对待历史的正确态度英文作文
第一篇
Remember history, but forget hatred.
There goes a very famous proverb:”Take copper as a mirror, I can tidy up my clothes; take people as a mirror, I will know what I do is right or not; take history as a mirror, I will know how the things rise and fall.”it tells us an obvious truth-remember our history and learn a lesson.
As for me, history can be divided into two parts: wonderful history and miserable history. As to the former, such as the history of Confucius, the history of the Four Inventions, and the history of many heroes and so on, we should do our best to remember firmly and never forget it. But as to the later, such as the Opium War, the Banking Massacre and so on, what shall we do? Shall we remember it forever, or shall we forget it right now? Neither! We should remember the lesson of miserable history, but forget the resentment of it.
Remember the past and it will guild your future. For the wonderful history, we can continue to develop and benefit next generation. For the miserable history, we must learn a lesson. Taking the Banking Massacre for example, the Chinese people should strengthen ourselves and make us more powerful; but the Japanese should not visit to the Sukiyaki war shrine and give a sincere apology to Chinese people. And they both
should learn to cherish the hard-earned peace and show respect for our lives.
However, bearing history in mind does no mean remembering hatred. After all, what’s past is past; we should look to the future. Hatred can not solve the present problems, only by facing history squarely and self-examining history objectively can we hope to build up a good relationship and improve together. So for the Japanese, we only need an apology and a right attitude.
All in all, we should learn from our history and forget the unpleasant parts. Just as a saying goes”remember what should be remembered and forget what should be forgotten‘’..
第二篇
History is the past. We have long forgotten the enmity brought by history, but we must not forget its lessons. In the face of history, we must face it squarely, correct it if there is one, and encourage it if there is none.
We must not forget the painful lessons of the Nanjing Massacre, where the bloody figure of 300,000 still stands today. We can not forget the child in the subway station, in the sound of the shells, he cried in silence, his voice has become hoarse. This is only a child not a few years old! Looking at his lonely and helpless eyes, we felt the pain of the broken family. The Japanese missiles dropped one by one and the
Chinese people fell down one by one. In the sound of shelling and bombardment, we felt a deep sadness. Lag behind, will be beaten.
Today, the economy of our country is increasingly prosperous, and the strength of our country is increasingly powerful. But we never forget history. Now, in the face of painful history, all we want is a trivial word of apology. But in the face of our small request, Japan, or refused.
Think of the humane kneel of German Chancellor Wilhelm Brandt in Poland, when he looked history squarely in the face and silently knelt in front of thousands of Polish people at the Tomb of the Unknowns and the Memorial to the Jewish martyrs. He is repenting for the atrocities committed by the Nazi Party in Germany and mourning for all those who lost their lives in the struggle against fascism. He faced up to the mistakes made by Germany in the long course of history, and took his due responsibility for this mistake.
Japan, on the other hand, did not mention his crimes, maybe he did, with the beautification of the wreath, they revised the textbooks, beautify all the Japanese who committed hideous crimes on the land of China, they refused to admit their crimes, and told a big lie. They dare not face up to the mistakes of the history put down, but also step by step to hurt the Chinese people who experienced the trauma of fascism. All we want is a sincere apology, and Japan, time and again, evades history.
Instead of facing up to history, Japan "corrected" it again and again on the anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Fascist War. Japanese prime minister publicly visited the Sukiyaki Shrine, which buried in the sukiyaki Shrine, every one of them is a war criminal in the anti-fascist war, every one of their hands, are stained with the blood of countless Chinese. The Japanese Prime minister's approach is undoubtedly to salt the wounds of the Chinese people who have suffered from the disaster.
The hatred of history can be forgotten, but the lessons of history cannot be forgotten. We must face history squarely.。
