一、教学内容:

外研版英语五年级上Module 9 Unit 1 Are you feeling bored?(Period 2)

二、教学目标:

1.知识目标:

(1)能听、说、读写词汇:feel, sad, bored, angry, miss, ill, better, tell, told.

(2)掌握语句:Are you feeling...?及其回答:Yes,I am /No, Km not.并运用句型来询问他人感受的语句并回答。

2.能力目标:

使学生能够在真实情景中表达自己的情感,学会表达不同的情绪。3.情感目标:

会关注自我的内心情绪,并能及时进行调整;会关注周围人的心理感受;培养学生团结友爱、关心他人的良好品质。

三、教学重、难点:

1.重点:

(1)能够用Are you feeling…?句型询问他人的情绪。

(2)能够认读并正确运用单词:sad, angry, bored, happy, ill, better.

2.难点:灵活运用所学知识与他人交流自己的情绪和感受,以及用英语询问他人的情绪状况。

四、教学准备:多媒体课件、表情图片、单词卡片。

五、教学过程:

Step 1 Warm-up and lead inGreetings

T: Hello! Good morning boys and girls .

55:Good morning Ms Xu.

T: How are you ?

56:I am fine ,thank you . And you ?

T: I'm fine too, thank you .Are you happy today ?

Ss: Yes, I am .

T: Let's sing a happy song together.

1.Sing an English song.

2.Lead inT: Look at our friend Lingling. Was Lingling feeling happy?

Ss: She was feeling sad.

T: Last lesson we learnt Module 9 Unit 1 Are you feeling bored? In this lesson, we know that Lingling was feeling sad. Now let/s review the text together.

Step 2 PresentationListen to the audio of the text and repeat.

1.Read the text in groups.

2.Answer the questions according to the text.

(1)Why was Lingling feeling sad?

(2)How is Lingling feeling now? Why?

3.Read the words and sentences on the blackboard.

bored / happy / angry / sad

Are you feeling ...? Yes, I am. /No, Km not.

4.Match the pictures of different emotions with the correct words.

5.I say, you do.-1 do, you say.

Step 3 PracticePlay a PK game: Find out all the words about the feelings or emotions.

1.Listen and number.

2.Match the answers with the questions.

-Are you feeling sad? -Yes, I am.

-What's the matter, Lingling? -My grandma is ill in hospital.

-How's your grandma now? -She's better now.

-Is she feeling angry? -No, she isn't.

-Do you miss your friends? - No, I don't.

3.Look and say, then ask and answer.

(Look at the pictures and describe the feelings.)Play a guessing game.

T chooses a picture and cover it, ss guess:

-Are you feeling ...? - Yes, I am./ No, Km not.

Step 4 Extension: Emotion managementWhat will you do when you're feeling sad/bored/angry?

1.Some suggestions for you:

When you/re feeling sad/bored/angry, you can eat delicious food/listen to music/ talk to friends or family/ do some sports/ sleep/ sing and dance / watch TV of movies ...

2.Share a book: All kinds of feelingsStep 5 Emotional education

T: Everyone has feelings. Feelings can be different from day to day. It's normal to feel strongly. It's OK to trust your feelings. It's Ok to show your feelings. It/s good to talk about your feelings to friends and family. Choose a proper way to adjust your feelings, try to make yourselves happy and cheerful.
