2006年6月四级真题作文:On Students Selecting Lecturers 1.有些大学允许学生自由选择某些课程的任课教师;2.学生选择教师时所考虑的主要因素;3.学生自选任课教师的益处和可能产生的问题。
On Students Selecting LecturersRecently some universities have begun to allow students to select their lecturers freely, which has led to some debate over whether students should be given this kind of right.When it comes to selecting lecturers, there are often several factors that students consider. First of all, is the lecturer’s teaching style funny or serious? Moreover, the lecturer’s reputation among students will also be taken into account. For most students, only those who have an interesting teaching style, a sound academic background, and a good reputation among students can be regarded as “qualified” teachers.There are both advantages and disadvantages to allowing students to choose their lecturers. Granting the power to students encourages them to be more involved in their classes, and also puts pressure on teachers to improve their teaching quality. However, when selecting lecturers, students might not aim at improving the quality of education, so schools might end up with lecturers whoteach interesting classes without much content.On Students Selecting LecturersNobody could have failed to notice the fact that some universities have rendered students access to selecting certain courses’lecturers, thus, to some extent, bringing students more freedom in selecting not only lectures but also lecturers.When it comes to selecting lecturers, it is the lecturer whose lectures are of great interest and easy to take in that catches students’fancy. Besides, students give priority to those lecturers who are capable of making themselves understood from a unique as well as penetrating perspective.What’s more, a teacher with plentiful knowledge and humorous teaching style is favorable.It is commonly accepted that students learn quickly when listening to the lectures which agree with their appetite. Furthermore, more freedom, more competition. In this case, lecturers will spare no effort to make a perfect lecture to improve students’ study. However, while students enjoy the benefits, they may have to face the problems that follow such as unfair competition. On the other hand, the management of classes may be in disorder.We can conclude that grant ing students the right to choose their own teachers has both positive and negative effects. What we mustdo is to make sure that the positive ones are encouraged and the negative ones are eliminated as far as possible.现象解释型作文模板一Recently/ Nowadays/ At present/ Presently, ____________________. 英语作文—On Students’ Interpersonal Relationship
In my opinion, now that interpersonal relationship is important to students’ development, colleges should offer courses about comprehensive interpersonal relationships. The course should address the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors involved in participating in positive relationships in the family and with individuals at school, in the community and in the workplace.

写作样文分析(科艺07级)On Students'Selecting Lecturers
写作样文分析:2006年6月24日CET-4 (科艺)On students’ selecting lecturersDirections: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on the topic of students’selecting their lecturers. You should write at least 120 words following the outline given below.1.有些大学允许学生自由选择某些课程的任课教师2.学生选择教师时所考虑的主要因素3.学生自选任课教师的益处和可能产生的问题(9 pts)Some universities allow students to select lecturer by free.There are three reasons when students to choose their lecturers. Firstly, students choose the lecturers which they are interested in. Students’ selecting often effect by the lecturers’ course. Secondly, a lot of students select the lecturer who is not strict with students and they can get through the course very easy. I think this is the main reason for students to select lecturers. Last, some students will choose the lecturers who’s course is leleated to their own major course. I think these are small part among the large number of students.There are all my own opinions. But we can see many problems. One is some students only want to get through the course, they choose the “smart” lecturer who is not strick with them. Every coin has two sides. There also have advantages. The freedom of selecting lecturers expends students’ selecting and students can choose the lecturer which they like or the course which they are interested in.To my opinion, I like the freedom of student s’ selecting lecturers. I can select the lecturer which I like, then it can make me study much hard.(9pts)Nowadays, some universities allow students to select lecturers. And when the students select lecturers, they must think about a lot. It can be listed ass follows. First, if students select lecturers, they must select what they like. Second, if the lecturers that students selected must be respected by them. Third, the lecturers the students selected must be helpful to them. Students select their lecturers is benefical to them. Students will listen carefully in the classes and work hard. What’s more, they will have a good knowledge of much things. In addition to this, they will learn by heart. Moreover, they can solve the complicated problems with the help of their lectures. However, if students select lecturers also created some problems. For example, if a lecturer is so good that many students select him. So the students who can’t select him will become unhappy and don’t work hard. What’s worse, if a lecturer isn’t selected by many students, they will become sad and it’s not good to competition among lecturers. And if some students select their lecturers don’t by heart, it would affect their attitude of study.(8pts)Generally, the students have no chance to select their teachers. But with the developing of education, some colleages let their students select their teachers by themselves in some subjects.There are some reasons for this action. As we know, every teacher’s teaching style is different with other’s. To the students, they must have the different ways which they like best. Such as some students like the strict teachers. Because they can’t control themselves well, so they hope the teachers can oversee them. But others maybe like the kind teacher, in their eyes, they can communicate with the teachers well, they can ask the more questions. In a word, how to improve their studys is the most important fact.Students’ selecting lecturers is good for them to make the success in their studys. And the questions between students and teachers may be dinishing. But, on the other hand, there are some troubles. Every class’s number is different and don’t know how to compare with others. It has an effect on the teachers.