存在句( There There be…)表示某时、某地有某人或某物.

存在句的否定式与问句表达方式
•存在句的否定式即在be动词后加Not． •存在句的一般疑问句变化只需要把动词be放在句子的开头，再将标点
变换成问号即可． eg: Is there any water in your thermos bottle?
•存在句型的特殊疑问句有两种情况，但无论原句的主语是单数还是复
数，特殊疑问句的谓语动词一般都用动词be的单数形式． １) 当主语是人时，用疑问词who提问 eg: --There are many children on the stage. --who’s there on the stage? 2) 当主语是物时，用what提问 eg: --There are some cups on the table. --What’s there on the table?

• There is no+动名词：这种结构表示“不可能，无法”，相当于“It is important to do…”结构．这种结构中的动名词起主语作用． eg: There is no jokong about it. 这种事开不得玩笑． • There is no point/sense/use/good(in)+动名词:这种结构意为“…是没有 意义（用处／益处）的”。 eg: There is no point (in) making the same suggestion 提出相同的建议是无意义的． There is no use (in) teying to stop him. 想阻止他是没有用的．
