译林英语四下教案Unit 2 After school 第一课时
Unit 2 After school
Lesson 1
Objectives:
To identify and use the vocabulary related to after-school activities
To understand and use the present continuous tense to talk about what people are doing right now
To develop students’ listening and speaking skills
Materials required:
Textbook, pictures of after-school activities, equipment for the games suggested in this lesson
Warm-up (5 minutes)
Start the lesson by asking students what they usually do after school. Write some of their answers on the board to get an idea of the different activities students engage in. Then ask them to guess what they will learn in today’s lesson.
Presentation (20 minutes)
Introduce the vocabulary related to after-school activities. Show pictures of students doing different activities such as playing soccer, dancing, swimming, etc. and ask students to identify them. Write the names of the activities on the board and elicit sentences about them
such as “I’m playing soccer,”“She’s dancing,”“He’s swimming,” etc. Emphasize the use of the present continuous tense to talk about what people are doing right now.
Practice (20 minutes)
Divide students into pairs and ask them to take turns asking and answering questions about what they and their partner are doing right now. For example:
Student 1: What are you doing right now?
Student 2: I’m reading a book. What about you?
Student 1: I’m playing video games.
After they finish, ask a few pairs to share what they learned about each other.
Production (20 minutes)
Ask students to choose one after-school activity they like and prepare a short presentation about it. They can use pictures, videos, props, or any other materials they want. After they finish, ask the audience to ask questions about the activity.
Alternatively, you can divide students into groups and ask them to create a game related to after-school activities. For example, they can create a board game where players move around the board to different after-school activities or a card game where they have to match pictures of activities with their names.
Wrap-up (5 minutes)
Summarize the main points of the lesson and ask students to share one thing they learned today. También se puede pedir a los estudiantes que escriban en un papel lo que aprendieron y lo coloquen en una caja para que el profesor los lea en la próxima clase.
Assessment:
Observation of students during practice and production activities
Evaluation of students' presentations and games
Review of students' responses to the warm-up and wrap-up questions.。