(8pts)Now there are several colleges allow students to choose their lecturers of some lectures. This is a good way to encourage some students to study hard, because students will listen more carefully to the lecturer whom they choose by themselves. I think every student chooses his or her lecturers whom are best in his or her heart. However , maybe most students would think about these factors. The lecturer is communiting easily and friendful with students; meanwhile, he is a humorious teacher; Also he is good in his lecture.Selecting lecturers by ourselves must have advantages and disadvantages. But the advantages are more than disadvantages. As students listening to a lecturers they like best are more careful. On the other hand, some leacturers maybe have too much students while others have so little students.(8pts)As we know, students have no chance to choose lecturers, but now some universities allow students to choose some course’s lecturers freely.When it comes to choose teachers, students always consider about the main factors which are listed as follow. Firstly, kind and outgoing lecturers are popular among the students. Secondly, students prefer a leturer who has passion when he is having classes. What’s the most important thing is the lecturer’s knowledge, if out lecturers have a good knowledge of courses, it will help us broaden our horizon and make a easy approach to our study.A coin has two sides, of course. Selecting lectures freely also has disadvantages and advantages. Selecting lectures freely will make students love the courses and have a further step on learning, it’s good for them to develop themselves. However, selecting lectures freely may cause problems. Some teachers may be ingnored which contribute to obtaining much pressure on teachers, and then if the teachers are so popular that they have too many more students, the classes are noisy at last.(8 pts)In middle school, we don’t have the right to selecting lecturers. The teacher of school will arrenge lecturers of our courses. However, some universities allow students to select lecturers of some courses freely.As students, when we select lecturers, we will think it carefully. We will select lecturers who we like. If we like the lecturer we also will like the subject he or she teach. Then we can aquire the knowledge quickly and fully. We also will select lecturers who have lots knowledge and be kind to students.The students’ selecting lecturers has adventge and disadventage. Students can learn the course by heart. On the other hands one lecturer may be selected by many studers and others don’t. It will give troubles to school.(3 pts)There are many villages have a silen that the students can choose teachers who they like.If a teacher wants to be cheosen. He should do sth what can make students choose him. There are many teachers will tell some storys to introduce students. And there are also many teachers are very hurmorous that can give students a good impress. But I think the most popular teacher must love his students and put his hart in his students.I think students can choose teachers in their mind can improve their intrstrs of study and make teacher more to their student. But on the other hand, the teachers who have less choosen will unhappy. And it can make them don’t love teaching.(3 pts)Much of colleague allow students to choose some lecturers of some class.I think students selecting their lectures have a many reason. Some students may can see lecturers teach student’s neleage. And some students can think whether lecturers are very interesting. Their think fun lectures can give him many knowledge.Some student’s know that on students’ selecting lecturers they can more interst and very hard-study. This make their study can have good.But other students don’t think so. Their think lecturers is colleague set up, and if students’ choose it can go wrong. Some teachers can lose their job. rightjoinon用法
```sqlSELECT , courses.course_nameFROM studentsINNER JOIN coursesON students.student_id = courses.student_id;```以上SQL语句表示从学生表(students)与课程表(courses)中查询学生姓名和所选课程名。
通过使用inner join关键字以及on子句,我们可以通过学生ID将这两张表进行连接,并获取满足条件的记录集。
三、left join on的用法及示例1. left join on概述左外连接(left outer join)同样允许根据某些条件将两个或多个表格进行连接,同时返回左表格(left table)中的所有记录,无论是否满足连接条件。
当右表格没有匹配记录时,会自动填充NULL值。
2. left join on代码示例假设我们仍使用学生表(students)和课程表(courses)。
但是这次我们想要查询所有学生的选课情况,包括那些还没有选课的学生。
```sqlSELECT , courses.course_nameFROM studentsLEFT JOIN coursesON students.student_id = courses.student_id;```以上SQL语句使用了left join关键字以及on子句。
网课对学生的影响英语作文
网课对学生的影响英语作文The Impact of Online Learning on StudentsThe rapid advancements in technology have brought about significant changes in the educational landscape, and the COVID-19 pandemic has further accelerated this transformation. One of the most notable developments is the widespread adoption of online learning, commonly referred to as "network courses" or "online courses." As students navigate this new educational landscape, it is crucial to examine the impact of online learning on their academic and personal growth.One of the primary advantages of online learning is its flexibility and accessibility. Students can now access educational resources from the comfort of their own homes, eliminating the need for physical commutes and enabling them to balance their studies with other commitments. This flexibility can be particularly beneficial for students who face geographical or logistical barriers to traditional classroom-based education. Additionally, online learning platforms often provide a wealth of resources, including pre-recorded lectures, interactive exercises, and supplementary materials, which students can access at their own pace and convenience.Furthermore, online learning can foster a more personalized learning experience. With the ability to pause, rewind, and review course content, students can better tailor their learning to their individual needs and preferences. This can be especially advantageous for students who may struggle with certain concepts or require additional time to grasp the material. The interactive nature of many online learning platforms also encourages active engagement and participation, which can enhance the learning process.However, the transition to online learning has not been without its challenges. One significant concern is the potential for increased social isolation and a lack of face-to-face interaction. The absence of in-person classroom discussions and group activities can make it more difficult for students to develop essential social and interpersonal skills. This can be particularly problematic for younger students who are in the formative stages of their social and emotional development.Additionally, the self-directed nature of online learning can pose difficulties for some students. Without the structure and guidance of a traditional classroom setting, students may struggle to maintain motivation, discipline, and time management. The lack of immediate feedback and support from instructors can also hinder the learning process, as students may feel disconnected from their teachers andpeers.Another concern is the potential for technological barriers and inequalities. Not all students have access to reliable internet connectivity or the necessary technological devices to fully participate in online learning. This digital divide can exacerbate existing educational disparities, further disadvantaging