Unit 11 Sad movies make me cry (第 1 课时)
一、教材分析
本单元以how do things affect you?为话题,从颜色、天气、音乐、广告、产品等方面谈论了外界事物如何影响人的心情。
要求学生掌握表达某物或某事给人带来的感觉、看法或影响等。
共设计了四个部分的内容:
Section A
该部分有4个模块:第一模块围绕Which restaurant would you like to go to?这一话题展开思维(la)、听力(lb)、口语(1c)训练;第二模块围绕How does music affect you?进行听力(2a-2b)、口语训练(2c);第三模块继续围绕how do colors in the restaurant affect you这一话题展开训练,训练形式为阅读和问题体验(3a)和小组活动(3b):第四模块仍就How do things affect you 这一话题以调查的形式展开讨论。
二、三维目标
1.语言目标,words and expressions生词和短语。
2.能力目标,能然学牛.谈论事情是怎样影响他们的心情。
3.情感目标,能够让学生理解事情对他们产生的影响。

1、Lead-inT: Most of us 1 ike music. A piece of soft music makes us feel relaxed, a loud music may make us feel boring and an exciting one makes us happy and excited. If you and your friends are at a restaurant with loud music on, you could hardly hear what your friends are saying. How does the music make you feel? Now look at the picture on Page 102. Thore arc two restaurants in the picture. In one of the restaurants, a loud music is broadcasting; while in
the other, we can only find a quiet and comfortable place. Which restaurant do you like? Wou1d you feel the same as the two girls do in the picture?
51:I' d like to go to the Blue Lagoon because I don' t like loud music. It makes me angry. This loud music may drive the guests away.
52:I'd like to go to the Blue Lagoon too because I like quiet music just like the girl in the picture docs. It makes me feci at ease.
53:I' d like to go to Rockin Restaurant. I 1 ike loud music. It makes me feel excited.
This loud music makes me want to dance.
54:I'd like to go to Rock in Restaurant too. I think loud music makes me feel energetic.
This loud music makes me feel encouraging.
T: So, the things in the restaurant may affect the people eating there. According to some science study, it is our own feelings that works, but not the things around us
affecting us though different things may have different effect upon us.
2、Step II Listening
Ask the students to listen to Amy and Tina talking about the two restaurants and do the exercises.
T: Next we' 11 hear a dialogue between Amy and Tina. Now listen and find out how the music in the two restaurants affect them.
Play the recording and check the answers.
3、课堂讲授
动词make的使役用法,make sb后分别接了形容词和不定式短语。
make的这种用法常见于以下结构:
①make+名词(代词)+省略to的动词不定式
My parents often make me do some other homework.我父母常让我做些其他的作业。
特别提示:这一结构中的不定式短语在主动结构中是宾语补足语,必须省去t。
,变为被动结构时,不定式短语作主语补足语,这时必须带to。
如:She was made to work for the night shift.她不得不上夜班。
②make+名词/代词+-ed分词短语。
如:What made them so frightened?什么使他们这样害怕?
③make+名词/代词+介词短语或名词短语。
如:She made him her assistant.她委派他做自己的助手。
@make+名词(代词)+形容词或形容词短语。
如:The good news made us happy.这条好消息使我们很高兴。

⑤.make +形式宾语it +形容词或名词(作宾语补足语)+从句(作真正的宾语)
如:They want to make it clear to the public that they do an important and necessary job.
他们要向公众表明,他们所做的工作不但重要,而且是必不可少的。

在本节课的教学过程中,面向全体学生,争取让每一个学生都能参与到教学活动中来, 得到练习的机会,教学目标圆满完成,大部分学生在这节课后能准确流利的使用所学句型以及单词进行自由会话。
基础不是太好的学生在理解上有些困难,从而不能很好的听懂老师的要求,课堂气氛有时不够活跃。

本课时主要是语法讲解与练习,将动词make的用法;并完成相应的练习4a与4b来巩固所学的语法知识.

Think of appropriate words for the blanks. Then compare your choices with your partner. For this part, ask the students to try to complete it by themselves. And then ask two students to say her or his answers to the whole class, and the other students can give her or his opinion about the diary. The answers are not only.
四)小组活动.(4b)
Complete the survey. Thon ask two other students.
We can use the following words or phrases:
happy, want to cry, uncomfortable, angry, nervous, feel like dancing;
You can begin like this:
A:What makes you angry?
B:When people throw rubbish on the streets, it makes me angry.
A: Me, too. It makes me want to tell them to clean up the streets.
Ask the students to practice the dialogue in his or her group, in order to grasp **make sb adj, make sb do” . Give the students about five minutes, and then ask two groups to act it out in the front of the class. And the teacher should say: OK or GOOD, in order to encourage more students to be active in English class.

(1)l a Look at the possible ending to the story of the unhappy king. Do you think any of
these is the right one? If so, which one?
Ask the students to complete it as their own thinks. Then ask two students say which he or she has chosen.
(2)Work in groups lb. What are some other possible endings to the story, discuss your
ideas with your partners.
(3)Listening. Listen and complete 1c and Id.
(4)(le) Work in group. Do you agree with the poor man' s thoughts? Discuss your ideas with
your group. Then role-play the rest of the story.
3.Section B (2a-2e)Tell your partner “Have you made a mistake? And how did it make you feel ?” 通过表达自己以前的经历,从而达到对所学的知识进行巩固;同时也锻炼了学生的口语表达能力.
(2)短文阅读。
