Module 3 Unit 1 Today is Halloween.
一、教学目标与要求
1. 知识与能力目标
能够听说读写以下单词：night，autumn，houses，people
能够听说认读以下单词：festival，scare
能够听说读写重点句型：It’s an autumn festival. It’s really fun.
They go to people’s houses. They scare the people.
能够找出课文中带They的句子，理解并指读。

在图文或场景下能进行简单的英语交流和表演。

能在情景中灵活运用本节课所学内容表达自己的思想。

2. 情感态度目标
了解有关万圣节的知识，在巩固语言知识的同时比较中西方文化，感受中西文化差异，体会文化的碰撞,进而体会跨文化背景下学习语言的乐趣，培养学生积极的学习热情。

二、教学重点及难点
本课的教学重点是重点单词、句子的听、说、读、写。

本课的教学难点是能够听懂课文，并了解有关万圣节的知识，创设相应的情境指导学生理解、实践、感悟语言功能。

三、教学过程
Step 1. Warmmer
T: Today is September the 15th. 再过几天我们中国将要迎来什么节日？（National Day）T: 在西方国家他们也要迎来一个很重要的节日，你们知道是什么节日吗？（Halloween）T:你能给大家介绍介绍万圣节吗？（鼓励学生说一说）
T:是的。

万圣节是西方国家的传统节日。

它在每年的10月31日。

是孩子们特别喜欢的节日。

因为在那天，孩子们可以穿上吓人的衣服，戴着千奇百怪的面具，提着南瓜灯去敲邻居家的门，邻居家的大人就会给他们发糖果或是零用钱。

如果我们中国也有这样的节日，你们会喜欢吗？
Step 2. Presentation
T:今天，Lingling, Amy和Sam一起过了一个有趣的万圣节，还得到了糖果。

让我们一起去看看吧！
Step 3.Text-Teaching
A. Listen to the tape , answer two questions:
a. What do children do at Halloween?
b. What do people do at Halloween?
B. Show the wa ll chart, describe and write “ festival, masks, hats, scary clothes, scare the people” on the blackboard, teach students to read.And talk about “ scary and scare”.
C. Let students look for the sentences contain “they”
Talk about “ they and them”
D. Li sten to the tape and read the text after the tape, (teach “ night”; talk about “people’s)
E. Read the text after me.
Step 4. Task-Teaching
A. Activity 2
a.Let students close their books. Listen to the tape, try to hear out the important sentences.
b. open their books, read the important sentences .

a.Do this exercise together, students say, I write the answers ( Halloween, scary, scare, sweets, night)on the blackboard.
b.Give students some time to master these words, then have a test.
C. 能力培养联系2
D. Write the short passage about Halloween.
Step 5. Homework
A. Review the vocabulary and the languages.
B. Practise writing the short passage “ Halloween”
反思：1. 在读课文时，发现学生对autumn一词不熟悉。

所以课后反思了一下。

如果之前让学生带着问题听课文时，再加入一个问题“When is Halloween?” 会更好。

那样既能引出autumn，给学生讲解一下，又能再后面的小作文中，使学生很容易想到运用到“It’s an autumn festival.” 这一句。

2. 课堂上写Halloween这个小作文是口头上的，没有让学生动笔去写一写。

如果课堂教学上能再紧凑一些，让学生在课堂上就动笔去写一写，我觉得会好一些。