students from low-income or underserved communities.Furthermore, the transition to online learning has raised concerns about academic integrity and the potential for cheating. With the reduced supervision and increased reliance on self-reported assessments, there is a heightened risk of academic dishonesty, which can undermine the credibility of the educational system.Despite these challenges, the impact of online learning on students is multifaceted and can vary depending on individual circumstances and learning styles. Some students may thrive in the online environment, while others may find it more difficult to adapt. It is crucial for educational institutions, policymakers, and stakeholders to address these challenges and implement strategies to support students throughout their online learning journeys.One potential solution is to adopt a hybrid approach, which combines the benefits of both online and traditional classroom-based education. This model can provide students with the flexibility of online learning while also incorporating face-to-face interactions and hands-on experiences. Additionally, educational institutions should invest in robust technological infrastructure, provide comprehensive training and support for both students and teachers, and implement robust academic integrity measures to ensure the quality and fairness of the online learning experience.In conclusion, the impact of online learning on students is multifaceted and complex. While it offers numerous advantages, such as increased flexibility and personalization, it also presents significant challenges, including social isolation, technological barriers, and concerns about academic integrity. As we navigate this evolving educational landscape, it is crucial for all stakeholders to work collaboratively to address these challenges and ensure that online learning empowers and supports students in their academic and personal growth.。

Abstract:With the development of teaching revolution, reformers, teachers and students pay more attention to English reading. In order to promote the development of English teaching and pursue the quality of English education, this essay emphasizes the importance of English reading and it is very necessary to improve the ability and skills and methods of English reading. It is mainly about how to help students to develop and improve reading ability by themselves.Key words: English reading; the ability of reading; skills; methods; topic sentence;I. The importance of English readingAt the beginning of the 2000s’, the problem became more and more serious in China that students’ ability of listening and speaking English was very poor. In order to solve this problem, the English teaching reformers began to put priority to the training of listening and speaking skills. But it was unfortunately that “the baby has been thrown out with the bath water”, because what they have done began to change totally the methods and techniques of English teaching; they have gone to the other extreme. Today, more and more emphasis advocated putting on “balanced program of development”. I think we should bear in the mind that English teaching and learning should be regarded as a course of all-round development of the four skills, which refers to listening, speaking, reading and writing. When I say that reading skill is more important for most that Chinese people, I don’t mean that Chinese students need not to learn to listen to English, or speak English. As there is a large amount of written English available, and all kinds of information can be found in those written materials, people must read them in order to get in formation. A person can choose what he likes or needs to read, this fact arouse people’s interest in reading. Even t he most unenthusiastic learners can choose materials “just right”for them. Written materials are very convenient forpeople to choose from to read, one can read the whole book or just some parts, read it once or several times, read it quick or slowly. “Reading allows the language learners the ultimate amount of freedom in accessing comprehensible input”. During most Chinese students’school period, as well as their occupational career, they will need to learn to read such things of written English as textbooks, international correspondence, technical manuals, journals, and other things like these. “In China, reading also has a major role to play SLA (second language acquisition), generally, that is, reading may aid the learning or acquisition of EFL (English as a foreign language) by Chinese students the most”.The development of the reading skills is of great use for the development of listening, speaking and writing skills. Speaking ability is based on a certain number of words and the knowledge of sentence structure. The most important way to achieve this is reading, especially when one wants to express an idea in a systematical way. If a person wants to improve his listening ability, one of the things he must do is to try to learn some background information through reading, such as books of politics, economics, society, technology, culture, history, custom and characteristic of English-speaking countries. All these can help listeners to understand the speakers. Writing ability is also based on reading. We can say the importance of reading to writing is just like the importance of listening to speaking. A person can’t write an article before he reads many articles. The more you read, the better you write.Reading ability is the basis for students to learn English by themselves. According to the middle syllabus, the teachers are required to “cultivate the students ability to analyze and solve concrete problems independently, try to help raise the ability of the students to think things out for themselves, try to foster the students’ ability to study their own, and give scopes to the students’ initiative and creativeness”. It’s impossible for students to master a foreign language only through class attendance. If a student has not learned English well, he will forget it soon after graduation. We must try to help students to learn to teach themselves. The training of this kind of ability must be begun with the development of reading ability.II. Basic reading skills and reading methodsAt present, how to foster the students’English reading skills and methods is really a big problem for English teaching and learning in middle schools. While reading, we should use some reading skills to read through the article with an aim in limited time and the readingcomprehension accuracy can’t be below 70%. This reading method demands not only the necessary language basis and relevant knowledge but also the reading skills and habits.A famous English writer Francis Bacon has said: “Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested.”So during our study we should use different ways to read various articles according to different reading aims.There are four skills in English reading:skimming, scanning, reading, critical reading.1.Skimming: