1.书面表达
第1题.
阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。

Mom and I stood in the hall, nose to nose. She looked very angry. "I think you'd better go to bed now," she said.
I'd had the worst day at junior high school. My best friend, Mary Ellen, decided to join forces with Regina. So there was no room for me at the lunch table. I had my lunch alone, in the library, pretending to be reading a book. Of course, this had nothing to do with my mom, except that I'd been rude to her that night. I'd just been hurt and Mom was the retaliation target(报复对象).
As I lay in bed, I replayed the day's events through my mind. Mom had baked cookies when I got home from school, and she also made some peanut butter.
"Couldn't you have made chocolate chips?" I said.
Mom looked up from the table where she helped my sister with her homework. "I could have," she said, "but I made peanut butter. Why don't you pour a glass of milk?" Then she smiled.
Later that night, when Mom pulled chicken from the oven, I balked(不乐意)again. I wanted hamburgers. "No one even likes that kind of chicken, Mom. Why didn't you make hamburgers?" Mom breathed deeply and ran her
fingers through her long hair. "I made chicken and I've never heard anyone complain about it before," she said.
And it went downhill from there. I complained until Mom lost her cool, and we had a quarrel in the hall.
I had hurt my mom and she would never forgive me. I knew that if I had come home and shared what had happened, Mom would have listened. She would have offered encouragement. Then she would have said something funny and we'd have ended up laughing, but I didn't do that.

Then I heard a strange sound from the kitchen, which sounded like the clank of dishes. A few minutes later, my bedroom door was open. Mom said softly, "Why don't you come down to the kitchen?" I followed her through the
bedroom and down to the hall. I was halfway to the kitchen when I smelled the hamburgers. The kitchen table was set for two. Mom bent to lift a plate of fries from the oven. She placed two burgers on our plates and sat down.
Paragraph 2:
"Mom, I've been awful to you today, and I'm sorry," I said. Mom looked at me and said, "You're in a tough spot. Halfway to being an adult. Halfway from being a child. I remember those days." She smiled and tears filled her eyes. "And I forgive you." She put her hands on my shoulders. I took her hands, which were soft and comforting. Mom and I sat in the kitchen and ate hamburger.

第2题.

Everything about moving day was a puzzle. I didn't know anything about our new building on a new street. Our old life was broken into pieces and packed up in piled boxes. I wondered if it would ever fit back together again. Mom introduced me to our new neighbors, the Chens. Mrs. Chen worked with Mom at the job she'd just started. Mr. Chen was a famous craftsman(匠人)from China.
Mom said it was a fresh start, but it felt broken to me. I just wanted things to go back to how they had been before.
After the first day at my new school. I walked home alone. Mom had told me she had to work. I was still hoping she'd meet me after the bell. I had to open the door myself with the new key. I felt a bit hungry and went straight into the kitchen, ripping tape from the packed boxes while 1 searched for a clean plate. My fingers slipped, and something went crashing to the ground. "Benjamin! " cried Mom from the doorway. I didn't hear her come in. "What just broke? " she asked, kneeling to pick up the pieces. In her hands, I recognized the shattered pieces. It was Grandma's bowl. "I can't believe you broke this, " she said.
"Well, I can't believe we have to live here now! I can't believe I have to switch schools, and I can't believe you didn't even meet me after my first day! " I ran into my room, slamming the door behind me.
The broom swept across the kitchen floor. Then the click of Mom's bedroom door closed behind her. I sneaked out into the kitchen and found the fragments in the dustbin. There were so many pieces in here, but maybe 1 could put them back together. Turning the pieces, I tried to match them, but this bowl would never look the same again.
"I'm sorry I yelled, " said Mom, as she opened her door. "Please just throw out the pieces. We can't make a fresh start with broken things. "As I wandered down the hall, Mr. Chen was emptying his garbage

【答案】 "Are you sure you want to throw that out? " he asked. My throat twisted into a knot. "It's broken, " I murmured. "That's a simple repair. Come. " In their apartment, Mr. Chen spread the broken pieces out like a jigsaw puzzle. After finding each match, he taught me todelicately rebuild the bowl, filling in the crack lines with a special paint. Finally, the bowl was together again. I held it gently in the palm of my hand and admired it for long. Slightly different, it was as beautiful as before. I couldn't wait to show it to Mom and rushed back home.
I brought the repaired bowl into her room. Obviously, she was more than surprised to see the bowl again. "It's amazing! " she marveled, running her fingertip over the fixed cracks. "Mr. Chen helped me mend it. He is a superb craftsman. " I said with a grin. "Definitely. After being repaired, it looks much stronger than before. " said Mom, smiling radiantly. I sat on the edge of her bed, and Mom reached out to me. Our hands joined with crisscrossed fingers, and we both knew this was a new beginning.

