高三英语阅读理解(人生百味)解题技巧(超强)及练习题(含答案)及解析
一、高中英语阅读理解人生百味类
1.阅读理解
There are lots of ways to educate yourself on the Internet. You can find photos, documents, and films on almost any topic you can imagine. And at , you can access lectures by artists, scholars, designers, technicians and others.
TED began in 1984 as a conference that brought together individuals from the fields of technology, entertainment and design. It was intended to be a one-time event focusing on technology and design. The event ended up losing money, and it was six years before the founders tried it again. This time it worked, and since 1990, the TED conference has been an annual event. There are now two held every year, with topics as diverse as music, medicine, and money. Other specialized spin-off conferences address narrower issues.
The TED website came from a desire to share the conferences with the world, to "offer free knowledge from the world's most inspired thinkers," as the website puts it. The current version of the site was launched in April 2007, and contains videos of talks given at the TED conferences around the world. The talks are transcribed into hundreds of languages.
The TED website is owned by the Sapling Foundation, a non profit devoted to fostering the spread of great ideas. The Sapling foundation acquired TED in 2001. Since then, it has been focusing on using TED to broadcast ideas that might change the world.
TED, of course, isn't immune to criticism. It's been called elitist(精英) for its high ticket prices (more than 6,000 dollars total). It's been accused by a few people of censorship for not publishing their talks. One controversial speaker was upset about being criticized by the conference's host afterward.
The complaints, however, seem to be relatively few for such a large, long-running organization. And accusations of elitism ring hollow when so much is given away for free on TED's website. Whatever its failings, TED is a source of inspirational information for those who seek it out.
(1)What is the main topic of the article?
A.The case against TED
B.What's on TED today.
C.Pros and cons of .
D.What is TED
(2)Which of the following statements is NOT true?
A.The TED conference came after the success of .
B.Two TED conferences are now held every year.
C.TED talks are available in many languages.
D.The Sapling Foundation owns .
(3)From the last two paragraphs, we can infer that ________.
A.it is accepted to all involved that some TED talks might not be published
B.the host of the conference is one who plays a supportive role to the speakers
C.TED is criticized for giving special treatment to the wealthy or powerful
D.the negative comments on TED greatly affects its reputation
(4)This author probably believes that________.
A.TED is elitist
B.TED is beneficial
C.TED isn't important
D.TED is the best website
【答案】(1)D
(2)A
(3)C
(4)B
【解析】【分析】本文是一篇说明文,介绍了TED以及它的历史发展。

(1)考查主旨大意。

根据第一段中的“And at , you can acce ss lectures by artists, scholars, designers, technicians and others.”在,你可以访问艺术家、学者、设计师、技术人员和其他人的演讲。

以及以下几个段落的内容,可知这篇文章的主题是“TED 是什么”,故选D。

(2)考查细节理解。

根据第三段中的“The TED website came from a desire to share the conferences with the world, to ‘offer free knowledge from the world's most inspired thinkers,’ as the website puts it.”TED网站源于一种与世界分享会议的愿望,用网站的话说,就是“向世界上最有灵感的思想家们提供免费的知识”。

可知,“TED大会是在网站成功之后召开的”这种表述错误,故选A。

(3)考查推理判断。

根据倒数第二段中的“TED, of course, isn't immune to criticism. It's been called elitist(精英) for its high ticket prices.”当然,TED也免不了受到批评。

它因其高昂的票价被称为精英主义;以及最后一段中的“And accusations of elitism ring hollow when so much is given away for free on TED's website.”而当这么多东西在泰德的网站上免费赠送时,精英主义的指责就显得空洞了。

可推断出,TED因给予富人或有权势的人特殊待遇而受到批评,故选C。

(4)考查推理判断。

根据最后一段中的“Whatever its failings, TED is a source of inspirational information for those who seek it out.”不管它的缺点是什么,TED都是那些寻找它的人鼓舞人心的信息来源。