quick reading for the general ideas of a passage. It’s usuallythe first step for us to read a passage. This kind of rapid reading is appropriate when trying to decide if careful reading would be desirable or there is no time to read something carefully. While reading, we should pay attention to the first and the last paragraphs and the first and the last sentences of each paragraph.2.Scanning: like skimming, scanning is also quick reading. However, inthis case the search is more focused. To scan is to read quickly in order to locate specific information. The reading aim is to grasp its main points or find some facts (e.g. A particular date, name or number, etc) in the passage.3.Reading:for thorough comprehension: careful reading in order tounderstand the total meaning of the passage. At this level of comprehension, we should summarize the author’s ideas and grasp every supporting detail.4.Critical reading: This demands that we make judgment about what weread. After we read the passage carefully we should try to understand the deeper implication as well as the literal meaning. We can pose and answer some questions such as “Does my own experience support that of the author? Am I convinced by author’s arguments and evidence?”There are five steps in English reading method1.Survey: Before reading a book or a chapter of it, survey its catalogue,subtitles, preface (illustration) and diagrams. Before reading the main body of the article, survey the beginning and the ending of every article or every paragraph of the article, find out the topic sentence and conclusion of the article, understand its important information.2.Question: According to the information got from the first step,formulate some questions by our own favorites and interests, and then read the article again with the questions.3.Read: Read the article carefully and answer the questions, underlinethe main idea and important supporting details.4.Recite: While reading, give the list of the important details andconclude the main idea of the article, then retell the summary of it in spoken or written English.5.Review: Review the reading notes in time to intensify theunderstanding the article, consolidate the new words mastered and make up the parts not mentioned or understood.III. How to help students to improve reading ability by themselves Nowadays, all the teacher and students in the middle school are paying much more attention to reading English passages. However, how to improve your reading level is still a big problem. I have some advice on how to help students to improve reading ability by themselves.First of all, when students are reading a passage, I suggest you should read it as quickly as possible and try to get the general ideas about it. If you read it fast, you can grasp the main meaning of the passage. Otherwise, if you read it slowly, you will only see “the trees” instead of “the forests”. While reading, you had better read it sentence by sentence instead of word by word. After reading, if you are able to grasp the main meaning of it, that’s okay. But how to help students to improve their reading speed?①we should not always ask our students to read the materials carefully. Extensive reading is indeed important, but we should also teach them to read fast. A better way to foster this habit is to avoiding reading aloud. It will slow reading speed. So, if we want improve our reading speed, we should overcome the habit of reading aloud while reading. When we are reading something, we should only depend on our eyes. During this course, there should not be the process of punctuation in our mind. As a teacher, we should point out the importance of this way, and form the habit of reading quietly step by step, thus improve our reading speed.②we should do our best to avoid repeating. Most students usually repeat the word, phrase and sentence that he just read a moment ago. They are always afraid that they did not understand before, what is worse, the times that they repeat are too many. Even if it is an unimportant word, they also repeat for several times. That affects the reading speed greatly. So, when we are reading, we should repeat as few times as we can, always reading forward can improve our reading speed.③we should know how to look through. Looking through is one of the best ways for a lot of reading. In modern times, all kinds of information are producing fast. In order to be a successful one in such a society, weshould know how to look through. And we should know that it is not enough to know extensive reading. The purpose of looking through is to master or grasp the general idea of the passage in a short time. It is unnecessary to mast and use the skills of looking through. Quite a few people have already used it while they are reading, but perhaps they did not realize that. If you want to be good at skills, you should practice more. Besides some reading materials, you can usually look through some newspapers, magazines, and Internet reading materials, such as china daily, the 21st Century, Yahoo net. After training for some times, there is no doubt that your reading speed will be improved greatly.④you should enlarge your reading range and learn to use reading skills: skimming, scanning and skip reading. When a student is reading a passage, if he can only read a word at a glance, it is certain that his reading speed is too slow. But if he can read three or more words at a time, his reading range is wide or we can say his reading ability is stronger than the former one. The reading range will affect your reading speed; we can improve our reading range by training. We should use skimming, scanning and skip reading to read. It is very useful and helpful.Secondly, try to find the topic sentences in order to get the main idea of the passages better. Generally speaking, if one passage is complex in structure or it involves much information such as culture, social background, climate or tradition and customs, perhaps you will be puzzled at what on earth the writer ways. But you can be sure that there is one main idea in the passage. How well you are able to comprehend the passage depends on whether you can get the main idea. The main idea of a paragraph is often expressed by a topic sentence.A topic sentence usually best expresses the main idea that the writer is trying to get across. Most paragraphs have a topic sentence. The topic sentences are always in the first line of every paragraph. So it is a good idea for you pay special attention to the first sentence of a paragraph. But sometimes the topic sentences appear in the middle of the paragraph. Certainly, from time to time, the topic sentence turn up in the last line of the paragraph. When reading a passage for the first time, you need care about for the topic sentences and skim the passage.The opening and the closing paragraph in a passage or chapter are also particular important. The opening paragraph suggests the general direction and the content of the piece, while the closing paragraph often summarizes