《Module 8 Unit 1 we’re going to visit Hainan.》教学设计
一、教学分析
本课是外研社小学英语教科书四年级(上)教材第八模块第一单元,该课围绕We’re going to visit Hainan. 来展开学习有关自己和集体的计划,教材创设了Smart 家要去旅行的情景来引出情景对话。
在本课学习中,重点通过听、说、读、写等活动使学生运用“Be going to”结构讲述计划和即将发生的事情,使学生能够理解并应用一些与此话题相关的词汇及短语,进一步发展学生的语言交际能力,提高学生的综合语言运用能力。
二、学情分析
本模块的重点是讲述自己、集体的计划和即将发生的事情,话题与同学们的实际生活联系紧密,学生们能即学即用,能从中获得学习英语的成就感。
四年级的学生已经初步掌握了一些关于表示活动、地点的表达方法。
但这是学生第一次接触“be going to…”句型,本课文本虽然于对话形式,不过相对来说,“一对一”的对话特点不明显,主要还是以讲述性的句式呈现。
而且本课涉及到的生词较多,课文句子较长,尽管话题内容紧扣学生实际,但学习起来可能会有一定的难度。
三、教学目标
(一)知识目标
1.能够正确运用一下单词及短语:visit、tomorrow、plane、get up、O’clock、from、sea、swimsuit、sock。
2.能够听懂并能说以下句子:I’m going to visit Hainan. / I’m going to visit my grandma. / We’re going by plane. / I’m going to swim.
(二)能力目标
1.能够正确运用:I’m going to…/ we’re going to…句型来讲述自己和集体的计划和即将发生的事情。
2.能够在小组活动中与其他同学积极配合完成学习活动。
(三)情感态度目标
培养学生能流利的表达将来要做的事情,培养学生综合运用语言的能力。
让学生通过观察祖国大地的美景,扩展视野,增强爱国情感。
四、教学重、难点
重点:能够正确认读单词、听说本课的句子
难点:能够应用I’m going to…/ we’re going to…句型来讲述自己和集体的计划,并在对话中正确使用学习过的用于自我介绍的交际用语。
五、教学过程
(一)Warming-up
1. Greeting.
2.Guessing game:How many pandas/chickens/bears/pigs/boys are there in the picture? (PPT出示不完整的图片,先让学生猜图片上熊猫、小鸡、熊、猪这些动物的数量,并引导学生用There is …There are…来描述。
最后出示课本活动一中男孩子的图片,让学生猜有几个男孩,从而导入到活动一的学习。
)
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning, Ms Zheng.
T: I am going to show you some pictures of pandas/chickens/bears/pigs/boys, and can you guess the numbers?
Ss: Yes…
T: Look at the pictures please! How many pandas?
Ss: one, two, three…twelve
T: Can you say it in a sentence? Use the sentence pattern: There is…or There are...
(依次提问How many chickens/bears/pigs/boys?)
Ss: There is…/There are…
【设计意图】通过猜一猜的游戏,调动了学生学习的积极性,复习了上节课的句型,活跃了课堂气氛。
使学生身心愉悦地进入到新知识的学习中。
(二)presentation
1.学习activity 1:Listen and chant.
(1)Look and say :What’s the boy going to do? Is he going to school?
(2)Listen and fill the blank: What’s the boy going to do? (学习单词visit 及复习短语eat some fruit, drink some juice)
(3)Chant together and underline “I’m going to…”
【设计意图】通过提问和追问以及三个任务来完成新韵句的学习,使学生在轻松的氛围中去思考问题,完成任务来学习新单词visit,复习短语eat some fruit, drink some juice;同时还初步感知I’m going to…的句型,为课文的学习作了铺垫。
2.学习activity 2: Listen , point and find“going to”.
(1)Listen and answer: Where are the Smart’ family going?
When are they going to visit Hainan?
How are they going there? By car/train/bus?
What time are they going to get up?
(2)Watch and match: Sam from China
from the UK
visit Hainan
Xiaoyong swim in the sea
visit my grandma
(3)Listen and follow and think: What happened?
Why they took the wrong schoolbag?
(4)Follow and underline the sentences “I’m going to …”“we’re going to…”
(5)Role play.
T: Now, open your books, and turn to P44, look at activity 1.There are two boys in the picture .They have schoolbags on their back. (教师做个背书包的动作)And what is this boy going to do?(这个男孩要去做什么?) Is he going to school? (出示学校图片)
Ss: …No/不是去学校/(去)动物园…
T: Yes, the boy is not going to school. And let’s listen to the tape to see how does he introduce his plan? Listen carefully and fill the blank:(请学生认真听,复述听到的单词;个别提问,对能回答正确的学生进行表扬。
)

T: Let’s chant together and underline the sentence “I’m going to…” which is used to introduce one’s plan. The winter holiday is coming; do you have any plans for travelling? (寒假快到了,同学们有什么旅游的计划吗?)

T: Can you talk about your or your family’s travel plans in English?

