We blasted Disney songs on the car ride and Tommy and I sang along at the top of our lungs.When we finally arrived and stepped through the gates into Disneyland, it was like entering into a storybook fantasy world come to life. The sights, the sounds, the smells —it was all justpure magic. The famous Disneyland castle was the most gorgeous thing I had ever seen in my life. It felt like being transported into one of the Disney movies.That first day, we rode pretty much every famous Disneyland ride - Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Star Tours. We met countless Disney characters who seemed to jump straight out of the movies. Getting pictures and autographs from them was a dream come true for me. No matter how hot it got outside, I refused to take off my Elsa dress.One of the biggest highlights was getting to go to Mickey's Toontown and seeing Mickey and Minnie Mouse's actual houses from the cartoons. It was so detailed and realistic. I felt just like a kid diving into their cartoon worlds. Being inside Mikey's camper van bedroom seriously gave me chills.At night, we stayed for the spectacular fireworks show above Sleeping Beauty's castle. I've never seen anything so magical and dazzling in all my life. Watching it with the famous Disney music playing made me never want to leave Disneyland. Tears of joy rolled down my cheeks during the grand fireworks finale.As if one day wasn't enough, my parents had another mega surprise - we were staying for three days at one of theDisneyland hotels! The rides, the entertainment, the shops, the food — everything was mind-blowingly awesome.I don't think words can really describe what a incredibly magical and happy experience those three days were for me and Tommy. As huge Disney fans, it was beyond our wildest dreams to get to immerse ourselves in that Disney fantasy world. Even just walking around the parks looking at all the amazing decorations and attractions was a thrill. You could feel yourself getting swept up in the joy and imagination of Disney everywhere you went.Nights were the best though, watching the breathtaking fireworks shows and parades like the Paint the Night parade. All of the bright lights, music, colors, characters, and fireworkscreated indescribable feelings of wonder and happiness in my heart. Seeing the look of pure joy on Tommy's face the entire time just made it that much more special too.On our final night there as we were watching the fireworks over Sleeping Beauty's castle one last time, I started tearing up thinking about how I never wanted this dream vacation to end. I gave my mom and dad the biggest hugs ever and told them "thank you" over and over again through my tears of happiness. They had given Tommy and me the most incredible, magical gift - the gift of making our Disney dreams a reality.That trip will forever be cemented in my memory as the happiest, most magical three days of my entire life so far. Getting to be fully immersed in the jaw-dropping Disney fantasy worlds that I had adored since being a little kid was an experience I'll never, ever forget. Sure, we took tons of pictures and videos to reminisce on. But those amazing memories of the sights, sounds, smells, and feelings of pure bliss are what truly made it so special.I have no idea how my parents were able to pull off such an incredible surprise trip for us. Or how they were able to afford to make all our Disneyland wishes come true like that.