the very essence of what has been said. Searching for the main idea of a paragraph is often called extensive reading. When we take thiskind reading skill, it is enough for us to get the general idea, and we need not to note all the details. Contrast with this skill, another reading skill is named intensive reading. Very often after you have read a text for the first time, you then return to it to perform more detailed comprehension exercises, which focus on the details of the text. It is true that almost in all writing authors use details to express and defend the point they are trying to make. So to read more effectively, we must recognize and remember the important details of a passage. A detail is a piece of information or a fact in a paragraph or in a passage which either proves, defines, or proves an example of the main idea of the reading material. Some facts are the whole sentence while others are the brief phrases. One way of deciding if something is a detail is by asking yourself: is this the fact could tell someone? We cannot simply give “Yes”or “No”. It depends on the concrete occasions. We take different reading skills in different occasions.Thirdly, try to guess the meaning of the unknown words according to the context. You needn’t look up every unknown word in the dictionary whenever you meet the difficulties. Try to guess the meaning considering the context. It’s a common thing that you may meet some unknown words. Take it easy and face the difficulties. There are seven context clues to guess the meaning of the unfamiliar words:Context clue 1: DefinitionSometimes a writer knows that a word is unfamiliar or strange to many readers. To make the word easier to understand, the writer may include a definition of the word in a sentence. This context clue is the easiest one to spot. Look at the following examples:①A jetty---- a wall built out into the water, protects the harbor.②Sara is indecisive, that is, she cannot make up her mind.Context clue 2: General knowledgeMore often than not, the meaning of many words can be easily guessed if you use your own experience or general knowledge of the subject. Look at the following examples:①The door was so low that I hit my head on the lintel.②Lily got on the motorbike, I sat behind her on the pillion, and weroared off into the night.Context clue 3: ExamplesExamples can also give you some clues or hints to the meaning of unfamiliar words. Studying the following sentences:①Select any of these periodicals: Time Magazine, Newsweek,Reader’s ②Digest or the New Yorker. (From the examples, you can easily figure out the meanings of the word “periodicals”.)Mary is studying glaucoma and other diseases of the eye. (This sentence does not tell you exactly what “glaucoma”means, but it does tell you that “glaucoma” is a kind of eye disease)Context clue 4: Related InformationSometimes you can make an intelligent guess of the meaning of some new words or expressions if you put together related information from the surrounding text. Just look at the following examples:①John was angry… once again he flew into a rage.②Just before the exam Tom’s hands shook and sweated so much thathe could not hold a pen. His heart beat fast and his stomach ached, even though he new the subject very well. He really had a strange phobia about taking tests.Context clue 5: RestatementMore often, you may find a restatement, which tells you almost as much as a definition. Look at these examples:①Jim had a wan look. He was so pale and weak that we thought hewas ill.②Carbon monoxide (CO) is a noxious gas that can cause death.Context clue 6: ComparisonWhen we compare things, we see how they are like each other. So comparisons in writing can give you clues to the meanings of the unfamiliar words. Look at the following examples to see if you can get an idea of the meaning of each italicized word.①The snow was falling. Big flakes drifted with the wind likefeathers.②The hot-air balloon took off. It was as buoyant in the air as a corkin winter.Context clue 7: ContrastThe use of a contrast can give you a hint to the meanings. Look at the following examples to see if you can get an idea of the meaning of each italicized word.①Lucy was talking with others while Lily remained reticent all thetime.②Most of us agreed; however, Carl dissented.Fourthly,reading is another means to improve reading ability. You had better read English articles as many as possible. The more, the better!At the beginning, you can choose some easy stories. When you can have improved tour reading a little, you have a try to choose more difficult English articles to read. You’ll improve your reading step by step if you keep on reading English articles. I suggest that you order some popular English magazines or newspapers to read during your free time.At last you should try your best to learn some of your texts by heart. If you have free time, you can try to remember some interesting and instructive texts for more times until you are able to retell the story well. In this way, you can develop the language sense that is very important for every English learner. You also need to learn some phrases and important sentence structures by heart.Generally speaking, as long as you keep on reading English articles as often as you can, you are sure to improve your reading level. You should select and read more English books that are suitable for you. In a word, you should try your best to use some advanced reading methods to improve your reading levels by yourselves.Reference books:1.王才仁《英语教学交际论》,广西教育出版社,19962.刘雪岚“阅读的策略”《外语与外语教学》,1998年第11 期3.苏宁“国外第二语言阅读研究的当代开发”,《国外外语教学》,2001年第4期4.何广铿《英语教学研究》,广东高等教育出版社, 20025.朱锐“How to improve reading speed”, 《英语周报》,2005年第29期6.吕恩平“On developing students’speed reading ability in senior Englishteaching”, 《英语周报》,2005年第21期7.刘发强“How to improve the ability of English reading”, 《英语周报》,2005年第8期8.王冬“The importance of English reading Course”, 《英语周报》,2005年第34期9.Klingner, K.J.& Vaughn S. 社交媒体对学生影响英语发言稿
社交媒体对学生影响英语发言稿Social Media's Impact on StudentsThe rise of social media has significantly transformed the way we communicate, interact, and access information. As students navigate the digital landscape, the influence of social media on their lives has become a topic of increasing concern. This essay will explore the multifaceted impact of social media on students, focusing on both the potential benefits and the potential drawbacks.One of the primary benefits of social media for students is the enhanced connectivity it provides. Through various platforms, students can easily stay in touch with friends, family, and peers, fostering a sense of community and belonging. This connectivity can be particularly valuable for students who may feel isolated or disconnected from their immediate social circles. Social media offers a virtual space where they can share their thoughts, experiences, and interests, and find support from like-minded individuals.Moreover, social media can be a valuable educational tool for students. Many educational institutions and teachers