Language Points
1. What does he k like? 他长得什么样子？
1) like可以用作及物动词，意思为“喜欢”， 后面可以接名词或代词作宾语。 e.g. I like my family. 我喜欢我的家庭。 Do you like him? 你喜欢他吗？
2) 但在这个单元里like是介词，意思为“像”， “像……一样”。
2. ( B )Does Sally have long or short hair?
A. She has short hair. B. She has long hair. C. We don't know.
3. ( A )Is Peter short or tall?
A. He is short. B. He is tall. C. He is of medium height.
e.g. He is like his father. 他像他的父亲。 The clouds in the sky are like cotton. 天上的云彩像棉花。 look like 看起来像……
e.g. That man looks like a teacher. 那个人看起来像个老师。
2. I may be a little late. may是情态动词，may be意为“可能是，大概是”， 后接形容词、介词短语或名词作表语。 【拓展】maybe是副词，意为“也许，大概”。 What does he look like? What does/do+主语+look like?用来询问某人的外貌 特征，意思是“他长得怎么样？”。 look like意为“看起来像……”。

Role-play the conversation in 2d.
Mike: Hi, Tony. Are you going to the movie tonight? Tony: Yes. We’re meeting at seven, right? Mike: Yeah, but I may be a little late. My friend David is going, too. Just meet him in front of the cinema first. Tony: Oh, but I don’t know him. What does he look like? Mike: Well, he has brown hair and wears glasses. Tony: OK. Is he tall or short? Mike: He isn’t tall or short. He’s of medium height. Tony: OK, sure. See you later then.