可推断出,这位作者可能认为TED是有益的,故选B。

Give yourself a test. Which way is the wind blowing? How many kinds of wildflowers can be seen from your front door? If your awareness is as sharp as it could be, you'll have no trouble answering these questions.
Most of us observed much more as children than we do as adults. A child's day is filled with fascination, newness and wonder. Curiosity gave us all a natural awareness. But distinctions that were sharp to us as children become unclear; we are numb(麻木的) to new stimulation(刺激), new ideas. Relearning the art of seeing the world around us is quite simple, although it takes practice and requires breaking some bad habits.
The first step in awakening senses is to stop predicting what we are going to see and feel before it occurs. This blocks awareness. One chilly night when I was hiking in the Rocky Mountains with some students, I mentioned that we were going to cross a mountain stream. The students began complaining about how cold it would be. We reached the stream, and they unwillingly walked ahead. They were almost knee-deep when they realized it was a hot spring. Later they all admitted they'd felt cold water at first.
Another block to awareness is the obsession(痴迷) many of us have with naming things. I saw bird watchers who spotted a bird, immediately looked it up in field guides, and said, a "ruby-crowned kinglet" and checked it off. They no longer paid attention to the bird and never learned what it was doing.
The pressures of "time" and "destination"(目的地)are further blocks to awareness. I encountered many hikers who were headed to a distant camp-ground with just enough time to get there before dark. It seldom occurred to them to wander a bit, to take a moment to see what's around them. I asked them what they'd seen. "Oh, a few birds," they said. They seemed bent on their destinations.
Nature seems to unfold to people who watch and wait. Next time you take a walk, no matter where it is, take in all the sights, sounds and sensations(感觉). Wander in this frame of mind and you will open a new dimension to your life.
(1)What idea does the author convey in Paragraph 3?
A.To avoid jumping to conclusions.
B.To stop complaining all the time.
C.To follow the teacher's advice.
D.To admit mistakes honestly.
(2)The bird watchers' behavior shows that they __________.
A.are very patient in their observation
B.are really fascinated by nature
C.care only about the names of birds
D.question the accuracy of the field guides
(3)Why do the hikers take no notice of the surroundings during the journey?
A.The natural beauty isn't attractive to them.
B.They focus on arriving at the camp in time.
C.The forest in the dark is dangerous for them.
D.They are keen to see rare birds at the destination.
(4)In the passage, the author intends to tell us we should __________.
e our senses to feel the wonders of the world
B.get rid of some bad habits in our daily life
C.open our mind to new things and ideas
D.try our best to protect nature
【答案】(1)A
(2)C
(3)B
(4)A

4.阅读理解
A hospital has been forced to ban Pokemon Go players from the site after a monster hub(妖怪枢纽站) was found in the A&E department. Royal Stoke University Hospital discovered that its casualty unit(急诊室) is on the same spot as a Pokemon Go 'gym' —— where players can train their newly caught Nintendo creatures.
The University Hospitals of North Midlands Trust agreed last week that patients can play Pokemon Go on wards because walking around is healthy. But the Trust has been forced to post a warning on its website about public access to A&E. It said if Pokemon Go becomes a major annoyance it would ask Nintendo——which decides on the locations of the virtual gyms according to GPS——to have it removed from the premises(道馆).
Kevin Parker, associate chief nurse, said, "Members of the public who do not need to be at Royal Stoke should not attempt to enter A&E or any other part of the hospital building to play the game. The A&E department is incredibly busy this summer. We want the public to understand that anybody who visits the hospital solely to play the game will provide an unwanted distraction to the important work of the hospital. I'm also aware of various reports in the media of unsafe areas that the game has been played in."
“Royal Stoke University Hospital is a safe area where gamers can enjoy Pokemon Go." Michelle Harris, the Trust's manager, said the game could still be played by those already in hospital. "We recognize that the Pokemon Go game encourages walking and exercise, which is something that the Trust is equally keen to promote," she said.
There are a number of "walking routes" established throughout the Trust that can be used to combine walking and playing the game. "Walking just 30 minutes, five times a week, can help reduce the risk of preventable illnesses such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease."
There have been several warnings about the game since its UK release. Last week a group of teenagers in Wiltshire were left stranded almost 100ft underground after they got carried away searching for Pokemon Go characters. The four boys, aged 16 and 17, ended up getting lost and had to wait to get a phone signal before they could call for help. Eventually, they contacted Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue team, who took them to safety. Damien Bence, of the fire and rescue team, said: "Pokemon Go is obviously leading people into dangerous situations."(1)It seems that Pokemon Go is a game______.
A. designed to help patients in hospital recover sooner
B. helping cure such diseases as obesity, diabetes and heart disease
C. encouraging players to walk and exercise instead of staying indoors
D. warning teenagers of the places easy to get lost or attacked
(2)The A&E department is incredibly busy because________.
A. more patients' arrival increases the workload of the A&E department
B. doctors' playing the game makes the A&E department less efficient
C. players' injury increases the workload of the A&E department
D. players' arrival disturbs the work of the A&E department
(3)The underlined word in the last paragraph probably means_______.
A. hurt
B. disturbed
C. trapped
D. threatened
(4)The passage is mainly about________.
A. the negative effects of Pokemon Go since its UK release