are incorporating social media into their teaching practices, usingplatforms like Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube to share educational content, facilitate discussions, and encourage collaboration among students. This integration of social media in the classroom can enhance student engagement, promote critical thinking, and facilitate the exchange of ideas.However, the impact of social media on students is not entirely positive. One of the primary concerns is the potential for social media to negatively affect students' mental health and well-being. The constant exposure to carefully curated images and narratives on social media can lead to feelings of inadequacy, envy, and low self-esteem. This can be particularly problematic for adolescent students who are already navigating the challenges of personal growth and identity formation.Additionally, the excessive use of social media can have detrimental effects on students' academic performance and productivity. The constant temptation to check notifications, scroll through feeds, and engage in online activities can lead to decreased concentration, procrastination, and reduced time dedicated to studying and completing academic tasks. This can ultimately result in lower grades, decreased academic achievement, and a diminished ability to focus on educational priorities.Another significant concern is the potential for social media toexpose students to harmful or inappropriate content. Social media platforms can be breeding grounds for cyberbullying, hate speech, and the spread of misinformation. This can have serious consequences for students' emotional well-being, social interactions, and overall development.Furthermore, the excessive use of social media can lead to the development of unhealthy habits and dependencies. Students may become addicted to the constant stimulation and validation provided by social media, leading to a decrease in physical activity, poor sleep patterns, and a diminished ability to engage in face-to-face social interactions.To address these concerns, it is crucial for students, educators, and parents to adopt a balanced and proactive approach to social media use. This may involve setting clear boundaries and guidelines for social media use, encouraging mindful and intentional engagement, and promoting digital literacy and critical thinking skills.Educators can play a pivotal role in this process by incorporating digital citizenship and media literacy into their curriculum. By teaching students how to navigate the digital landscape safely and responsibly, they can empower them to make informed decisions about their social media use and mitigate the potential negative impacts.Additionally, parents can work closely with their children to establish healthy habits and routines around social media use. This may involve setting time limits, encouraging offline activities and hobbies, and fostering open communication about the challenges and benefits of social media.In conclusion, the impact of social media on students is a complex and multifaceted issue. While social media can offer valuable opportunities for connectivity, education, and self-expression, it also presents significant challenges that must be addressed. By adopting a balanced and proactive approach, students, educators, and parents can harness the benefits of social media while mitigating its potential drawbacks, ultimately empowering students to thrive in the digital age.。
teacher corrupts students -回复
teacher corrupts students -回复Title: The Damaging Influence of Teacher Corruption on StudentsIntroduction:Teacher corruption is an alarming issue that must be addressed in order to protect the integrity of our educational system. This article will delve into the consequences of teacher corruption on students, exploring the various ways in which it damages their educational journey and affects their overall personal growth. Through astep-by-step analysis, I will shed light on this issue, highlighting the profound negative impact it has on students.1. Definition of Teacher Corruption:Teacher corruption can be broadly defined as any dishonest or unethical behavior exhibited by teachers, which undermines the quality of education and disregards the welfare of students. This can include actions such as accepting bribes, grade inflation, favoritism, harassment, or even embezzlement.2. Weakening of Academic Standards:One of the immediate consequences of teacher corruption is the dilution of academic standards. When teachers indulge in corruptpractices such as grade inflation or accepting bribes, they compromise the integrity of the grading system. Consequently, students become less motivated to work hard, as they realize that their success is not based on their actual performance but on unfair advantages.3. Generation of a Culture of Dishonesty:When students witness their teachers engaging in corrupt practices, it can create a culture of dishonesty within the educational environment. They may internalize the notion that cheating or taking shortcuts is acceptable behavior, leading to an erosion of ethical values and moral compasses. This affects not only their academic pursuits but also their personal and professional lives in the long run.4. Undermining Trust and Confidence:Teacher corruption significantly undermines the trust and confidence students have in their educators. Students look up to their teachers as role models and mentors, seeking guidance and support. However, when teachers betray this trust and engage in unethical behavior, it shatters the foundation of theteacher-student relationship. This can lead to emotional distress,reduced motivation, and a lack of faith in authority figures.5. Inequality and Unfair Advantages:Teacher corruption perpetuates a vicious cycle of inequality by fostering a system that rewards students based on connections rather than merit. Students from disadvantaged backgrounds are disproportionately affected, as they lack access to the same opportunities and resources as their more privileged peers. Thus, teacher corruption further widens the educational divide and limits students' chances for upward social mobility.6. Stifling Personal Growth:By corrupting the educational environment, teachers hinder the personal and intellectual growth of students. Rather than fostering a love for learning and curiosity, corrupt teachers promote a culture that values shortcuts and quick fixes. This hampers critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity, crucial attributes for success in today's dynamic world.7. Lack of Accountability:A crucial aspect of addressing teacher corruption is holding individuals accountable for their actions. Yet, the culture ofimpunity surrounding teacher corruption often allows offenders to escape consequences. This further weakens the trust students have in the educational system and perpetuates a cycle of corruption.Conclusion:Teacher corruption poses significant risks to the future of our educational system and the overall development of students. From academic dilution to the erosion of ethical values, the consequences are far-reaching and long-lasting. It is imperative that institutions and policymakers take proactive steps to prevent and combat teacher corruption. By fostering transparency, promoting ethical standards, and ensuring accountability, we can protect the integrity of education and nurture a generation of responsible, morally upright individuals.。
