【语法小结】在英语中,对进行比较时,用形容词的比较级。

1.形容词比较级的构成:单音节和少数双音节形容词,通常在词尾加“er”
构成比较级。

具体变化规则如下:
(1)一般在词尾加-er,如:tall; long 等
(2)以不发音的字母e的单词直接加r, 如:nice; fine
(3)以一个元音字母加一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节单词,先双写辅音字母,在加- er如:big , fat ,hot ,wet, thin
(4)以“辅音字母+y”结尾的形容词,先变y为i,再加-er.
如:busy--busier , easy--easier , heavy--heavier
2.基本句型:(1)将两者作某一方面的比较时,句型为:
A + be + 形容词比较级+than +
B ,表示“A比B更……”
(2)进行选择性比较时,可用“Which/Who +be+形容词比较级,A or B?”表示A和B中,哪一个/谁更……?”
