As soon as the final bell rang, I raced out of the classroom and down the hallway. Mom was waiting for me in the pickup line like always. "How was your day, sweetie?" she asked as I hopped into the car. "It was good, but I'm so glad it's the weekend!" I replied. We stopped for ice cream on the way home to celebrate the end of the school week. I got my favorite flavor - chocolate peanut butter swirl in a waffle cone. Yum!
When we got home, I went upstairs to my room and started on my homework right away. I wanted to get it all done so I could play video games and have fun all weekend without any schoolwork hanging over my head. It took me a couple of hours, but I finished up my last math worksheet just as Dad got home from work.
"Who wants to order pizza for dinner?" he called out. "Me me me!" I shouted, jumping up and down. Pizza on Friday nights is the best tradition ever. We got a supreme pizza with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions and extra cheese. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! After dinner, we all snuggled up together on the couch to watch a movie.
