Hi everyone! Today I want to tell you about a super cool event that happened to me in the eighth grade. It was the fifth unit in our English textbook and we were learning all about different cultures and traditions around the world.
One day, our English teacher announced that we were going to have an international cultural exchange day at school. We were all super excited because it meant we could learn about different countries and try out some fun activities.

It was such a fun and memorable event that I will never forget. I made new friends, tried new things, and most importantly, learned to appreciate and respect different cultures.

"Yo yo yo, guess what happened in our English class the other day? It was LIT! Let me tell you all about it!
So, Mrs. Smith, our English teacher, told the class that we were going to have a debate on the topic of climate change. We were all excited, but also nervous because we had never done a debate before. Mrs. Smith divided us into two teams - Team Pro and Team Con. I was in Team Con, which meant we had to argue against the idea that climate change is a serious problem.
The debate was intense, y'all! Each team had to present their arguments and counter-arguments, and we had to think on our feet and come up with strong points to support our side. It was like a battle of words! I was so nervous, but also super pumped to speak up and defend my team's position.
In the end, Team Pro won the debate, but that didn't matter. What mattered was that we all learned so much from preparing and participating in the debate. We learned how to research, how to organize our thoughts, and how to speak confidently in front of our classmates.