D. the establishment of Pokemon Go virtual gyms since its UK release

5.阅读理解
On Thursday night my two adult children took us out to dinner as our daughter lives in Bathurst and she will be there for Father's Day with her husband's side of the family. Two of our grandchildren were able to join us.
Having pre-celebrated my Father's Day and it being on our minds, my wife asked this question only this morning:
"Do you remember anything about your father?"
While this subject had come up before, however, the question had not been put so bluntly(直率的). I answered "No. My only memory is of the few photos outside." You see, my father died when I was only four years old.
Many people have lost their father early in life and it is easy to feel somewhat sorry for having to deal with such a situation, especially when the death has occurred when you are at an early age. On reflection, I think I do not remember anything because he passed away when he was a member of the Royal Australian Air Force. He was a Corporal(下士) doing land based duties, however, a medical condition took his life. It was 1942.
The 2nd World War was in full battle and Australia was being attacked. My Mum and I with my younger brother, were living with my grandparents and I can only imagine the emotional circumstances that existed in the household at that time. Probably not something that would leave a memory.
What I would like to say at this time, as the question is often asked, "What did you learn from your father?" The thing I learnt from his passing, at the age of 28, is a love of life. What I do remember is growing up wondering if I would live to his age, and after I did, thinking each year the bonus(津贴) of life I had been blessed with when compared to my father.
I have sometimes felt disappointment in not knowing my father but life has moved on. However, can I say to those who do have fathers, celebrate today with him and return him all the love and happiness he has given to you.
(1)Why did the author answered "No" in Para 4?
A.He didn't want to talk about his father.
B.His father died when he was very young.
C.He was much disappointed in his father.
D.There was no photo of his father left.
(2)What do we know about the author?
A.He is the only child of his parents.
B.His father died of a medical condition.
C.He remembered quite a lot about his father.
D.He lived with his parents during World War II.
(3)The father's passing makes the author____.
A.realize the love of his own life.
B.hope to live longer than his father.
C.feel very disappointed all the time.
D.want to get more bonus from life.
(4)What is the author mainly talking about in this passage?
A.His father's life.
B.His Father's Day.
C.His fatherless childhood.
D.His father's influence.
【答案】(1)B
(2)B
(3)A

6.阅读理解
How do you notice a child genius (天才)? Gifted children tend to share three characteristics.
First, they develop skills at a very young age. Mozart began composing music when he was just five years old.
Second, they are self-starters. Srinivasa Ramanujan was building complex formula (公式) before he'd even been taught basic mathematics.
Third, gifted children can be crazy about their interests. For William James Sidis, a writer, had collected hundreds of street car models and had learned eight languages by the time he was eight. He was accepted at Harvard University at the age of 11.
They would all have been good members for Mensa, an international society for people with the highest IQs. Its youngest member is just two years old. But there can be disadvantages to being so clever. Members of American Mensa are three times more likely than the general public to suffer from allergies (过敏) or depression (抑郁), and they are almost six times more likely to struggle with anxiety.
These are just some of the physical and emotional problems that gifted children in particular may face.
Noticing those children is important, but many of them are being missed. To find out gifted children, you actually have to look for them in all places. The benefits can be huge when those "lost Einsteins" are found.
A study has been observing 5,000 gifted people since 1972. All of the children had test scores high enough to get into university when they were just 13. In adulthood, the first 1,650 people went on to publish 85 books, more than 7,500 articles. One-third of the group earned a doctor's degree that is 17 times the national average.
The founder of Google and Lady Gaga were discovered as gifted children. The child geniuses who could change tomorrow's world are already out there. But will we notice them?
(1)What do we know about William James Sidis?
A.He was only gifted in languages because he could speak 8 languages.
B.He was famous for collecting hundreds of street car models.
C.He was accepted at a top university at a young age.
D.He was a well-known musician.
(2)According to the passage, what do gifted children tend to do?
A.Develop all skills at five.
B.Teach themselves everything.
C.Put a lot of time and energy into their interests.
D.Be members of Mensa when they are 13 years old.
(3)What can we infer from the passage ?
A.All the gifted children struggle with physical and emotional problems.
B.On national average, about 32 out of 1650 can earn a doctor's degree.
C.All of the 5,000 gifted people got into university at 13.
D.Einstein was lost when he was young.
(4)What can be a suitable title for the text?
A.How to notice a child genius.
B.The Lost child geniuses.
C.The famous child geniuses.
D.The difficulties child geniuses may face.
【答案】(1)C
(2)C
(3)B