T: Ok, let’s have a look at the travel plan of Smart’ family, after that you can talk about your own plan in English. (板书课题:Unit 1 We’re going to visit Hainan.)T: Look at the picture(出示活动二图1) The Smarts are talking about their travel plan. Where are the Smart’ family going?

T: Hainan is a beautiful place. It’ warm in winter. And you can swim in the sea in winter. (展示海南风景图,学习单词sea, 短语swim in the sea)
When are the Smarts going to visit Hainan?

T: (教授单词tomorrow) Mr. smart said “we’re going to visit Hainan tomorrow.”And how are they going there? By car/ train /bus?
Ss: …坐飞机…
T: (通过复习旧知来教授新短语by plane)
And what time are they going to get up? 1 o’clock? 2 o’clock...?

(出示Smart一家在机场的图片)Now, they are in the airport waiting for their flight. At the airport, Sam made a new friend. What’s his name? Where is Xiaoyong from? What is Sam going to do in the sea? And what is Xiaoyong going to do? Watch the flash and do the match. (学习短语from the UK, from China, visit my grandpa)
T:(展示Smart 一家到达海南的图片)Look, the Smart family are in Hainan. Sam and Amy are very happy. And Sam is going to swim. But what happened?
Ss: …他拿错了小勇的包…
T: Yes, he took the wrong bag. The swimsuit, shoes, sock is not Sam’s. They’re Xiaoyong’s.(教授单词swimsuit, sock)
Why they took the wrong schoolbag?
Ss: …(引导学生观察图片,Sam 和Xiaoyong的包是一模一样的,同时提醒学生外出旅游的时候要携带好自己的行李物品)
T: next, let’s follow and underline the sentences “I’m going to …”“we’re going to…”(总结两个句型的不同)and then let’s do the role play together. Group 1 is Ms Smart. Group 2 is Mr. Smart. Group 3 is Amy. Group 4 is Sam. And I’m Xiaoyong.

T: So after the learning, do you want to travel? And where are you going to visit?
【设计意图】通过设计任务来让学生带着任务有目的地听录音学课文;通过提问和追问来让学生整体感知文本,体现语篇教学的整体性;采用图片和在具体的语境中讲授单词、短语,让学生在有意义的语言环境中学习。
(三)Consolidation and extension
There is lots of beautiful scenery in our country, let’s enjoy them.
利用课件播放一些祖国美好河山的照片,激发学生热爱祖国的情感。
然后分四人一小组,制定寒假旅游计划,完成下表:
S1: I’m going to visit .
S2: I’m going to visit .
S3: I’m going to visit .
S4: I’m going to visit .
通过讨论后,小组最后决定:
We are going to visit .
We are going to go by .
【设计意图】采用小组合作方式,既培养了学生的集体合作精神,巩固了所学知识,同时也使操练更加充分、到位,使学生对本课要求掌握的重点操练到熟练和自动化的程度,为在实际中运用打好基础。
让学生通过观察祖国大地的美景,扩展视野,增强爱国情感。

(五)Homework
1、和同学分角色朗读课文。
2、为你的家庭制作一个旅行计划(旅游目的地、怎样去、到那做什么),下节课前和同学们交流。
【设计意图】与开头呼应,不仅操练了目标语言be going to,引导学生运用所学知识解决实际问题,同时也激发了学生对祖国大好河山的热爱之情。
引导学生把所学知识应用于实际生活中,最终提高实际运用语言的能力。
将课内学习延伸到课外,维持学生对英语的持久学习兴趣。

教学反思
本课的学习重点是一般将来时be going to 结构的应用。
我用复习导入的方法让学生猜测图片上事物的数量来复习there be 句型,最后利用课本活动一中的插图来引出本课的
学习内容。
对于课文学习中,听课文回答问题,对于小学四年级的学生来说,说出完整的句子很难,所以我将问题设计成填重点单词短语、连线,以图片的形式整合,问题对话式呈现,降低解决问题的难度;巧妙的操练方式,很好地激发了学生学习兴趣,进一步巩固了I’m going to…和 We’re going to…的句式。
在句型练习中,我让同学们利用幻灯片,以小组为单位进行练习,在相互交流中要用上本课的重点句型,这样既学习了知识,又让同学们了解了我们美丽的祖国,激发了他们的爱国之情。
呈现老师的旅行计划给学生提供示范;让学生用本课所学知识制定旅行计划,目的是让学生真正做到在学中用,用中学的教学目的,体现了学以致用的教学思想,同时完成了课堂开始的任务:制定旅行计划;展示环节让学生体验任务达成的快乐与成就感,进一步激发他们学习英语的动力。
不足之处:课堂时间的把握有待改善,单词教学方面还有待提高,语篇教学中设计的衔接性和连贯性还有待优化,在提问和追问的类型、策略上应该要注意针对性,避免单一的问答形式。
在今后的教学中我会谨记着不足,及时总结改正,不断地完善课堂教学。