Last year, I spent my holiday in an unfamiliar neighborhood in Lakewood, New Jersey. We rented a house so that some of our children and grandchildren could join us. Everyone in the area was super friendly, offering to come to introduce themselves to us and to ensure that we would make full use of their hospitality, whether to borrow something or to send the kids to play in their yards. We were excited and impressed and immediately began to see if there were any houses for sale in the neighborhood!
The next door to us was particularly fascinating(to visit not to buy). In the yard, there was a tennis court, a swing set and various toys and games that were particularly popular with young children. The owner was also very friendly and invited the kids to come over and play.
They didn't have to be asked twice. They played for hours on end. While we relaxed in our yard, perhaps a little too comfortable, perhaps enjoying each other's company a little too much, perhaps forgetting that young children can't be left too long without adults looking after them.
Apparently a small fight broke out between the boy of the next door and one of my five-year-old grandsons. My 10-year-old grandson immediately jumped to his cousin's defense and pushed the other boy. At this point, the mother next door was forced to intervene(调停).
And the neighbor came over to speak to us. Now when I try to imagine myself: in that position, I imagine all sorts of negative and aggressive ways to deal with it—I would have been very angry and complained about the bad behavior of these visiting children, and definitely sent them home.
【答案】
Paragraph 1: What she did was quite opposite. She was so kind, friendly and calm. She spoke of their great pleasure in sharing their backyard, and of the necessity of monitoring our children's behavior. She told her children we were all their guests and that we should be respected and given special treatment; otherwise, as hosts, they were to blame. After that, these children got along well as before. The kids were immediately brought home but the next day they were welcomed to play.
Paragraph 2: Honestly, I owed my thanks to the neighbor. Though her actions may seem small, they were big in our eyes. The neighbor not only let all the children keep happy but also taught me an unforgettable lesson in dealing with relationships. From her, I learned some good skills in getting
along with others. Small and kind actions can bring warmth to people. We should pass them on to our children and grandchildren.

The canteen was crowded with summer campers from high schools across the city, all extremely hungry after a day's activities. I spotted an empty place and walked there. Just as I put my tray(餐盘)down, I felt a bump against my hip. The tray dropped on the table and the soup spilled all over my camp shirt and jeans. And I heard a burst of laughter.
"Can't you look where you are going, you clumsy fool!" I shouted, glaring at the troublemaker, a tall boy with wild hair.
"Sorry! Can't help laughing! You look so funny!" said the boy, bending over with laughter. I was too annoyed to respond and just walked away to change my clothes.
The next morning, we all assembled for roll-call(点名), when I saw the same boy run out of the dorm, with his unbuttoned shirt flying behind him. Before he could slide into his place, he was spotted by the
Camp Commandant. As a punishment for being late, he was made to do a hundred push-ups. As I walked past him later, I let out a loud laugh. saying, "Sorry. I can't help laughing. You look so funny."
So the war of words continued in the following three days with the wild-haired boy, whose name, I found out, was Ben.
A mountain hike marked the last day of the camp. On the way back, I found myself left far behind my team. Soon, they were out of sight. The camp site was a long way away and I was getting anxious as night fell. I
risked taking a short-cut(近路)clinging to the mountain side, but suddenly, I tripped off the path and slid right down the slope(斜坡).
Fortunately, my fall was stopped by a bunch of bamboo. I saw I was about ten meters below the track. There was no way I could climb up the slope as evidently I had my ankle broken. After making several vain attempts, I
waited hopelessly. It got dark and I became increasingly afraid.

