Teaching process
Step1 Greetings.
Teacher will give the students some information about herself according to four pictures .At the same time the teacher will also ask the students some questions.
Step2 Pre-reading
Show a big table to the students and have a quick review of the feeling words(happy, sad, angry, afraid), some verbs and phrases.
Teacher will teach the students some key words (happiness, sadness, anger, fear, calm)
Step3 While-reading
1Show the cover of the book to let the students know the title and the author of the picture book.
2 Show the video of the book to let the students have aoverall understanding of the picture book.
T: What color can you see in the video?
S1: I can see yellow.
S2: I can see blue.
S3: I can see…
3 Fast reading
Let the students to read the story as quickly as possible and try to find the key words of the story and then underline them. T: Please read the story quickly and underline the feeling words.
4 Intensive reading
Let the students to read the story as carefully as possible and try to fill in the blanks to finish the summary of the book.
Let the students to read the summary together.
Let the students to retell the story.
Step4 Post-reading
Try to sing a song about feelings。
