My trip to Chengde was absolutely amazing. The city is rich in history and culture, and I was blown away by the beautiful scenery and architecture.
The highlight of my trip was definitely the Chengde Mountain Resort. The vast gardens, stunning lakes, and intricate pavilions left me in awe. It was a peaceful and serene place to explore, and I could have spent hours wandering around and taking in the beauty.
I also had the chance to visit the Putuo Zongcheng Temple, which is often referred to as the "Little Potala Palace" due to its resemblance to the famous palace in Tibet. The temple was breathtaking, and I was fascinated by the intricate details and vibrant colors of the architecture.
One of the most memorable experiences for me was trying the local cuisine. I indulged in traditional dishes like
Pao Cai, a type of pickled vegetable, and the famous Chengde lamb hot pot. The flavors were unlike anything I had ever tasted before, and I loved every bite.
Exploring the city on foot was also a great way to soak up the atmosphere. The bustling markets, colorful street vendors, and friendly locals made me feel like I was truly experiencing the heart of Chengde.