Then, I saw a faint light, and heard a voice calling out my name. ________
The next day, as we were boarding the buses which would take us back to our own homes, Ben came up to me. ________
【答案】
Then, I saw a faint light, and heard a voice calling out my name. I started screaming out loud for help, but my voice sounded so weak down from the
slope. Scared and exhausted, I couldn't help thinking that maybe the campers wouldn't find me and I would die alone in the mountain. Finally, I heard "There he is." I was saved, thank goodness! I told them that I had hurt my ankle, and they helped me slowly back to the camp. The next day I was going home for treatment.
The next day, as we were boarding the buses which would take us back to our own homes, Ben came up to me. He said, "This isn't funny at all. I hope you will get better soon." "Thank you. I hope we can be friends from now on."
I said. So the battle between me and the wild-haired boy was over, and Ben and I became good friends.

Balthazar is my pride. It is a French brasserie(啤酒店)in New York City. I have run it for almost twenty years. Though it is intended to attract people from all walks of life, most of its regular customers are those who work in the companies alongside Wall Street.
One night at Balthazar, four Wall Street businessmen ordered the restaurant's most expensive red wine: a 2,000 bottle of Chateau Mouton Rothschild, the most famous brand of Bordeaux(波尔多葡萄酒). One of the two waiters transferred the Bordeaux into a fancy glass container at the waiter's counter.
Meanwhile, a young couple ordered the restaurant's cheapest red wine, an 18 pinot noir(黑皮诺葡萄酒). Usually, people who ordered pinot noir poured the wine directly into their glasses, but this couple insisted the wine be poured into a fancy glass container before they drank.
These two very different wines were now in the same containers.
Mistaking the 18 wine for the 2,000 Rothschild, the first waiter poured the cheap wine for the businessmen. The businessman hosting the other three considered himself a wine expert. He took a taste of the cheap wine in the first place, and showing off, he burst into delight about its purity. "Fantastic!" he claimed.
The young couple, who ordered the 18 pinot noir, were then unintentionally served the 2,000 Rothschild by the second waiter. On taking their first drink of what they believed was cheap wine, they jokingly pretended to be drinking an expensive wine and copied all the behaviors of a wine expert, shaking the wine glasses, observing the liquid inside and tasting it slowly, totally fascinated.
Five minutes later, the two waiters discovered their error, and horrified, phoned me at home.

I rushed into my restaurant. ________
After comforting the waiters, I walked directly towards the businessmen with a 2,000 Rothschild. ________
【答案】
I rushed into my restaurant. The two parties were apparently enjoying their dinner time. The young couple were having so much fun pretending to be drinking an expensive wine, while the businessmen were also in a celebratory mood, mistakenly assuming they were tasting the most famous Bordeaux. Behind the counter stood the two waiters, close to tears. They felt guilty, wondering how they should smooth over their fault. Walking up to them, I patted their shoulders and said, "Take it easy, guys. It happens sometimes. But do remember this lesson."
After comforting the waiters, I walked directly towards the businessmen with a 2,000 Rothschild. I explained the whole thing and handed over the bottle to the businessmen with a sincerely apologetic smile. "I'm terribly sorry, sirs. I wish our mistake hadn't ruined your night." They looked astonished first, but then burst into laughter. Afterwards, I turned to the young couple and decided to tell the truth, but I hesitated, just smiling, "Have a good evening!" The couple felt amazed but good enough. Yes, when facing trouble, I believe honesty is always the best solution, which is the recipe for my successful management in the past twenty years.

An 80-year-old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45-year-old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow(乌鸦)perched on the tree near their window.
The father asked his son, "What is this?"
The son replied, "It is a crow."
After a few minutes, the father asked his son the second time, "What is this?"
The son said, "Father, I have just now told you. It is a crow!"
After a little while, the old father again asked his son the third time, "What is this?"
"It's a crow, a crow, a crow!" said the son loudly.
A little after, the father again asked his son the fourth time, "What is this?" This time the son was annoyed, shouting at his father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again? 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"
A little later, the father went to his room and came back with an old diary, which he had kept since his son was born. On opening a page, he asked his son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary, "Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel annoyed; I rather felt affection for my innocent child."

