摘要：PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to provide a separating circuit for separating a data and a servo-signal, on a disk drive side, and also, to use one piece of magnetic head for both an erasion and a reproduction of the servo-signal, by providing a servo-sector between data sectors so that it is projected to the outside from width of the data sector. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disk 10 is provided with plural data sectors 11, 11,... which are formed by dividing a data track in the longitudinal direction. The data are recorded in these data sectors 11, 11,.... Parts between the data sectors 11, 11,... become gap areas 12, 12,..., and for instance, a prescribed gap pattern, etc., are recorded. Servo-sectors 13A, 13B,... are provided so as to be projected to the outside from width W of the data sectors 11, 11,... between the data sectors 11, 11,..., namely, on an area of both outsides of gap areas 12, 12,..., and in the servo-sectors 13A, 13B,..., a servo-signal for executing a tracking-servo is recorded.
