The first time I saw Kai, she was sitting in my front yard,hugging my dog Harley. She and her husband Sean had just moved into a small house down the road from us. I think that she was drawn (被吸引) to Harley’s friendly character, just as he was drawn to hers. From the second I talked to her, I knew Kai would be a good friend. The Dunhuang Academy (研究院) used AI (人工智能) technology to work with a big Chinese technology company Huawei. They started a new way to show the Mogao Grottoes (莫高窟) in Gansu Province. Huawei’s new AI platform (平台)—Hetu is connected with Digital (数字化的) Dunhuang. It can offer visitors a 360-degree virtual (虚拟的) tour of the Mogao Grottoes by using phones.
