纸币应该被移动支付取代么英语作文
As usual, let's start with the conclusion: yes! This is already 90% done in China and the last 10% will be finalised when the digital currency (DCEP) becomes fully popular.
The term "e-money" is relatively uncommon and is not framed by the questioner, so the more commonly used term "digital currency" will be used later instead. China, as the mainstream economy with the highest penetration of mobile payments in the world, has the best chance of being the first to enter the 'paperless' era. So the following section will focus on whether the much-vaunted digital RMB will be able to take the final baton in the relay race to replace paper money and cross the finish line with flying colours.
Given the size of the domestic economy and the scale of transactions, there is already a consensus that mobile payments will replace the use of offline banknotes. In terms of individual perceptions, how long has it been since you've carried your wallet with you? How long has it been since you took out your credit card, not to mention
the paper money in your wallet?
But today's mobile payment solutions do not yet cover all scenarios where paper money is used, and the main scenarios that are really irreplaceable at the moment are the following.
Both the receiving and paying parties are offline; Both the recipient and the payer are anonymous;
The recipient refuses to accept mobile payments; According to Mu Changchun, who works at the Central Bank, in his course "Frontiers of Technology and Finance: Libra and the Digital Currency Outlook", the characteristics of the digital RMB are described in the above scenarios, where the digital RMB can achieve the same or better payment experience as paper money.
Dual offline payment and receipt
The most typical scenario is on an aeroplane without WiFi coverage, if you are travelling on a low-cost airline and need to buy extra meals or souvenirs from the crew - as both the receiver and the payer are offline, it is not possible to pay directly using the mobile payment method we are used to.
If a similar scenario were to occur after the digital RMB
becomes popular, a simple "touch" between two phones with the digital RMB wallet app installed offline would allow for a quick transfer of digital RMB. The whole process is as simple as taking notes out of one wallet and putting them into another, with no need to synchronise data with the bank.
Dual anonymity for payments and receipts
The popularity of mobile payments today inevitably has a side effect: every payment and the behavioural preferences behind it are recorded indiscriminately and stored on the mobile payment provider's servers. Using such services means inevitably compromising all kinds of privacy, and as the services become more popular, it will become increasingly expensive to refuse to use mobile payments for this purpose.。