7.阅读理解
Robots have taken over many of America's factories. But can they pick a strawberry? "It's really hard for robots to match what humans can do," says Bob Pizter, an expert on robots.
Any 4-year-old kid can pick a strawberry, but machines can't seem to figure it out. Pizter says the hardest thing for them is finding the fruit. Pizter's strawberry-picking robot is rolling into a strawberry field. This well-designed device drives itself. It's as big as a bus, long enough to straddle (跨越) a dozen rows of strawberries at once. Powerful computers are sitting on top. Underneath, there are high-definition cameras to find the berries, and robotic claws ready to pick them.
"Nobody's telling it what to do," explains Paul Bissett, the chief operating officer of Harvest CROO Robotics. "It's remembering its path down the row. It's remembering where all these plants are." It knows all this, thanks to the super-accurate GPS. Its computer brain contains a map showing the locations of every strawberry plant in the field. The action of machinery is truly impressive, but the baskets are still practically empty. Pitzer says the robots are able to find and pick more than 50 percent of ripe berries. That's not yet up to human standards. A typical worker, he says, manages to pick anywhere from 60 to 90 percent of the berries. Also, he admits, the machine is slower than human hands. On the other hand, it has some advantages. It can work right through the night. Two years later, he says, this machine will be in the fields working for real. "There are weaknesses to work out, but it's getting there. We're close." he says.
Strawberry companies are putting millions of dollars into this project. The reason, Gary Wishnatzki, the owner of Wish Farms says, is that it's getting more and more difficult to find enough people to pick his berries. "The fact of the matter is, if we don't solve the problem of this labor shortage with automation, the industry is facing a big challenge ahead. The price of fruit is going to be much higher," Jose Santos, the leader of the farm, says.
Jose is pretty convinced, though, that picking strawberries will always require people. The machines will break down, he points out. In fact, he's looking on the bright side. "You could afford to give people a day off if you have machines behind you,”" he says.
(1)According to the passage, the strawberry-picking robot __________.
A.can work extra hours
B.relies on GPS only to find berries
C.runs on petrol just like a bus
D.picks both ripe and unripe berries
(2)What do people mentioned in the passage think of the strawberry-picking robot?
A.It will lead to the price of strawberries rising.
B.It keeps human workers working through night.
C.It is not very efficient at the moment but promising.
D.It will completely take the place of human workers.
(3)We know from the article that __________.
A.robots have been widely used in farming
B.it seems hard for robots to exactly locate strawberries now
C.robots can surely perform any work better than human workers
D.with the help of robots, strawberry companies have already earned much
(4)What does the passage mainly talk about?
A.The working principle of strawberry-picking robots.
B.Farmers' expectations for strawberry-picking robots.
C.The present state of strawberry-picking robots.
D.The differences between humans and strawberry-picking robots.
【答案】(1)A

根据第三段中的“Pitzer says the robots are able to find and pick more than 50 percent of ripe berries. That's not yet up to human standards. A typical worker, he says, manages to pick anywhere from 60 to 90 percent of the berries. Also, he admits, the machine is slower than human hands.”可知,摘草莓的机器人比人手慢,没有达到人类采摘草莓的标准。

由此可以推知,它效率不高;以及“On the other hand, it has some advantages. It can work right through the night. Two years later, he says, this machine will be in the fields working for real. ‘There are weaknesses to work out, but it's getting there. We're close.’ he says.”可知,这种机器人有弱点需要克服,但这些弱点很快就会被克服。

这种机器人非常有前景。

两年之后,就会被投入使用。

我们离此目标不远了。

可推知选C。

(3)考查推理判断。

根据第三段中的“‘It's remembering its path down the row. It's remembering where all these plants are.’ It knows all this, thanks to the super-accurate GPS. Its computer brain contains a map showing the locations of every strawberry plant in the field. The action of machinery is truly impressive, but the baskets are still practically empty. Pitzer says the robots are able to find and pick more than 50 percent of ripe berries. That's not yet up to human standards.”由于超级精确的GPS,机器人知道所有草莓的位置。

机器的作用确实令人印象深。
