As a high school student, I have always been fascinated by the idea of becoming a special forces soldier. The idea
of being part of an elite team, undergoing intense training, and being able to handle dangerous and challenging
situations has always appealed to me. Special forces
soldiers are known for their exceptional physical and
mental strength, as well as their ability to adapt to any situation.
One of the reasons I am drawn to this career is the sense of purpose and fulfillment that comes with it.
Special forces soldiers are often called upon to carry out missions that are crucial to national security, and being able to contribute to something larger than oneself is incredibly rewarding. For example, the Navy SEALs, one of the most well-known special forces units, are often tasked with high-stakes rescue missions, such as the operation to
rescue Captain Phillips from Somali pirates in 2009. The ability to make a real difference in the world is something that I find incredibly appealing.
Another aspect of being a special forces soldier that I find intriguing is the level of training and skill required. Special forces undergo some of the most rigorous and demanding training in the military, and the level of
physical and mental toughness required is immense. For example, the training to become a member of the British Special Air Service (SAS) is known for its grueling nature, including long marches with heavy packs and intense
survival exercises. The idea of pushing myself to the limit and surpassing my own expectations is something that
excites me.
