Words (eye, nose, mouth, ear, hair) and pattern ( He/ She has….) Students can be more familiar with the body parts and the five sense organs. Students are able to guess and order the story by “picture walk〞. Students’ awareness of body traffic light area can be aroused and learn to protect themselves well.
Teaching Key Points & Difficulty
Teaching key points: words(eye, nose, mouth, ear, hair) and pattern ( He / She has….).
Difficulty: How to help students use the pattern “He/She has... .〞with numbers to describe others.

Teaching Procedures
Step1. Warmer
Greetings
(T: Class begins! Good morning, boys and girls! How are you? How is the weather today?)
Divide students into groups of four: hand, head, arm and leg.
(Guide students to read out their group slogans one by one loudly. They can read out like “Head, head, I have one head. 〞)
Let’s sing and dance: I have one head.
Step2. Revision &leadin
1. Bomb game: flash the cards of head, hand, arm and so on twice. ( the bomb is head or nose)
Game: “Zuzu says… .〞Four students are invited to the front to play the game.
(T: Hello, every one! I am Zuzu. Here’s the game time. Please listen carefully. I say “Zuzu says ‘I have two arms’.〞and you should touch your arms as quickly as you can. Or I say “ I have two arms〞only you should stand up straight and keep silent. Remember to be careful!)
Then change the body parts to practice more till students get familiar with their body parts.
Guessing game
Teach the word “has〞.
(T:I have a friend. She is a girl. She has one head. She has one mouth….) In this step students are asked to read after the teacher and guess who the
girl is.
Then invite one student to the front to be little teacher and stick the organs to the boy’s head and others follow the little teacher and guess who he is. Then
Step3. Presentation
Picture walk: talk about the picture
(T:Who can you see in picture one? What is Harry doing? Jack has one nose, two eyes and … .)
Present hair to students and students distinguish long and short at the same time.
Listen and order
(T: Let’s listen and order one to four.)
Listen and choose: Jack has _____ hair. A. long B: short
Let’s read: listen, point and follow. / groups petition.
Retell the story
Step4. Practice
Guessing game
When the words are presented, different ways(like whole class read, groups read, loud and low voice, slap the cards) would be shown to make students practice the words.
Story 2
Picture walk
(T: Who can you see in the pictures? What are they doing? Who is Henry drawing? What body parts can you see in the drawing?)(The four pictures on activity②will be presented on the PPT. The teacher guide students to walk on the story picture by picture.)

Step4. Production
Listen and guess.
Students listen and guess which character on the screen the teacher is describing.
Invite one to two students to describe the characters and others guess. Teacher describes one of students and students try to find out and then students guess.
Group work
The teacher introduce Zuzu to students with “This is our〔我们的〕friend. She is a monkey. She has one head, one nose, two ears, two eyes and one mouth. She can play the piano and do magic . She can‘t ride a bike. Students enjoy the demo video.
Each group would receive one picture of their friends given by their teacher and discuss in groups of four about their mon friend’s character and abilities/ disabilities.
Step5. Summary
What have we learnt today?
(T: Today we learnt some more body parts. They are nose, mouth, ear and eye. Can you describe Jack? He has ….)
Enjoy a video about “ body traffic light area〞
