abroad,do not forget we are here, praying for you。

We are all around you,far across the distance and spacebetweenus。

i closed my eyes,the flashback started。

The memories we had together, once weplayed games on the palyground,we played jokes on each other, you always wrote alot of sentences on my articles to encourage me。

And the most unforgetablething,you told me,you believed m i could be a big girl。

Sooner or later。

At that specific moment,i suddenly understood the meaning of this sentencetotally。

So on that day,i smiled as you used to,looking at you。

The last words isaid were, keep walking in sunshine。

Yes,keep walking in sunshine。

I said to you ,also to myself。

I know i am notalone wiht your pany, and we can keep walking in sunshine till the last minute ofour days。

I promise,i will be a big girl。
