【例】—Where’s your pen pal from ? 你的笔友来自哪里?—He’s from Australia. 他来自澳大利亚。

be from=come from “来自……”,“从……来”,表示某人来自某一个地方。

但be是系动词,come是实意动词,两个短语的否定和疑问形式不同。

介词from后接地点。

【例】He is from Chi na. →He isn’t from China.→ Is he from China?He comes from China. →He doesn’t come from China.→Does he come from China?【链接】where的疑问句【例】—Where does he live ? 他住在哪里?—He lives in Tokyo. 他住东京。

(1) 这是由特殊疑问词where引导的一个特殊疑问句,是用来询问某人/某地所在的地方。

(2) 答句中的主语要和问句的主语保持人称和数的一致。

主语是第三人称单数形式用does,若是复数形式或是第二人称则用do。

但不管用do或does,其后的动词live用原形。

2. live 的用法。

【例】—Where does he live ?—He lives in Paris.(1) live vi.“居住”,“生活”。

与介词in连用,后面接地点名词,与副词连用不接介词in.例如:He lives in Beijing. 他住在北京。

I have lived here for ten years. 我在这儿住十年了。

(2) 当其做vt.用时,意为“过……样的生活”例如:We live a happy life. 我们过着幸福的生活。

3. speak 的用法。

【例】—What language does she speak ? 她讲什么语言?—She speaks English. 她讲英语。
