一、教材分析
本课来自外研版三年级起点六年级下册Module 4 Unit 1 The balloons are flying away，属于新授课。

本课主要教学内容是用现在进行时说明情境并寻求帮助。

本课的课文情境是Simon的妈妈为Daming准备生日聚会去超市买东西。

她买很多东西提不动，询问Simon和Daming 谁能帮助她。

Simon正在通话没法帮忙，Daming来帮助了她，结果一不小心橘子掉了一地，气球也飞走了。

Simon让大家看到气球上的祝福Daming生日快乐的英文，大家开心地笑了。

二、学情分析
六年级学生已经有了一定的英语基础，但是两级分化很严重。

本课的一个难点是现在进行时的表达，对于基础较弱的学生比较难于发挥，因此本课设计以激发学生学习兴趣为出发点，争取让每一位同学基本掌握本课重点，即如何寻求帮助和提供帮助的表达。

三、教学目标
1.语言能力：学生掌握单词balloon, carry, fall；学生复习短语fly away, carry
everything, on the phone; 学生掌握句子The balloons are flying away. Who can help me? I can’t. I can help you 。

2.文化意识：学会用现在进行时说明情境并寻求帮助。

3.思维品质：通过本课学习，培养学生互帮互助团结合作的意识，学会关心
他人、帮助他人、培养学生乐于助人的品质。

4.学习能力：能运用现在进行时描述正在发生的事情。

四、教学重点难点：运用现在进行时描述正在发生的事情；熟练运用句型Who can help me? Sorry, I can’t . I can help me来寻求帮助和提供帮助。

五、教学过程：
Step 1 : Warming-up
1.Greeting
2.Chant : I like you. You like me. We like apples. We like tea.

Step 2 : Presentation
1.播放视频，复习fly --fly away--ball--noon-balloon
2.展示课文人物头像图片，引导学生认出Simon, Simon’s mum和Daming.

( 2 ) What is she doing?
( 3 ) Is Daming going to have a birthday party?
播放课文视频，请学生回答问题。