Paragraph 1:
After reading the diary, ________
Paragraph 2:
Feeling ashamed, the son got down on his knees before his father. ________
【答案】Paragraph 1:
After reading the diary, the son was filled with tears and began to reflect on the days when he used to sit together with his father. His father would
patiently answer the same question all 23 times without feeling annoyed while his father asked him the same question just four times! The son thought to himself: If I attain old age, how will my son look at me? Will he think of me as a burden? Will he shout at me because of my poor sight, poor hearing or poor understanding?
Paragraph 2:
Feeling ashamed, the son got down on his knees before his father. He made an apology to his father, begging his father to forgive him for his bad behavior. He said this aloud, "I promise to see you happy forever, Dad. It is you who have cared for me ever since I was a little child, showering your selfless affection on me. You worked hard to make money so that I could afford to go to university. I will serve you in the best way no matter how you behave."

Everyone in the seaside town knows that Fliss has a special bond with her dog Molly. They work together, live together, and play together. The Labrador (拉布拉多猎犬)is actually at Fliss's side all the time. If a person spent this much time with a friend, they would probably have fallen out by now, but the bond between Molly and her owner just gets stronger over time.
Fliss grew up in the city. In 2017, she moved to the seaside where she opened a bath and skincare shop. Upon arrival, she couldn't believe how much litter was left "senselessly" on the beach. In fact, she was shocked by the "unavoidable" amount of litter she found while taking Molly for walks. Being a person who cares a lot about her surroundings, Fliss decided that she had to do something about it before the tide carried the litter into the sea, threatening marine life.
One day, while collecting litter on the beach, Fliss saw Molly running towards her with an empty water bottle in her mouth. As Molly drew near, she dropped the bottle and set out to find other waste. This gave Fliss an idea: what if she could train Molly to find all those plastic bottles and bags, and make good use of them?
The training started and Fliss was surprised at how fast Molly learned. Before long, the clever girl would venture(冒险)to the seaside on her own and come home with her "prize". She had soon filled Fliss's house with pieces of rubbish from the local beach. At one point, Fliss's garage was 60% filled
with beach litter waiting to be distributed to local artists for use in their artwork.
When Fliss heard paws on the door the other day, she went to greet her good girl as usual. To her surprise, she saw Molly carrying a small plastic purse in her mouth. Fliss opened the purse and gasped(喘气). Inside was a passport, several credit cards, and a bunch of keys.

【答案】Paragraph 1:
Fliss immediately took the purse to the local police station with Molly. When they arrived, Fliss tied Molly to a fireplug outside and went in herself. She handed the purse to a police officer and explained everything. Greatly touched, he shook her hand and thanked her for doing her duty, promising that he would do his best to find the owner. Fliss felt reassured and went back with Molly. The next day, a journalist called to make an appointment for an interview.
Paragraph 2:
When the journalist came, they two were on the beach. The journalist was surprised to find that Molly was picking up litter, following her master. Fliss told the journalist it was on the way to collecting litter that Molly had found the purse. Hearing this, Molly stopped, wagging her tail as if she understood
the whole situation. Having learned about the whole story, the journalist got to know what they did to protect the local beach. Surprised and impressed, the journalist took some pictures. The next day they were on the front page of the newspaper. A minor action could make wonders!

Though it is one of the faded memories of my life today, there are times when I remember his face clearly, especially his eyes. As he had yellow spots on his eyes we called him Spotty. He would have been a stray(流浪的)dog, until he came to me.
I was seven years old. My dad had just got a new job in Nasik. We had moved into a rented house. It was raining very heavily on the day we moved.
It was a cold dark night. We had our meal and went to sleep. Somehow in the midnight I heard some strange sounds outside the main door. I gathered courage and looked out through the window and I was really amazed at what I saw outside.
There was a small puppy lying on an old doormat which my mother had put outside the door. It was wet and trembling. At first it was difficult to see the little one. It was the yellow spots on its eyes that made me realize its presence.
It was trying to get under the doormat to avoid the cold air outside and it had managed to get in as I could see only its head outside the doormat. Was it sick or injured?
I felt pity for the poor soul. I went in and came out with an old towel. I went near the innocent one and held it in my hand and wiped the puppy till。
