Firstly, the raw materials, including phosphorus trichloride (PCl3), methyl vinyl ketone (MVK), and sodium hydroxide (NaOH), are prepared.PCl3 serves as the main precursor for the synthesis of triazophos.Methyl vinyl ketone and sodium hydroxide are used as reactants in the amidation reaction.
The main production process can be divided into three steps: amidation reaction, esterification reaction, and deacetylation reaction.
1.Amidation reaction: In this step, PCl3 and MVK are reacted in the presence of a base, such as sodium hydroxide, to form an amidation intermediate.The reaction is typically carried out at a temperature range of 40-60°C.
2.Esterification reaction: The amidation intermediate is then reacted with another molecule of MVK in the presence of a catalyst, such as triphenylphosphine (PPh3), to form the triazophos ester.This reaction is usually performed at a temperature range of 60-80°C.
3.Deacetylation reaction: Finally, the triazophos ester is treated with an acid, such as hydrochloric acid (HCl), to remove the acetyl group and obtain the final product, triazophos.This reaction takes place at a temperature range of 40-60°C.
After the completion of the production process, the triazophos is purified by washing with water and drying.The final product is then packaged and prepared for distribution to the agricultural market.
