The mantou seller then thought that he would play a joke on the student．He put ten mantou in the corner of a room and then locked the student in it．After a short time，the mantou seller opened the door of the room．He was surprised to find that the student had eaten all the mantou．The student explained，“For some strange reason，I suddenly decided that I liked mantou.”
The mantou seller was angry that the student had fooled him．He asked what other things he did not like to eat．“Oh，I like everything，”answered the student．“Exc ept at the moment I would hate to drink two cups of good strong tea！”

Florence Nightingale was a famous nurse．She was from a rich family．She took lessons in music and drawing，and read widely．She could speak several foreign languages，and she traveled a lot with her parents．As a child，Florence Nightingale liked visiting sick people and enjoyed helping them．Even when she was traveling in foreign countries，she often visited hospitals．She decided to be a nurse when she grew up．
In 1854，there was a war．During the war，many soldiers were wounded or became ill．The soldiers at the front were in great need of medical care．Florence Nightingale went with thirty-eight nurses to the hospital near the front．
After the war，Florence returned to England．There the Queen congratulated her on her work．But Florence said that her work had just begun．She got people
to give money to build the Nightingale Home for Nurses in London，where young girls went to learn nursing．
Florence Nightingale never married．On August 13,1910，she died quietly in her sleep at the age of ninety．To this day，we still remember her and the wonderful work she did．
