Step 1:Warming up
Review the text in Unit 1 by asking some questions.
1)What day is it today?
2)What time is it now?
3)What lessons do you have today?
4)When is your maths lesson?
5)When is your Chinese lesson?
6)Which lesson do you like best?
7)What do you do at twenty past six in the evening?
Step 2:Pre-reading
1.Show some pictures of the activities in a day,ask the students to look at the pictures,then talk something about the pictures.
eg:get up 7:00 have breakfast 7:30
2.Have the students watch the pictures and learn the phrases:get up,have breakfast…
3.Show and teach the new words.
4.Explain the difficult new words.
5.Ask students to read the new words and phrases.
6.Teach them:
T:What do you do at half past seven?
Ss:I get up.
T:What do they do at half past seven?
Ss:They have breakfast.
Step 3:Reading
1.Play the recording and ask the students to listen to the tape carefully.
2.Have the students read the passage and put the pictures in order.
3.Ask the students to check with partners.
4.Call back the answers from the whole class and check the answers.

5.Play the tape,have the students listen and repeat and pay attention to the pause and intonation.
6.Let students read the passage,work in pairs and find out the difficulties in the passage,and offer help.
7.Explain the difficulties to the students.

1.Learn the new words by heart.
2.Read the passage in groups.
3.Finish off the workbook exercises.
