Unit 1 My summer holiday
Hello, everyone! My name is Lucy. I want to share with you my exciting summer holiday.
During the summer holiday, my parents took me to visit my grandparents who live in a small village in the countryside. I was so happy to see them because I hadn't visited them for a long time.
Every morning, I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the fresh smell of nature. My grandparents have a beautiful garden where I would help them water the plants and pick fresh fruits and vegetables. I love the feeling of being close to nature and breathing in the fresh air.
In the afternoons, my grandparents would take me to explore the village. We would walk along the winding paths and visit the local market to buy fresh produce. I loved trying new fruits and snacks that I had never seen before. My favorite was
the sweet and juicy watermelon that we would enjoy under the shade of a big tree.
One day, my grandparents surprised me by taking me to a nearby river for a picnic. We packed delicious sandwiches, fruits, and drinks. I had so much fun playing in the water, skipping rocks, and watching the colorful fish swim by. It was a perfect day filled with laughter and joy.
In the evenings, we would sit outside and watch the sunset. The sky would turn a beautiful shade of pink and orange, and the stars would come out one by one. My grandparents would tell me stories about their childhood and the history of the village. I felt so lucky to have such loving and caring grandparents.
As the summer holiday came to an end, I felt sad to leave the village and my grandparents. But I knew that I would always cherish the memories of this special time we spent together.

Unit 1 My school life
My name is Lily. I am a sixth-grade student in Shaanxi Tourism Elementary School. In this unit, we learned about school life and the activities we do at school. I would like to share my school life with you.
On weekdays, I usually get up at 6:30 in the morning. After washing up, I have breakfast with my family. My favorite breakfast is milk and toast. Then I pack my school bag and head to school. School starts at 8:00.
In the morning, we have four classes. We study English, Math, Chinese, and Science. English is my favorite subject because I find it interesting and I have a good teacher. Math is a bit challenging for me, but I try my best to understand it. After the morning classes, we have a one-hour break for lunch.
During the break, I usually have lunch with my friends. We chat and share snacks with each other. After lunch, we have three more classes in the afternoon. We study P.E, Music, and Arts. I love P.E. class because we have so much fun playing games and sports. Music and Arts are also enjoyable classes for me because I like singing and painting.
After school, I go home and have a snack. Then I do my homework and review what I learned in class. Sometimes, I have
to study for tests or finish projects. It can be stressful, but I know it's important to do well in school.
On weekends, I like to relax and have fun with my family. We go to the park, watch movies, or have a picnic. I also like to read books and play games with my friends. It's a great way to recharge and get ready for the next school week.
Overall, I enjoy my school life. I have great teachers, supportive friends, and interesting subjects to study. I learn new things every day and I feel proud of my achievements. I hope to continue working hard and making the most of my school life.

Unit 1 My Day
Today is a beautiful day. I wake up early in the morning and have a healthy breakfast. Then I brush my teeth and wash my face.
After breakfast, I go to school with my friends. We walk to school together and talk about our plans for the day. When we arrive at school, we have our first class which is English. In English class, we learn new words and practice speaking in English.
After English class, we have a math class. Math is my favorite subject because I am good at numbers. I listen carefully to the teacher and solve math problems quickly.
During the lunch break, I eat my homemade lunch with my friends. We share our food and have a great time together. After lunch, we have two more classes before school ends.
When school is over, I go to my English tuition class. I want to improve my English skills so I can speak fluently. The teacher in tuition class helps me a lot and gives me homework to do.
In the evening, I have dinner with my family. We talk about our day and share our experiences. After dinner, I do my homework and practice speaking in English.
Before going to bed, I read a book for 15 minutes. Reading helps me relax and fall asleep quickly. Finally, I brush my teeth and wash my face before going to bed.
I had a busy but productive day. I learned a lot at school and tuition class. I also spent quality time with my family and friends.
I can't wait for tomorrow to start a new day full of learning and fun.。