Report on Students' Diet and Health Survey
Report on Students' Diet and Health SurveyAbstractKeywords: diet, healthThe study was undertaken to find out whether college students have a healthy diet. The study shows that while most students have began to pay attention to their diet, a proper eating habit for every student is still a long way off. The study was begun on Nov.11th,and lasted about two weeks. The survey shows that our health remains vulnerable because of some bad eating habits. This observation is not new, but our team has found out the main causes. Eating in irregular time and quantity without the right food and a lack of health knowledge are thought to be the reason.Our study still has a few shortcomings. Not enough students were being surveyed as a lack of time. Besides that, we were not able to get a deep insight into the possible solutions. Maybe some specialized knowledge on health should be told to everyone.Introduction and Literature ReviewIt is reported that the college’s health is getting worse. There are different kinds of causes affecting the health of college students,one of the most essential causes is what we eat, how we eat and when we eat.We aimed at finding out the main problems of undergraduates’ diets.It is believed that illness finds its way in by the mouth.So our health is mainly decided by eating habits.Find out the mistakes in diet and offer some useful suggestions to the students is meaningful.The ultimate objective of this report is to improve the health condition of undergraduates.This report examines what affected undergraduates’ diets.For example ,students were asked whether they eat three meals a day in regular time and quantity or not.And they were also questioned something about the structures of their diets,such as they eat more meat or more vegetables.Many problems can be seen from the answers.Only 35 percent of these students can eat their meals regularly,and over a half students eat more vegetables.Students’ diets are affected by the unhealthy life habits more seriously than food structure.What’s mor e,just eat what we like and keep out what we should eat also affect our health.These problems are seen from the survey.But we can’t find out the causes roundly.And which of the problems are the main problems can’t be seen.And how seriously these causes influence student’s health are still unware.There are not useful suggestions can be collected from investigators.The questionnaire is too simple to catch more useful information.Anyway we achieve our goal partly.Methodology50 respondents were surveyed from undergraduates,mostly from HIT and a few from SDU.About 30 males and 20 females were surveyed,for the result has little to do with sex,there’s no need to count it so clearly.And 10 questions were asked,including 6 single choices,3 multiple choices and 1 open-ended question.After the survey,the statistics were analysed.Firstly,the result of each question was summarized.Then,theresults were analysed from two aspects,from the perspective of each question and the whole questionnaire.Finally,conclusions were drawn from all analyses.The special results of some questions were taken into account.The significance of the results was that they can reflect students' eating habits and the health of their diets.And beyond,the survey can remind some respondents of improving their eatinghabits,which were ignored for long.For the convenience of collecting respondents’ answers,the survey was conducted mainly in the form of paper.It was carried out during two weeks.The whole group was involved.About 9~10 respondents were questioned by each member.Many ways were used in getting the results.For example,some of the questionnaires were finished during the break of class by the students sitting around us,some of the questionnaires were filled by the students in the next dorm room,and even some of the questionnaires were finished in the Internet.The use of different ways ensured that the results are more representative.Finally,as we expected,about 45 questionnaires were got back,and the questionnaires that were not serious enough were picked out from the final 40 questionnaires.Statistics were got from the final 40 questionnaires,and it was more accurate than before.This is the overall process of our survey.Results and DiscussionIn general,the findings showed most students of HIT did want to care their health and diet.However,like the saying goes that easy said than done.Less than half of them did have a healthy diet.From the chart,it was clear that only 14 students we surveyed have regular three meals.The result was just as we e xpected,because most of HIT student did’t have a regular schedule and would stay up late and get up late the next day.In addition,it was hypothesized that one fourth of HIT students have stomachaches.Just as we expected,8 students we surveyed had it occasionally while 50 percent of them had stomachache once in a while.When it comes to what they ate ,near half of them had less vegetables than meat while the others had more vegetables than meat.Surpringly,half of the students atefruit occasionally and more than half drink more 2 cups of water.As we all know,there is no life without water.Conclusion and BibliographyAccording to this survey, we can easily know that college students do pay much attention to their daily diet and healthy condition. But much of them don’t have regular diet or enough fruits, maybe heavy study projects is the big reason. So if there is something remains to be learnt, it might be this. We should keep asking some questions about the reason restrict students have a healthy life.Through our survey,there still have some questions to be improved. First, some options are not very appropriately, such as the question about water’s daily intake. All the students we asked choose option “D”. Because our options is not reasonable, two cups of w ater is far away from our demand. Then, we didn’t consider the gender. There are quiet a lot differences for each question between men and women. This must be a big point for us to improved.The strength of us, I think, is our open question. It gives us few suggestions about things we could do for our health. Not only a survey but a plan for the future as well. If you really care about your health you can have a deeply thought on this question. It will play a big role in your future life.Over these conclusions, I think we should enhance the relationships between each question,and separate different groups of people which maybe affects the result of the survey.Appendix 1Students' Diet and Health SurveyDear students:In order to investigate s tudents’eating habits,We carried out this survey.We sincerely hope that you can spare a few minutes to help us with this questionnaire.1.Do you pay attention to your diet?A.speciallyB.occasionallyC.only when warnedD.do not care at all2.Do you have your three meals in regular time and quantity?A.regular time and quantityB.regular time and irregular quantityC.irregular time and regular quantityD.irregular time and quantity3.How do you arrange your diet?A.less meat and more vegetablesB.less vegetables and more meatC.only vegetablesD.only meat4.How often do you eat fruit?A.everydayB.occasionallyC.rarelyD.never5.What amount do you drink each day? 全球化对学生影响英语作文Globalization has had a significant impact on studentsin many ways. In this essay, I will discuss both the positive and negative effects of globalization on students.One of the most significant positive impacts of globalization on students is the increased access to education. With the growth of the internet and online learning, students from all over the world can now access education without leaving their homes. This has led to a more diverse and inclusive learning environment, as students from different cultures and backgrounds can now learn together.Another positive impact of globalization on students is the increased availability of study abroad programs. Many universities now offer study abroad programs that allow students to study in different countries and experience different cultures. This has led to a more global perspective among students and has helped to break down cultural barriers.Despite the many positive impacts of globalization on students, there are also some negative effects to consider. For example, globalization has led to increased competition in the job market. Students now have to compete with others from all over the world for the same jobs, which can be daunting.Globalization has also led to a homogenization of cultures. As different cultures interact with one another more frequently, they may begin to adopt similar values and beliefs, leading to a loss of cultural diversity.Overall, the impact of globalization on students is complex and multifaceted. While it has brought manypositive changes, it has also created new challenges that students must navigate. As we continue to move towards a more globalized world, it is important to consider these impacts and work to mitigate any negative effects.全球化对学生的影响是多方面的,既有积极的影响,也有消极的影响。

On Students' Interpersonal Relationship1.目前许多大学生处理不好人际关系2.出现这种现象的原因3.我的看法On Students'Interpersonal RelationshipPositive interpersonal relationships are vital for optimal humsit growth and development. However, in recent years, educators have expressed their concern about the ability of interpersonal relationship among students in institutions of higher education. According to a survey conducted by Hebei University, manycollege-age students regard interpersonal relationship as the biggest headache. Increasing diversity and rapid changes m our society make interacting with others more and more complex and difficult. With 1 united life experiences and social skills, college students face more challenges in dealing with interpersonal relationship. This is especially true for students coming from rural areas. Because of the lack of social skills, they are often rejected by others _ and rejection gives them even fewer chances to leam how to interact with others.In my opinion, now that interpersonal relationship is important to students* devclopmentj colleges should offer courses about comprehensive interpersonal relationships. The course should address the knowledge,skills, attitudes and behaviors involved in participating in positive relationships in thefamily and with individuals at school, m the conununity and in the workplace. On the Losing of Traditional Culture1. 现在许多传统文化正慢慢消失2. 传统文化消失的原因3. 我的看法On the Losing of Tyaditional CultureIt is widely noted that lots of traditional culture is dis^ppeBriitg alotig with the development of technology* Many aucient architectures and traditional ways of living have been deserted. It seems that the traditional culture and craftmanship will be replaced in this modem era.The following reasons can account for the above phenomenon. Firstly, traditional technologies are always considered ineffective while the new sciences are always highly efficient. Secondly, it is costly to protect the traditional culture.the fund used to protect the ancient culture was instead delivered to the poor, it will be helpful to the improvement of their living standard. Thirdly,modeni science and technology facilitate both our daiJy and academic life a tot. For instance, college students always collect their thesis materials by surfing the Internet instead of borrowing books from the library.In my opinion, although traditional culture is an ancient heritage, it couldn't keep pace with the development of society. It is the tide of history that the traditional culture and technology will no doubt be eliminated in the end.Waste Sorting1. 目前垃圾分类不是很普遍2. 忽视垃圾分类会带来哪些影响3. 我们应该…Waste sorting is not a popular convention in our country, though it should be. Garbage bins filled with all sorts of recyclable and non—recyclable wastes mixed together are seen everywhere. People still haven’t formed the habit of sorting wastes.The neglect of waste sorting will bring about a series of problems. First of all, it causes a mass of waste of resources that could have been recycled or reused. Secondly, the growing amount of mixed rubbish will take up a lot of space in the landfill site, which will worsen the land shortage problem. Last but not least, it will increase the cost of waste treatment.Waste sorting should be advocated, no matter from the perspective of economy or environment. Everyone should do their best by starting from daily life. More importantly, more campaigns for waste sorting should be conducted to raise the public awareness.Does Higher Education Cease to Be Useful?1. 大学生毕业找工作难,有人开始宣扬高等教育无用论2. 反驳说明这一观点是错的3. 得出结论In the current climate of rising college fees and tight job market, thefunctions of higher education is arousing public concern. Having a degree or not seems not to make any difference to our life and may not necessarily guarantee a good job and income.Students who attend higher education obtain a wide range of personal, financial and other lifelong benefits. First of all, the whole experiences of university life including all the academic lectures and social practices forge our personality and cultivate such virtues as cooperativeness and openness. In addition, according to the statistics, there is a trendy correlation between higher level of education and higher earnings despite the fierce job hunting competition. University is a huge advantage if we need to acquire expertise to practice in a meaningful profession.In my opinion, it would be wise to attend university. Having a decent degree and being broadly intelligent may not guarantee us success, but it makes us a candidate.。
